hahahahahah, the posts are kiiling me in this thread! ahahahahah

Roy, comparing a modded 32gtst to a ferrari f430...hahaha.....i could mod the shit out of my 32 and get it faster than an f430 too...wow, great. shitbox datsuns run quiker 1/4 miles than the veyron...wow. fantastic...who gives a shit.

u overtaking an f430 at the dutton rally does not impress me. niether does a worked up, stripped out datsun runnin a faster 1/4 than a veyron.

cars like the f430 roll out of the factory and can do amazing things, and are instanty recongised as fantastic drivers cars. they are SUPERCARS.

so please stop comparing ur skyline to a ferrari, its just sad.

lol

u sir have no clue

oh, btw:

There are only a handful of cars in the world that truely qualify. Think Porsche Carrera GT, McClaren F1, Enzo, Ford GT40, Bugatti Veyron, Saleen, Pagani Zonda, Koenigsegg CCX etc etc... these are 'true' Super Cars.

This has been a great popcorn thread

The GTR is a great drivers car for sure and Nissan did a great job building it but at the end of the day it is just a Nissan/Datsun and these days the tech is getting a little old. A gtr can be quicker than an f40, f50 and many other big name cars but at the end of the day which would you rather drive?

Oh and btw the Saleen according to the rules about supercars having a bespoke chassis shouldn't be a supercar as I believe every model starts with a corvette chassis.

haha, im calm...just so much shit talk in this thread, lol

So roy's opinion on F430's is shit?

i wish my old r32 could have taken an F430 around a track.

id rather spend say, 20k on an r32, than 500k or wateva f430's are goin for, and the 32 still takes it on the track.

just my opinion.

LOL if a convertible F430 Golf Buggy hits a pole in the middle of the street is it still good to get to the 19th hole?

How did we get to this point again??? LOL, Datsuns are crap and how is it the Skyline gets on the list. The 240 ZED should have made the lilst before the Skyline

Roy, your biased and taking the piss. Well done, the 32 goes hard but why this conversation is still trying to compare a horse to a nisan is kinda stupid.

Someone mentioned before that Japan asnt produced a true supercar..well, what exactly then is the Toyota GT-1?

And Nissan? The R390 Gt-1? Anyone who says that its not a bespoke chassis, blah blah blah is talking crapola.

Nissan and toyotas had to make road going versions of these cars as the rules implied this for lemans competition.

Those two cars would dust just about anything on the top 10 list...

hmm, if i had a spare 400k to spend...id be happy to buy an f430...and it wouldnt bother me one bit if an r32 overtook me :P

don't make be change your user name to "Golf Buggy". lol.

troy you arsehole you just made me spit on my new 20inch monitor as I tried to contain my laughter. post of the month for sure.

Yeh good point. But the R390 was built by Uncle Tom and was based largely on the XJR15 jaguar. But the Toyota...on the money. Kicked ass at at that 24 hour race somewhere in the jungles of France too :P

    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
