Some have had issues with ryco filters around high 300's kW on e85.

I'm not sure what to replace mine with before the new engine goes in

There are a few options, I use a SpeedFlow 10 micro SS screen filter, Weldon have 7 micro fiberglass E85 safe filter

And I am sure others have different things they are using

Cool I think I'll get the same. $200 for the filter sound about right? I'm getting all my speedflow weld on fittings from the same seller.

Rewired directly to pump from battery (in boot) with relay

I had my one set up exactly the same when I was running one pump. However I had issues as the pump was overheating when below 1/4 tank and pushing it. It was all fine when it had more fuel than that.

I'm at 448kw on e85 stock fuel lines stock fuel pressure with a 460

Had a flow gauge on it and is at it's safest limit

Hey mate, out of curiosity what would be your next step if you were to push it further - can you go larger in-tank pump or will you have to look at going external?

Twin 460's?

The problem is the tank lid, and getting the thick wiring through it. If only there was a cheap alloy lid available. I have been keen to make a few on the lathe, but the sealed power connectors are my main issue.

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
