Yep, it was actually built by Racingline. I gave it to Ice but they split before they got started and it was finished by Nigel and Karl at Racingline.

It is now owned by another forum member.

I live right next door to the Daily Planet lol

Aiming to get back to the dyno the weekend (or Friday) after the easter long weekend.

Guilt, will you be free sometime around then?

I want to wind the boost up from 17PSi to 19PSi also. Hopefully then with a bit more boost and the hi flow cat, it will crank out ~300AWKW.

It will be interesting to get a power run done on a Sydney Dyno down the track to compare results.

+1 for pepe's avatar.. :)

What other body parts did she flash you?

Sorry to get off topic here, but until there is more information about Bakes's build the boobies have caught my attention!

yeah mate, you know the score, whenever you are ready!

you should get the shirt man to finish that timing belt first though imo

Did he forget to tighten another one? LOL LOL

Just kidding Bakes i am sure it will be fine.

Guys if you have a look at this post, it appears a "before" power figure was known (late December 2008);

Im starting to collect parts now for my goal of ~320AWKW.

My R34 GTR was stock when I bought it, I have installed the following:

* Exhaust: HKS Front pipe and Cat Back with Hi Power Muffler.

* Fuel: Nismo Fuel Pump and Fuel Pressure Regulator.

* Control: HKS EVC 6 Boost Controller

* Intake: HKS SPL Piping Kit with Super Flow Pod Filters.

Current Power: 240AWKW at 1.2 Bar

When was the compliance cat discovered? Quite strange to change the front pipes and the cat back without doing cat at the same time, even so, if it was a POS cat, surely any decent exhaust shop wouldve mentioned it when the car was picked up so it could be fixed in the future, or even right then if they were trying to get some more money out of the job at that time.

Very suprised it has a restrictive cat if what Bakes posted in that above post was correct.

Well Bakes, good luck with it

Car came from Japan with HKS front pipe and HKS rear pipe with Hi Power Muffler and with stock or compliance cat. I wasnt aware it was the stock cat at the time I typed the old info.

Some body probably forgot to take the rag out of the inlet when they had the engine apart to keep all the dirt and crap out and that is what the problem is .

Dont laugh , I've seen it done before .

im my defence i was on my 16th beer and it was only a mates gtr

lol

    • Look for broken wire or bad connector at the motor. Might not be it, but is worth starting there, as it is easy.
    • Hi everyone, I’m having an issue with my R32 GT-R. Sometimes, when the car goes over a bump or experiences some vibration, the 4WD warning light comes on the dashboard. When I check the code from the control unit in the trunk, it shows Code 19 – ETS Motor. However, everything seems to be working fine — if I turn off the engine and restart the car, the light goes away and everything functions normally. Has anyone experienced this before? Where should I start troubleshooting this issue? Thanks in advance!
    • I'm back from the dyno - again! I went looking for someone who knew LS's and had a roller dyno, to see how it shaped up compared to everything else and confirm the powerband really is peaking where Mr Mamo says it should. TLDR: The dyno result I got this time definitely had the shape of how it feels on the road and finally 'makes sense'. Also we had a bit more time to play with timing on the dyno, it turns out the common practice in LS is to lower the timing around peak torque and restore it to max after. So given a car was on the dyno and mostly dialled in already, it was time for tweaking. Luis at APS is definitely knowledgable when it came to this and had overlays ready to go and was happy to share. If you map out your cylinder airmass you start seeing graphs that look a LOT like the engine's torque curve. The good thing also is if you map out your timing curve when you're avoiding knock... this curve very much looks like the inverse of the airmass curve. The result? Well it's another 10.7kw/14hp kw from where I drove it in at. Pretty much everywhere, too. As to how much this car actually makes in Hub Dyno numbers, American Dyno numbers, or Mainline dyno numbers, I say I don't know and it's gone up ~25kw since I started tinkering lol. It IS interesting how the shorter ratio gears I have aren't scaled right on this dyno - 6840RPM is 199KMH, not 175KMH. I have also seen other printouts here with cars with less mods at much higher "kmh" for their RPM due Commodores having 3.45's or longer (!) rear diff ratios maxing out 4th gear which is the 1:1 gear on the T56. Does this matter? No, not really. The real answer is go to the strip and see what it traps, but: I guess I should have gone last Sunday...
    • 310mm rotors will be avilable from Australia, Japan, and probably a few other places. Nothing for the front can be put on the back.
