The 53mm GTRS turbines don't work with RB25det engines very well.

The SAT stands for Special application turbocharger. This one is made only for Rb26 and Rb25 turbo engines working with large external gate setups.

We can high flow them to -5 or -9 depending on the HP chasing for.

With the damaged -7s I need to have a look at the turbo, the smallest billet wheel that I currently make is in 60mm that made 250rwkws on P98 on my SR20det.

The -9 idea sounds the go, what's involved in that and can it utilise the billet wheels

Also an idea on pricing, PM if needed

I have also posted in the Kando thread about fitting the 20.5g TD06SL2 onto a RB26 manifolds in twin form

Car is going in for tune next week with the 21U highflow and I can't decide which injectors to use.

I have a set of S15 440cc injectors (cleaned and flow tested) or potentially a set of used Nismo 740's.

If the 440's are enough for around 260rwkw (keeping conservative AFR's and safe injector duty cycle) I'll use them. If not I have to shell out for the 740's.

Car will be running PULP.

Why not just grab a set of ID's/xspurts? They're pretty cheap and have a 725cc injector and have E85 capability should it become available near you. Not sure what a used set of 740's goes for but I'm sure the xspurts would only be maybe 100 or so more

I want to keep the factory side-feed rail for now.

The 440s will be at or above max to make ~260rwkW. Will do it, but will not have any of that safety factor you were after.

I guess that answers my question!

Hey,

Recently purchased the newer version of atr43ss2 (internally gated 17psi actuator)a few weeks ago. Vehicle has following mods :

Nistune

Dvs custom metal intake 3" with breather and returns

Factory air box with high flow panel

Z32

Braided oil lines

Jjr dump/front pipe 3"

Catco race car 3"

Turbosmart boost tee

Ngk-r BKR7E 0.8mm gap

Blitz return flo cooler

Nismo muffler

Nismo fuel pump

Id1000

Dvs jez tuned vehicle and was only able to safely make 230kw going from 18psi Down to 15psi.

Elimination tests:

Removed top of airbox and tune ( minimal gains)

Removed muffler and tune ( minimal change)

Checked boost leaks etc

Running shell 98

I'll get the dyno graph and other details when I pick up vehicle.

Dvs tuning advised may be the return flow cooler causing the issue.

Any advice. I'm stumped.

Check pressure drop across the cooler. I see this happens with certain model of blitz coolers. Also pre-load the actuator abit more.

Green is before cooler and the rest is after.

Any idea on duty cycle at that power level?

That was about 95 DC at factory pressure, I have since upgraded pump and bumped base pressure up 5psi and car has since made 293rwkw with new rings and bigend bearings and HG on same boost level

95DC is not advisable, but I was trying to achieve something which I am 0.14seconds off :(

Edit : with the way I have my car set up it is very good on fuel and has got over 630km from a tank full

when you say 'safely' make .... was the engine knock limited?

3 things I see MIGHT cause you issues

1) JJR dump pipe ( this is a copy of the HKS item and that was never really much chop )

2) boost T will cause boost to tapper off

3) return flow cooler could be causing pressure drop, Stao has graphs of this from his GTR

    • I thought Australia got rid of the "drag dodgy fuel up to 91 RON with ethanol", which is why all E10 advertise as "up to 94 RON" ? Anyway I put E10/91 in the missus' Mazda because she empties the tank weekly, when all my cars get 98RON. tl;dr - turbo - 98 RON, if you can't afford that, sell it and get a commuter car (or tune your car for 91, which no one does).
    • Yeah i found that alot of parts can be wrong or "very" hard to get the real right one. I already bought some brakes years ago on me "old" GT calipers and they were wrong too 😄  I told them too. Even send them pictures...but they said "EBC catalogue has them on my car... So i dont know what their answer will be. I call monday them and let them know that they are really not on my car. If they were they would be already on a car...
    • Welcome to Skyline ownership. Yes, it is entirely possible parts websites get things wrong. There's a whole world of inaccuracies out there when it comes to R34 stuff (and probably 33 and 32). Lots of things that are 'just bolt on, entirely interchangable' aren't. Even between S1 and S2 R34's. Yes they have a GTT item supposedly being 296mm. This is incorrect. I would call whoever you got them from and return them and let them know the GTT actually uses 310mm rotors. Depending on where you got them from your experience and success will obviously vary.
    • Hi...a bit a "development" on the brakes. I spoke to the guys where i get brakes from...and they are saying that 296mm EBC are for R34 GT-T. I then went to their site: https://www.ebcbrakes.com/vehicle/uk-row/NISSAN/Skyline (R34)/ and search for my car(R34 GT 1998 - it has GTT brakes) and it show me this USR1229 number and they are rly 296mm rotors... So now iam rly confused... The rotors i have now on the car are 310mm asi shown... So where is the problem? Does the whole EBC got it wrong or my calipers are just...idk know what?
    • Oh What the hell, I used to get a "are you sure you want to reply, this thread is XX months old" message. Maybe a software update remove that. My bad.
