Yeah, he was quicker than me all day. But i was happy with a 1.32. I only did two or three sessions out there so i was very happy with my time, and only 3 seconds off the pace of the owner. Oh and no i dont fit in the car all that well, dutton will be intresting.

yeah its pretty embarassing when someone jumps in your car and is quicker than you :D:)

so Ryan was in the 1.29's hey... was this on RE55's? cos if it was I think he has a couple more seconds in it still... I've done a 1.29 around there on streets with the speed limiter on and I think our cars are similar power/weight

its hard to drive a car fast that you aren't comfortable in but you should have plenty of practice adapting to different cars :)

I ran a 1.19.32. Handbags ran a 1.19.37. As my friend Vin says "It doesn't matter if you win by an inch or a mile...." :)

Scotsman only ran a 1.21.something as he was caving under the pressure. :D

In my defence it was the breaks that caved under pressure.

But the car is capable of a 1.19, so that's all I need to know.

My times have got me stumped. there is still a bit in it but i wanted to take the car to dutton in 1 peice. 150rwkw for the lose. Sandown is a power track!

Troy what was your time

I didnt actually run so my car is still in one piece :domokun:

In my defence it was the breaks that caved under pressure.

Meh, after your cheap shot at my car. Coming to a track day with not enough pads idoesnt fly. Hell, even i changed my pads on Saturday as the old ones were a little past 50% :D:):)

In my defence it was the breaks that caved under pressure.

But the car is capable of a 1.19, so that's all I need to know.

Sure sure, go back to the drag racing!

Yeah but Handbags ran the 1.19 AFTER you ran the 1.21. So surely he had less brakes than you did

:)

In Chris's defence he did not get a clear run it that sesion at all. The brakes had absolutly had it by the time I brought the car back. Peddle to the floor and used about 30% of the pad in one sesion. The only thing in my favour was that there was a bit of rubber on the track and it was as warm as it was going to get. I seriously think the car can run a 1.18 with good stoppers.

Oi and snowy running in the teens doesnt make you a good bloke. You need to buy me a frigen burger rather than sending me to the back of the line to achive that. :(

was good to watch, curious on what speeds u guys get in the GTR's on the straights? looked like you were flying.

"Teh GTR will neva lose"

or what ever that sticker was, made me laugh

was a top day!

the 'bird was performing pretty well, still suffering a lot of understeer, and can't get the power down out of corners as early as i'd like.

blew an intercooler hose off in one session, progressively lost the manifold-turbo gasket throughout the day and an O2 sensor that refused to stay in its hole.

little problems, but enough to see me only get two timed sessions before calling it quits. but not to worry, had heaps of fun in my final session and took a second off my PB, down to a 1:33.2

car's still got a fair bit in it, my testicular mass is the limiting issue

desperately need a tacho. after watching the in-car footage, i realised just how early i'm shifting! she was cutting out at about 190-200km/h in 5th, but we know it's not the speed limiter, so thinking it's the AFM maxing out. bugger.

...and good footage Jack. But what happened to the Stig...LOL it looks like you were driving ANGRY today  But parkign it on the 1:18s all day. Fark me that take a lot of committment

The Stig was on a mission for a 17, but driving with anger was not going to cut it.... Smooth is the Stig's style, but the gearbox wasn't up for another session...

Although it was great entertainment for the spectators, so I was told anyway.....

    • Sorry to hear your HFM BM57 was faulty,  did you contact HFM I would hope they would be at least grateful for the information if there was some sort of manufacturing fault, you would hope they would be sympathetic even if your item was 2 years old if it had never been fitted. May I ask where it leaked from ?
    • Cats are called Bella, and Donna...  Like that poisonous plant And I remember your 2 monsters, I remember making a little bit of wee when you let them out... LOL I have already installed cat doors into the laundry where their kitty litter is, and the sun room, apart from the cat doors there's not going to be any permanent mounted stuff on the interior walls (interior doors are cheap and easy to replace) I will get a outdoor cat cage thingie once I finish the landscaping out back... https://catnip.com.au/ The only off limit areas are the main bedroom and the gym room....but, currently the cats are curled up in bed, in the main bedroom with the Mrs.....LOL, the off limits for the kittens to the main bedroom lasted about 5 minutes with Jackie I currently only have 1 free standing huge cat tree multiple level scratching post thingie in the lounge room, but, I will be getting another one soon now that I'm happy with the furniture layout in the back room and have a perfect spot for it
    • All of this is making it seem clear that running the Coppermix twin was definitely the way to go, especially in hindsight with how insane tariffs have gotten and the strength of the USD vs yen at the time.
    • That sounds like no chance of even importing one for road registering then Now I see why Duncan wants to check LHD rules for Targa...   I wonder how "bolt in" the AWD would be if you got one imported from the US and swapped it to an AUD one
    • Not to mention they drive like a bucket of bolts! yuck!
