My uncle is VERY cool, but he's also very law conscience he doesn't really care about us crashing (well obviously he does) but more so 3rd party damages....

You'd have to crash into something friggin' expensive (or human) for him to care about paying out for that and not the Lambo.

Assuming you have a vic license how do you have a full license and still be under 21?

Using my Hong Kong License because I'm a student I don't have to change it over so it's recognized as a Full license, I also have an international one but i can only use that for the first 3 months everytime I come back into AUS I think

Update: I'm pretty getting rejected flat on my ass on every inquiry we got a couple but it's like 4g's for 3rd party!!!

clearly you are a fool - how much do you expect to pay for a car of that value for under 21?

i bet you expect pay like $1500 full comp for it under 21 years

good luck sport

As mentioned by others your uncle aint that stupid it seems. Hes smart enough to get his shit together to purchase the car so I assume hes smart enough to know you wont be insured for it...and if you could the cost would be crazy and rightly so.

How much is your uncle paying for insurance?

If my memory serves me correctly about ~10 years ago maybe more when Mark Phillopousis was a young tennis star he made headlines for having a $20k plus insurance tag on a ferrari.

The only way you will be able to drive it is if your uncle has insurance over the car and his insurance policy doesnt exclude young drivers.

1. you cannot get insurance for a car that is not in your name.

2. If it was in your name I think $20k a year is probably a reasonable premium to pay. (plus have fun paying the stamp duty to transfer the ownership!)

Ha? What you talking bout? Course you can be insured to drive a car thats not yours. Im insured to drive my dads ute thats in his name.

Theres NO WAY youll ever be insured. Ya dreaming. I couldnt even get any sort of cover, not even 3rd party to drive my GTR when i was 18...

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
