I really don't know why it didn't make power on yours. The CHRA that went into it all OP6 housings are idential. Also most of R33 2IU's people's high flow have made around 235rwkws mark. Status Hub dyno reads within 1 KWs to Mainland roller dynos. it can't be 50KWs off unless the dyno you went on actually read low.

also Are you using BP or Mobile 98 fuel? Was your rubber intake pipe sucked shut on boost? Or clutch slip?

The .63 rear housing that bolton to your stock manifold and dump cost $500 to make. I will need you to send the turbo back for its housing profile.

Hey Stao, meh doesn't matter I'm blaming it on a low reading dyno lol and I'm told that they tend to read quite a bit lower compared to other branded dyno's its really only around 20kw lower ie 300hp =220kw.

yeah BP ultimate 98, nope no sucking shut (i modded it while the turbo was off) clutch is fine.

all said and done I'm happy with the car. cheers

chris

Chris how about I will machine you a ATR43 .63 Rear housing for half price of retail. Just see the amount of power gain with bigger housings as I don't currently have a Skyline to get those data my self.

Also a Stock RB25Neo should've produced around 210rwkws on 14psi but only 175rwkws out of that dyno. So I guess it is possible the dyno did read out low.

my car only made about 190rwkw with stock turbo at around 12psi i think.

Then 252 or 255rwkw at about 17.5psi with the high flow.

Status dyno is VERY accurate - i think stock run vs base line run at Status, i pulled a little more on the RE dyno a few months before taking the car to Trent.

SS8_GOhan , r u running a bigger rear housing? because Tao gave me an identical OP6 Rear housing to put on my r33 and now im having problems putting on my exhaust....? Dump Pipe and so on..did u encounter the same thing?

Stao, do you ever sleep? i mean 1am on a week night. sounds like a plan if you are willing to do it, i just wont be telling the ladie why the car aint running again :(

could you please PM me a confirmed price and i will transfer some cash into your account like last time. i'll also have to confirm with work that i can have a ute for a week.

you will need to give me a list of all the info that you require in exchange. ie dyno printouts, booste graph, setup etc etc that way i know what to get.

regards

Chris

Stao is the man! hehehe ummmmmmm urtwhistle, did your turbo lag? when did fullboost kick in ? let me know... cos im trying to fit in my op6 rear housing atm...

hey Geraus, the dyno prints are on page 13. it looks a little laggy on the sheet but it drives preety dam good. it just didn't appear to make as much power as i thought but my car has always dynoed lower then average. nothing serious tho. So were going to fit the biggest housing and tune it to that to see how it responds. should be interesting to overlay all the dyno prints. ie stock turbo@14psi G3@14psi G3@17psi and the atr43.63 housing @14-17 psi.

Also like to add This is a 3 years old TR44. The current version will be able to pump out 330rwkws without Nos.

Just had a ATR43G3 installed on a test car.

Some installation Notes:

The turbo fits directly onto standard manifold, and dump pipe in exact position. How ever due to the larger diameter of .63 turbine housing, one factory water line that comes behind the engine (towards engine side) touches the turbine housing by very slight. To fix this just loosen up the hollow behind engine and alter the steel line few mms lower.

On intake side. The ATR43's compressor out let is round in 2 inches and intake is round in 3 inches. There are plenty ways to adapt them onto pod filter and cooler pipings. I've just sleeve 2x rubber pipes to get the car back on road. Or you can send in your stock comp housing which requires no intake side fabrications when putting it back.

Thing looks pretty standard. haven't had other mods put in yet. car felt like taken off on a jet. Will get fuel related mods and ecu. Hopefully seeing 300rwkws with stock cams and 98 fuel.

Will there be any loss of power using the standard comp cover since the intake is smaller than 3" and the outlet is smaller than 2", also is it possible to have an elbow welded onto the outlet of the bigger comp cover so it meets up with the standard piping.

Looking forward to the results, especially what rpm max boost is reached by.

Standard comp housing can be used on G1 and G2 profiles only. with this G3 profile I'm getting 13psi at 4000RPM. You probably get 20psi at 4500RPM. I guess for 300rwkws its not too bad. any one's got some cheap 550cc injectors for sale? PM me. Pickup only

This is for some one that is interested in 300zx.

This is a initial run with my 300zx test car running twin ATR25s at 18psi. Stock injectors has been maxed.

For the RB20det It depends on turbo's profile. if you run G1 profile it would be very responsive on road. Should see boost around 3000RPM and get 20psi by 4600RPM.

ATR43 G1 is made to produce around 250rwkws. You should be able to get around that with stock cams around 20psi of boost on a RB20.

Thanks.

    • For these last 7 years of ownership, I've always had to use a small scissor jack under one of the front tow hooks to raise the front just enough so my low-profile jack fits under to reach my subframe jack point. I'm beginning to get annoyed of always having to do this. Are there any lower low-profile jacks that fit under the gtr lip on a dropped car?
    • Seat of the pants assessment of the new intake: The car is way less "doughy" when hitting the loud pedal, especially off idle when stopped or in traffic, I did use a cheapo lazer thermal thingo to measure the temp around where the pod filter got its air, it was between 55 - 60°C, in saying this the car was shut off and not moving, so the OEM intake pipe was not supplying any fresh air to where the pod was when the car was at least moving A weird bonus was induction noise on the throttle in the cabin increased a bit,  I was worried that I was actually going to lose some of that induction noise I love so much, outside though, when I got the daughter to do a WOT drive by pass for me, the induction noise has increased alot when on the throttle, not quite ITB doort, but well up there I'm extremely happy with the results and have been exploring the country roads in the region  As for house mods: 1.New front fence is up and is awesome, it really upgraded how the joint looks from the street, and the added security is nice 2. Electricians have replace some interior lights, and with more lighting in the garage, a few new motion detecting lights out the front above the garage, front room, and at the front door, which I have already found heaps helpful coming and going, also now has fancy pants CCTV all round the house The only hold point for power though is the solar and batteries due to supply issues, although this will happen over the next few weeks 3. I have done a heap of landscaping out the front and I'm almost ready to do a new small retaining wall with some nice blocks to replace the brick and cemented in rocks around the raised garden beds cemented in river stone "was the fashion at the time" the house was built. I currently have a pallet of retaining wall blocks and 2 bulka bags of 20mm blue metal to replace the wood chip that is in the raised garden beds around the house 4. I now have 3 big raised garden beds for out the back to grow some vegetables, about 70cm high, 200cm long and 100cm wide 5. My 2 compost bins are already pretty full with brown, green and kitchen waste from the landscaping I'vedone so far, but they will probably take a few months to break down, so anything else that gets chopped, trimmed, and kitchen waste will just start filling the base of the raised garden beds to about 30cm before I start throwing 40cm of good compost, and stuff, for the vegetables to grow in, I'll need a few ton of compost and soil, but the local supplier can sent me bulka bags of the stuff Basically the logs, wood chips and a few strategically placed rocks for drainage, will give the beds some good organic materials down low to break down over time, and they will hold moisture during the warmer months to save the water in my big arse water tank if we don't get alot of rain So, all in all, the car and house mods are going well, and I'm really enjoying being retired, I sleep in too 0700 and slowly plod around inside until I feel like actually doing anything, and only work in the yard for as long as want, which has actually been alot over the last few weeks,  although when you look at it, it seems that not a huge amount of work has been done,  until I look at the before I started the work pics Happy days and good times indeed
    • hahaha yeah. Plan is to get side skirts and probably just rear pods. But going to do them one-by-one. I've got a set that I really like from RHDJapen, but that one isn't shipped to AU. So need to find someone who can get it for me
