Fantastic news.

Let's hope the judicial system doesn't let us down and more importantly, the poor gentleman that was assaulted.

Wonder where the 3rd guy is. They seriously should just deport them. That is the best punishment. Our jail system must be like a haven for them compared to back home. C'mon - free food, shelter, bed, TV, and knowing that you won't be killed is a much better deal for them. Of course they aren't afraid to go to jail.

The fraction of immigrants who not only fail to contribute anything to society, but are a burden on taxpayers and even attack innocent people are not welcome and should go back home. I'm not paying tax to keep these dropkicks comfortable in our cushy jails, ready to be let loose again into the community after a token few years have gone by :)

i bet they get off with a slap on the wrists.

sad but true the courts are an absolute joke.

just f**king deport them - if only our government would grow some balls.

Unfortunately we have to expect this to happen. These guys come from some pretty crappy places where violence and crime is not only common place but part of the culture; they get to Oz and what happens? We give them assistance this assistance that and a police force that is hamstrung by strict use of force guidelines. It's like Disney land for scum bags. These arse hats are used to a Police force and Army, that aren't afraid to use a strong hand. Sending these guys to prison would be like a holiday camp.

Now for all the politically correct out there. Sure there are nice people there blah blah blah and you cant tar entire people with the same brush blah blah blah but come live and work here for a while and see what goes on, the lack of respect for human life.

Answer: Deportation and quick tune up on the way to the airport

send em back

thank god there isnt many around my suburb. heaps in reservoir though

the best thing you can do is carry a cheap arse empty wallet. if alone and about to get mugged just throw it in a different direction and flucking run

the newzealanders are even scarier.. though they wont really do anything their just intimidating

all that is why i now keep a trolley pole in my bag at all times. you never know when some crazy mofo's gona hit you these days

Braybrook - no surprise there. I do IT work for a large NFP Organisation that provides services to the community in Braybrook. I had to go to site for an evaluation of the buildings cable etc. Man it was one hell of a sketchy place, pretty scary to be honest.

hey go easy....ive grown up there....having said that ive delt out quite a bit of abuse to "troublesome africans" in the past....once i was near the wreckers on ashley street there and got into a blue for one of them stealing some shite....out the front of the wreckers there was and old heater hose which i picked up and beat him repetativly with :( he was singing like mariah carey

Worthless pieces of shit. I saw this on the news and was totally appalled. They should be sent back to wherever the f**k they came from, beaten within an inch of their life and left in a ditch.

Im not a racist, i have no prejudice towards differing races, i just have zero tolerance for people like this, regardless of heritage or skin colour.

They are the dumbest motherf**kers ever. Not only are they totally uncoordinated, not being able to kick a stationary target, they dont even realise that by doing those kind of things, they are disgracing their entire race, giving the rest of their people in this country a bad name.

Do they realise that?? no, because they are total f**king idiots. People like that dont deserve the right to even breathe. Call it harsh, i just CANT STAND people who do this kind of thing.

Fingers crossed the courts make an example out of them.

its kind of an asian thing expecially if your orginally from an asian country say international student to ignore stuff and not get involved. Thats been my observation in all the asian countries I've been too. Unless they've grown up or lived in a western society for a while majority would just heads down and keep on walking.

It does look like there were some words thrown around but no one deserves that kind of thrashing over a few words.

It's a blind risk too with people like these, they may or may not pull a knife on ya. I've been around the asian scene in my days and what I learnt is always expect the worse.

awhile ago an Indonesian student got beaten up, robbed and stabbed by some drunken bogans in Footscray station, the locals did not help, hell even there was no news about it not until the Indonesian embassy got involved.

edit: oh yeah, and f**k the normal excuses like their country was a war torn country. Sri lanka is a f**king war torn country and yet im living by the rules in Australia...just amazes me what crims can really get away with these days just by saying stupid excuses.....

i may just be ignorant, but i didnt know that, maybe it is because Sri Lankans don't use it as an excuse to be animals and just kick back on welfare... Most Sri Lankan family men i have met have worked 2-3jobs FFS

ppl dont know it because the media doesnt speak much of the war

Right now - lots of ppl are homeless - but no one will know, cos the media thinks its better to focus on people like ben cousins etc

faaaaaark i wanna break some skulls. just got off my cap and was able to watch that vid. deport the filth. i agree with emsta, coming from a trrible situation DOES NOT entitle you to behave like an animal. under no circumstances.

oh and Ahmed Mohhamed? thats pretty much "john smith". what im dissapointed in is that the African community hasn't spoken out against this. i think they'd wanna distance themselves from these f**kers

    • For DBA, check out their guide table here. https://dba.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/Direct_Replacement-Guide-2021.2.pdf   Additionally they have some other guides and info on how to make sure you choose the right pad.
    • Sorry, just assumed that talk of coloured pads meant EBC red/green/yellow/shit stuff. I don't know the DBA pads, but it's a reasonable bet that they will be OK. DBA make good stuff generally. Those 4000 series rotors I linked to are very good. I may well replace the RDA rotors I have with those when required.
    • The average previous owner for these cars were basically S-chassis owners in the US. Teenagers or teenager-adjacent. I often tell people that neglect is easier to fix than something that was actively "repaired" by previous owners.
    • Update 3: Hi all It's been a while. Quite a lot of things happened in the meantime, among other things the car is (almost) back together and ready to be started again. Things that I fixed or changed: Full turbo removal, fitting back the OEM turbo oil hardlines. Had to do quite a bit of research and parts shopping to get every last piece that I need and make it work with the GT2860 turbos, but it does work and is not hard to do. Proves that the previous owner(s) just did not want to. While I was there I set the preload for the wastegates to 0,9bar to hopefully make it easier for the tuner to hit the 370hp I need for the legal inspections that will follow later on. Boost can always go up if necessary. Fitted a AN10 line from the catch can to the intake hose to make the catchcan and hopefully the cam covers a slight vacuum to have less restrictive oil returns from the head and not have mud build up as harshly in the lines and catch can. Removed the entire front interior just shy of the dashboard itself to clean up some of the absolutely horrendous wiring, (hopefully) fix the bumpy tacho and put in LED bulbs while I was there. Also put in bulbs where there was none before, like the airbag one. I also used that chance to remove the LED rpm gauge on the steering column, which was also wired in absolute horror show fashion. Moved the 4in1 Prosport gauge from sitting in front of the OEM oil pressure gauge to the center console vents, I used a 3D printed vent piece to hold that gauge there. The HKB steering wheel boss was likely on incorrectly as I sometimes noticed the indicator reset being uneven for left vs. right. In the meantime also installed an airbag delete resistor, as one should. Installed Cube Speed premium short shifter. Feels pretty nice, hope it'll work great too when I actually get to drive. Also put on a fancy Dragon Ball shift knob, cause why not. My buddy was kind enough to weld the rust hole in the back, it was basically rusted through in the lowermost corner of the passenger side trunk area where the wheel arch, trunk panel and rear quarter all meet. Obviously there is still a lot of crustiness in various areas but as long as it's not rusted out I'll just treat and isolate the corrosion and pretend it's not there. Also had to put down a new ground wire for the rear subframe as the original one was BARELY there. Probably a bit controversial depending on who you ask about this... but I ended up just covering the crack in the side of the engine block, the one above the oil feed, with JB Weld. I used a generous amount and roughed up the whole area with a Dremel before, so I hope this will hold the coolant where it should be for the foreseeable future. Did a cam cover gasket job as the half moons were a bit leaky, and there too one could see the people who worked on this car before me were absolute tools. The same half moons were probably used like 3 times without even cleaning the old RTV off. Dremeled out the inside of the flange where the turbine housing mates onto the exhaust manifolds so the diameter matches, as the OEM exhaust manifolds are even narrower than the turbine housings as we all know. Even if this doesn't do much, I had them out anyways, so can't harm. Ideally one would port-match both the turbo and the manifold to the gasket size but I really didn't feel up to disassembling the turbine housings. Wrapped turbo outlet dumps in heat wrap band. Will do the frontpipe again as well as now the oil leak which promted me to tear apart half the engine in the first place is hopefully fixed. Fitted an ATI super damper to get rid of the worn old harmonic balancer. Surely one of the easiest and most worth to do mods. But torquing that ARP bolt to spec was a bitch without being able to lock the flywheel. Did some minor adjustments in the ECU tables to change some things I didn't like, like the launch control that was ALWAYS active. Treated rusty spots and surface corrosion on places I could get to and on many spots under the car, not pretty or ideal but good enough for now. Removed the N1 rear spats and the carbon surrounding for the tailpipe to put them back on with new adhesive as the old one was lifting in many spots, not pretty. Took out the passenger rear lamp housing... what do you know. Amateur work screwed me again here as they were glued in hard and removing it took a lot of force, so I broke one of the housing bolts off. And when removing the adhesive from the chassis the paint came right off too. Thankfully all the damaged area won't be visible later, but whoever did the very limited bodywork on this car needs to have their limbs chopped off piece by piece.   Quite a list if I do say so myself, but a lot of time was spent just discovering new shit that is wrong with the car and finding a solution or parts to fix it. My last problem that I now have the headache of dealing with is that the exhaust studs on the turbo outlets are M10x1.25 threaded, but the previous owner already put on regular M10 nuts so the threads are... weird. I only found this out the hard way. So now I will just try if I can in any way fit the front pipe regardless, if not I'll have to redo the studs with the turbos installed. Lesson learned for the future: Redo ALL studs you put your hands on, especially if they are old and the previous owners were inept maniacs. Thanks for reading if you did, will update when the engine runs again. Hope nothing breaks or leaks and I can do a test drive.
