I have used all.

Why do you want to step up?
Going to the track?

SR is more aggressive than ss.

FP3 doesn't bite aswell cold as the SR. But handles heat and Wear better. I recommend this for track.

If I were you and only using for the street, ss would be my choice.

If you really want to step up then go SR. Just remember that Cold braking will be slightly affected

Thanks for the speedy replies!

Looking more to improve the feel and performance I have now with the SS pads, with the hope of throwing in the odd track day in the future

Having the SR pads on the back too, I'd like to match or better the pads on the front performance wise. The FP3 sounds like it's more track suited if it's not as good cold, so I'll just grab the SR's, cheers guys

What Bill said. I've had both SS and SR, wouldn't do the SS again but the SR are great. They were excellent at Sandown with new RDA rotors too.
I have some squeal on the street under light pedal pressure but otherwise can't fault them.
Talk to Johnny for a deal :)

Had the Intima SR's on front now for a few weeks, they are really good.

No noise so far, minimal dust and decent amount of bite. Good pedal modulation under heavy braking

Street use only at this stage

I have Intima SR's as well on new RDA slotted rotors. Bedding in procedure was done correctly, but mine squeal like a pig when light breaking (i'm talking car park below 15km/h speeds)

On the road and under normal to heavy breaking they are noise free

I have Intima SR on the front on my wagon, it's quiet. Bit dusty though and overkill for my daily wagon use.

If it's a daily, should go SS :)

add a bit of copper grease between the caliper piston and brake pad - it helps :)

Bought Intima SR's from Johnny a while ago, they held up pretty good at Sandown, once hot they stopped awesome just felt I had to apply quite a bit of pedal pressure. Appart from the low speed sqeal I can't complain and Johnny was awesome to deal with

Power Stop in the US sent me a set of their "Track Day" pads.  Yeah, they're called "Track Day".   They're partners with Bondourant Driving School here and used on Vettes.

They're something like $65 and I think they're very cheap in comparison to what else is out there.  At New Jersey Motorsports Park I only had 30 minutes of track time due to an ABS pump failure but they performed well enough with ATE Type 200 fluid.  NJMP's Thunderbolt circuit has a two higher speed straights with braking zones from 120-130 to 60 MPH'ish.  The pads felt like they had no issues with the job.

After getting home and removing the pads, I think they wore down 50% or so.  I'd have to measure thickness but I'm not so sure they would have held up to a 2-day weekend and 120+ minutes of lapping.

    • Out of curiosity, how do you cover up the inspection hole? Surely it doesn't sit open like that, right? With grime and dirt coming in and oil going out?
    • Hi from Canada, Both of my calipers are starting to fail. My car is a 2005 M35 Stagea ARX and I can't seem to find any parts or any cross reference caliper that would fit my car. Is there a company or a similar caliper that would fit and I could replace the OEM one. Or if anyone knows where I can find a new OEM. Any help is very appreciated. Let me know!
    • Maf is a question mark but TPS  I have set at 0.47, the fact that I’m getting proper voltage range out of it with the key on leads me to believe it’s functioning properly. I’m getting proper voltages on basically everything. I still need to look up voltage ranges for z32 maf and test that
    • Honestly no not at all, but it’s a very basic tune, it’s stock injectors q45 tps and z32 maf. Other than that it’s a completely stock base map. The file is from nistune and from my understanding if it was tune related I would be able to unplug maf and tps and it would still start even if it was a really shitty start. I have tried starting it with coolant temp, maf, and tps unplugged none of those 3 togethor or individually changes anything
