My previous ride was stolen from my mechanics work shop. Depending on there insurance, the owners could be at a huge loss, or the work shop.

From what i remember (my workshops ins policy) required the vehicles keys to be left inside the cars or work shop. Also the reason why most shops have a sign saying leave vehicle at owners risk is because most policies dont cover theft.

I was lucky to get mine back because it was amatures that stole it, this sounds pretty organised.

GL to Bel in finding the cars and resolving the matter.

Just because they have a sign there it means nothing, they are still liable ( duty of care). If they can't afford to pay and they go broke you can't get anything . I hope they catch the bastards...

There was a case I read that was very applicable to this situation.

It involved a workshop where the keys were left unsecured in a workshop, there was no alarm etc, and a car was stolen.

From memory, negligence on the part of the workshop must be proven. e.g. did they take adequate steps, such as securing the premises etc.

Furthermore, they are able to exclude their liability for negligence.

Not saying all car theifs are imigrants and not saying all imigrants are criminals / trouble. But for the size of their population, they are very over-represented

I'm not saying all white people are two faced, lying, unprincipled and greedy f**kwits whose intellectual handicaps are only surpassed by their inability to comprehend reality....but for the size of the Australian Federal Government Caucasians are very over-represented.

dont beat around the bush, if you've got something to say about someone, then just say it

lol

+10 points for ingenious role reversal

Now I feel like a white victim ;) Why be hatin a white player? We love the ladies like you do too brother.

Everybody is the same, except for moon men... creepy little green bastards, ANAL PROBES... like what the hell! Who cares... you get good people and bad people... I run into plenty of bad white people, they generally get the title, bogans. Scary thought is bogans now wear "bogans" as a badge... even bands calling them selves "the bogans" and some jackass want to be group called "bogans on the run".

Back on topic, horrible to see this happen. Nothing worse then losing things that matter to you and having no control, even worse when in the hands of another person. Good luck to everybody in finding them... but it does sound very doubtful. But you never know... the future!

If you knew some information about the whereabouts of the cars and the people who stole them, and you rang that number on their website, I wonder how long it would take them to ring the police....

Or would they 'visit' them first.... you know, jus to make sure it is 'them', maybe with about 10 car loads of people????

I really hope this story has a happy ending, surely someone must know something.

Thieves aren't loyal to anyone, and if there is a 10K reward, you can bet your booties that someone knows someone who helped steal these cars.

the cops will arrest the reporting person, and charge them with being involved, and try and keep the reward. its been done plenty of times before.

so if they do this, where is the incentive gone to be a good samaritian. (speelling?_)

Interesting thread popped up on Fullboost...

VERY OBSERVANT OF YOU ! THIS NEEDS TO BE TAKEN FURTHER !!!

The Bona Fides of Sigma in Thailand - Trustworthy or Not ??

Would they be aware of the theft from Bel ?? Bloody Oath !!

Assuming that this car is the STOLEN ONE, the second pic does not have to be photo-enhanced to tell you where that car is/was !!

Next, the date of that person joining that club (November '06) coincides with the date of the theft does it not ??

interesting.. yes

but a coincidence.. i think yes too..

for what reason would this guy sign up to a forum after stealing a car such as that.. surely if you were to take a car you wouldnt go parading it about.. and to come from tailand to steal a car and just happen to know that car, the location and the security system would be a big ask.. especially considering the car wasnt to be there for a long time..

Can you confirm that because the background in one of the shots doesnt look like either Japan or Australia. So if the car was recovered firstly there wouldve been some heavy discussion over it and secondly, it wouldnt be appearing in Thailand.

How do you know the age of those photos?

Is it just me or is there more to this?

    • Sorry to hear your HFM BM57 was faulty,  did you contact HFM I would hope they would be at least grateful for the information if there was some sort of manufacturing fault, you would hope they would be sympathetic even if your item was 2 years old if it had never been fitted. May I ask where it leaked from ?
    • Cats are called Bella, and Donna...  Like that poisonous plant And I remember your 2 monsters, I remember making a little bit of wee when you let them out... LOL I have already installed cat doors into the laundry where their kitty litter is, and the sun room, apart from the cat doors there's not going to be any permanent mounted stuff on the interior walls (interior doors are cheap and easy to replace) I will get a outdoor cat cage thingie once I finish the landscaping out back... https://catnip.com.au/ The only off limit areas are the main bedroom and the gym room....but, currently the cats are curled up in bed, in the main bedroom with the Mrs.....LOL, the off limits for the kittens to the main bedroom lasted about 5 minutes with Jackie I currently only have 1 free standing huge cat tree multiple level scratching post thingie in the lounge room, but, I will be getting another one soon now that I'm happy with the furniture layout in the back room and have a perfect spot for it
    • All of this is making it seem clear that running the Coppermix twin was definitely the way to go, especially in hindsight with how insane tariffs have gotten and the strength of the USD vs yen at the time.
    • That sounds like no chance of even importing one for road registering then Now I see why Duncan wants to check LHD rules for Targa...   I wonder how "bolt in" the AWD would be if you got one imported from the US and swapped it to an AUD one
    • Not to mention they drive like a bucket of bolts! yuck!
