prob wasnt even a drag race, just a learner driver trying to learn how to drive, a taxi pulled out as they usually do and bang colision at 60 - 80kz full pelt.

You dont need to be racing to smash and die.

Similar thing nearly happened last nite, i go to my cousin when driving home after clubbing, watch it this taxi is gona rip out, and as they do, he came out not looking and lucky i warnd my cousin as he just missed the taxi.

hehe i wouldnt be racing lancers haha.

In all seriousness, taxis shouldnt be allowed on the road, simple reason because they think they own it and when i plow one over with my landcruiser jacked up with a bullbar the media will b like "18 year old p plater hunting down taxis" when really he got in my way.

mmm... ** scratches head in annoyance** taxiz are another pet hate of mine on the road. I always point and laugh  , when a shitty stock lancer try’s to have a go, and get them to lip read " you got to be Farkn kiddin". Then they power off [ use the term loosely] in a hugh. lol

as u c with the fotos the taxi would have come out without looking and the lancer had no choice but to slam into its left hand front quarter destroying most of the car.

for sure the taxi would have just come out.. its not rare

of course it's the taxi's fault.

He should not have assumed the lancer was going at the speed limit, and therefore he would have enough time to pull out safely... it's his fault the lancer was allegedly doing 110km/h.

I don't think taxi drivers have the best driving craft, but as if the lancer was not contributory. The fact that you so ferverently argue that it's all the taxi's fault shows an immaturity to driving behaviour. Do you condone that it is OK to speed if the driver is 'talented'? Let me guess - It's OK for me to speed because I have excellent driving skills - you have to look out for the real idiots out there - they're the one who pull out and crash into you.

I'd like for once to see high performance owners taking responsibility for actions.

exactly this person has killed a 15 year old passenger in his car (lancer) and an innocent taxi passenger and critically injured others..... taxi fault my ass.

My message to the driver:

Take responsibility for your lack of skill and judgement, you messed up, you killed innocent people sad i know but is no-ones fault but yours.... if you were doing the limit and the taxi pulled out no doubt it would have had another outcome...most likely non fatal.

i pass on all my condolences to the family of all involved including the driver, truly a sad and preventable waste of life.

well said ronin and trent...

Both are at fault yes. But how many taxi's these days do you see just pull out and could easily get t boned... Its one too many

Alot of people i know of who are excellent drivers get in prangs. Either someone tbones them or they tbone someone else.

Condolences to all involved.

    • Nope, needed to clearance under the bar a little with a heat gun, a 1/2" extension as the "clearancer", and big hammer, I was aware of this from the onset, they fit a 2.0 with this intake no problems, but, the 2.5 is around 15mm taller than a 2.0, so "clearancing" was required  It "just" touched when test fitting, now, I have about 10mm of clearance  You cannot see where it was done, and so far, there's no contact when giving it the beans Happy days
    • It's been a while since I've updated this thread. The last year (and some) has been very hectic. In the second-half of 2024 I took the R34 on a trip through Germany, Italy, France and Switzerland - it was f*cking great. I got a little annoyed with the attention the car was getting around Europe and really didn't drive it that much. I could barely work on the car since I was living in an inner-city apartment (with underground parking). During the trip, the car lost power steering in France - split hose - and I ended up driving around 4,000kms with no power steering.  There were a few Nurburgring trips here and there, but in total the R34 amassed just shy of 7,000kms on European roads. Long story short, I broke up with the reason I was transferred to Europe for and requested to be moved back to Japan. The E90, loved it. It was a sunk cost of around EUR 10,000 and I sold it to a friend for EUR 1,500 just to get rid of it quickly. Trust me, moving countries f*cking sucks and I could not be bothered to be as methodical as I was the first time around.
    • I assume clearances were all a-okay?
