who the hell are you and where do you think you can come in with a comment like that.

I know the prices were the same.

i know the release dates were the same.

what no one knew was whether there would be a manual and i have TOLD you there wont be!

whats it to you anyway?

my moment in the TMS sun! I was there, and i wanted to tell you guys about it. Whats your problem with me?

Well someone has let all this get to them, haven't they??!

You went to the TMS, you had something to post about and Rich should just leave you be. The rest was pretty common knowledge. TBH, I couldn't care less who you think you are but you had real info that has a place in this part of the forum. I think you should take a breath before jumping down people's throats.

My comment about the rest of the world reading 90% of what you'd posted still stands though, champ.

yes I think a bit of lighten up is in order. you are both right, it was poor form to post what I did, but I thought it funny, and rather than keep my negative thoughts to myself I posted them. big deal, I made fun of your grab for glory. I thought it funny that you had this great 'scoop' emerge 4 days after the launch. in hindsight I should have giggled to myself and left it at that. yes it's all valid info and I can now accept that many people may not have known it. the reason I call it a grab for glory is if you really just wanted to share info you would have added it to any one of the number of suitable threads in the section. rather than starting 2 more of your own.

so I apologise for making fun of you adam. if you want me to remove it I will.

but heed this advice. learn how to take criticism with good humour, and think about what you say when you react. otherwise your stay on the forum will be a short one. 2rismo was defending you, and you just went nuts at him.

I think i might jump in here,

"but heed this advice. learn how to take criticism with good humour, and think about what you say when you react. otherwise your stay on the forum will be a short one. 2rismo was defending you, and you just went nuts at him."

Adam i wouldnt take this personnally, especially coming from Beer Baron. I also wouldnt accept his lame attempt at redeeming his integrity infront of members of this board. His attitude has always stunk. Especially towards newer members.

Ive had similar run-ins with him over turbo related posts; where he has been unquestionably incorrect and, i have corrected him yet he could not take my criticism with good humour either!

How hypocritical! I say let him stand on his high horse because atleast he doesnt fool us!

that doesnt sound like advice BB. That sounds like a threat. If you think your words dont apply to you as well, if i was you id stop and take a long hard look at myself.

dont just go around and scoff at what i post. Im making an effort here to be involved and all you and some others feel like doing is sticking the boot it. You come across as a know it all and thats a pet hate of mine.

And thanks Andrew, i wont take it personally. I just feel like my efforts have gone unappreciated... again.

Sorry admin, ill try to get the information on the forum faster next time.

your contributions are appreciated on the forum Adam... how its received is up to the individual.

i have to accept i cant please everyone, but thanks for the comment, funky.

Not wanting to fuel any fires here and i don't know anyone, but it must be said (i was following the thread post by post) it sounded like the convo the op had with the enginner was pretty exclusive and quite clear that a 6 speed manual GTR will not be released (ever) which is quite contrarary to 90% of what i've read. Not talking about the DSG coming to Australia or anything. I thought it was quite relevant.

whatcyutalkingabout shaun?

looks exactly like electrically actuated front drive to me, which is great news as far as being able to control it. hope the actuators can handle very high torque though

thanks for the pics adam

    • You just need to remove the compressor housing, not the entire turbo. I would not be drilling and tapping anything with the housing still on anyways.
    • So, I put my boat on a boat. First of all, I'm going to come out and say it. Why is Tasmania not considered a holy goal, an apex that all road-legal modified cars go to, to experience? This place is an absolute wonderland of titanic proportions. If people are already getting club runs for once in a lifetime 30 person cruises to Tassy then I've never seemed to see it. It is like someone replaced the entire place with an idyllic wonderland for cars, and all of the people living there with paid actors who are kind, humble, and friendly. Dear god. After doing a lap of almost all of the place I've found that it's a great way to find out all of the little things that the car isn't doing quite right and a great way to figure it all out. All in all, I drove for 4 hours a day for a week and nothing broke. I didn't even need to open the engine bay. This is by all means a great success, but it has left me with a list of things to potentially address. I also now have a 3D printed wheel fitment tool which annoyingly hasn't got any threads in it to actually assemble it. I might be able to tape it together to check the sizing I actually want to use, but it'll likely involving pulling the shocks out to properly measure travel at least at the front, and probably raise the car while I'm at it, at least in the rear. I scraped on quite a few things and I'm not sure how else to go about it. I was taking anything with a bump at what felt like 89 degree angles. And address those 10 other tasks. And wash the car. God damn it is dirty. And somehow, the weather was perfect the entire time - And because I was on the top of Mt Wellington it turns out it was very much about to freeze up there. I did something I typically never do and took some photos up there in what must have been -10 and the foggy felt like suspended ice, rather than mere fog. If you own a car in Australia, you owe it to yourself to do it.
    • Damn that was hilarious, and a bit embarrassing for skylines in general 😂 vintage car life ey. That R33 really stomped. Pretty entertaining stuff
    • Hi, I have a r32 gtr transmission. Does any of you guys have an idea how much power it will hold with the billet center plate and stock gearset? At what power level and use did yours brake with or without billet plate? Thanks, Oystein Lovik
    • Saw this replica police car based on a Mitsubishi Starion XX parked next to a 'police box' (it's literally a box) in Hirohata, Himeji City in Hyogo prefecture the other day. It's owned by Morii-san who is a local Mitsubishi Starion enthusiast. According to a local radio station blog post, he always wanted to make a police car himself based on ones he saw in his favourite Manga comics.  As it's illegal to modify a car to look like a police car and drive on the road, Morii-san tried many times to get permission from Aboshi police station headquarters nearby. They refused initially by after they got tired of that they granted him permission. However, the car can only be displayed on private property and obviously can't be registered as long as the police livery is present. The car was completed at a cost of 1.5 million yen (US$ 10,000) in addition to the car cost. A location was chosen outside Hirohata Police box where the car can easily been seen from the street. Morii-san has two other Starion road cars, both widebody GSR-VRs.
