D'oh! poor fellas. on the bright side at least he hit the cheap end... :P

I didn't even know it had started yet!!

be carefull the rest of you boys (and girl)

ps. the 'girl' is russ...

They still ra nthe Shakedown but were only allowed to run up the hill, not down and then up. it's claimed a few cars over the years that tree. Both 35's were looking do today through both stages i did. Ben and Russ really seem to know how to push the car, going very hot into the chicanes too. caught up with them after the competition today, 2 of the nicest blokes you will ever meet :-)

Ben and Russ has a minor off today, and the running-people-over bonnet popped up. Looking at the car you wouldn't know it had been off the road (now the bonet is back down). Appart from that they are going great, just wishing for r comp tyres, the std ones are quote "shithouse"

hey you know that they've been trying when they have to get pulled out of a ditch.

Kel and Tony are in 6th, still not really happy with the tyres or handling either but at least they are giong a long way better than at Targa.

Is it still going to be wet tomorrow Ben?

Toyo are supposed to be releasing an R Comp (R888's) for the R35 at the SEMA motorshow in November apparently. I must say I've never thought the Toyo's were much chop on heavier cars like normal GTR's but given these were pretty much specifically designed for this car for the US market they might be ok (and surely will be better than what the options are now).

Anyways despite the small issues it sounds like from the text mssages that the boys are having some fun so thats all that matters.

There are a bunch of Evo 9s kicking around in the country with Ralliart TMM (Team Mits Motorsport) style stickers.

Different one from Targa roll over.... that was Rod Salmon

:)

My car, I sold it to Rod

Good stuff....Kel ended up coming home in 5th which I reckon is a pretty good outing.

Rus and Ben also made it home (9th) although I hear there were a few white post casualties on the last stage - then again who hasn't knocked out one or two of them

And funnily enough the DK R32 came home equal 5th with the DK R35. I guess the old nuggets still go OK too.

    • Yes, I know🙄 but the sequential is not in my budget... don't want to reduce power neither, so looks like I'm stuck in the rabbit hole🤣
    • You’ll be very upset when you bust that too not to mention the gearing totally sucks. Don’t do it.
    • Is the panel filter one that is oiled? Have you ever cleaned or touched the AFM?
    • So.... the K&N air box thingo was too big, ended up gifting it to a mate, well, by gifting it he actually supplied food and beer at the pub,  which was nice, as it will not sit on a shelf in the garage for the next 10 years I did trim up some of the existing stuff to neaten it all up and gave it some wrinkle paint, unfortunately it currently has a used and abused mish mash of different types of hose clamps, 4 big fat T bolt type (shit), and a few normal clamps of vairing sizes and brands, but..... only until the 6 constant tension black worm clamps that I ordered from EFI solutions turn up next week Currently the current hose clamps are triggering me hard, LOL Is this the final version, probably not, I really want just 2 silicone pieces, a straight bit of silicone from the filter to the MAF is easy and will happen as soon as I head into Just Jap tomorrow, the problematic part is a 30° silicone bend from the MAF to the TB that I can connect the engine breather from the head, I found that there are bulk head fittings for boat bilge pumps that should work, but until I can get a 30° silicone bend the alloy pipe, and the 11ty thousand hose clamps, are there for the foreseeable future 4 hose clamps are golden, 6 are grudgingly acceptable, the 8 currently holding it all together is just taking the piss    I've also ordered 60 more retaining wall blocks for the front yard, I mis-gonculated the height that was required to get above the base of the Photinia's (red robin's) that are the hedge behind the front fence, currently it is 2 blocks high, and about 1/2 a block short, so going 3 blocks high will be above the base of the red robin's, and allow some room for mulch
