current car: 1997 180sx type x

next car: another GTR, S2000 or perhaps a mazda FD3S

quick why?: i switched from a GTR to sil cause i like dorifto. but i miss the RB26 and 4wd grip sometimes. so may want to go to another BNR32 or BNR34

or perhaps a S2000 as i like the lightweight high reving engine.. good mix

then maybe a rotor..??

or a MX5...

i buy cars for fun rather than commuting

My last car was a 98 MX5. i'm currently in the market for somehing new, and am torn between an Evo 6 and R32 GTR.

Yesterday I was dead set on the GTR, today I saw an EVO and changed my mind, tomorrow it'll probably change again.

Decisions decisions!

I'm waiting till I get behind the wheel of both of them before I make any decisions, but what you guys think?

I'm awaiting a totally unbiased answer of course :)

R33 GTST to be replaced by 996 911 S. Probably a year or two away. That said the BMW 335i has caught my attention of late especially in it's performance during the Bathurst 24 hr.

My charade 1 ltr is to hopefully be replaced by a Renault Clio Sport.

I'll finally be happy with my garage (I hope).

Current Cars: Nissan 180SX ('92 model), Nissan Pulsar N15 Sedan.

Next Car: Well the 180sx is a long term keeper, so the Pulsar will go first. I think maybe a crewcab ute would be good. I need something that can carry four adults in relative comfort. Would be good to have a tow-car too, and something to carry spares around, so the ute would be ideal for me.

The next car that I upgrade will probably be my daily driver from a 1991 Peugeot 205 GTI to a boring 5 door VW Golf Mk V TD. I'll keep the R32 GTR for a while yet until an R34 GTR M-Spec Nur comes along or I can afford the new GTR.

  • 1 year later...

Current cars

08 Prado turbo diesel- Maybe Replace 09 [new shape] or keep and spend money on mods for gtr!

R34 Gtr- Keeping for 3 more years hopefully afford to modify more- replace late 2011 with R35

Thats if things go to plan and the economy doesnt get completely screwed!!! :thanks:

Edited by Duncan1

Fuel embargos not considered, I'd like to keep the R34 and then add...

i) a replacement R33 GTR for the one I sold 5 years ago and

ii) an R32 GTR (from Oz)

Yes, am a bit sentimental, but I figure that now I'm used to the confined space in the 4th Gen Prelude,

... I'll find the R32 quite spacious by comparison lolz.

Tez :thanks: ...the 3 GTRs will look nice together

    • Hi...so a "development" here aswell The swap is "done" and car went "test drive" BUT it seems the clutch(maybe gearbox?) is a little bit sad? I bought this clutch kit https://justjap.com/products/xtreme-heavy-duty-organic-clutch-flywheel-kit-nissan-skyline-r31-r32-r33-push-type "Problem" is that the first gear is hard to put into and it seems that the clutch is not disengaged. It was not the problem with the old clutch...(or like sometime the first gear would not get as easy specialy when the fluid was cold) So? Can it be like...bad "install" or is the clutch wrong ((it should not have been) i done research to get the right one) Or is this "normal" with new clutch and needs to be break in?
    • @Duncan I can try  and thanks i did not thought about VIN and part numbers for 33/34. @GTSBoy yeah it looks like iam gonna do that
    • Forgot to include this but this is the mid section of my steering rack that looks like it has a thread/can be turned with that notch mentioned in the post:
    • Hey everyone, Wanted to pick some brains about this issue I'm having with rebuilding my 33 rack (PN is 49001-19U05). All of the tutorials/videos I've seen online are either R34 or S Chassis racks which seem to be pretty straightforward to disassemble but this process doesnt carry over to my rack. Few of the key differences that I've noted The pinion shaft on the other racks bolt on with 3 torx bolts: Whereas my rack bolts on with 2 allen head bolts: These changes are pretty inconsequential but the main difference is how you pull the actual rack out of the housing. The other skyline/s chassis racks can be taken out by tapping the rack out of the body with a socket and it just slides right out. I'm unable to do that with my rack because there's a hard stop at the end that doesn't let the seal/shaft be tapped out. Can also see a difference in the other end of the rack where mine has a notch that looks like you're able to use a big wrench to unthread 2 halves of the rack whereas the other racks are just kinda set in with a punch. My rack: Other racks: TLDR; Wanted to know if anyone has rebuilt this specific model of steering rack for the R33 and if there were any steps to getting it done easier or if I should just give this to a professional to get done. Sorry if this post is a bit messy, first one I've done.
    • I would just put EBC back on the "I would not use their stuff" pile and move on.
