Thanks to all the organizers and volunteers for sacrificing their spare time to run an awesome event. Without these people, such events would not exist. THANK-YOU! :(

I had a ball as usual. There should be a "Best Entertainer" category. Where you lack in driving talent you make up with smoke! :P

Hope there are plenty of pics!

this the sort of thing u looking for Al?

Keen on footage as well, fingers crossed someone caught the green Datsun's short defiance of gravity!

haha, hopefully. I thought he was going to topple. That was some massive two wheel action :(

Thanks the Leon, Wayne, Shane & Crew for letting me stay with them, and Leon and Wayne and Rob for taking me out on the skidpan in the afternoon. Glad I could help, I should have brought a chair though. Legs and back are a bit sore today from so much standing :P Lots of a great driving, and of course some entertaining skids courtesy of Al as per usual hehe

My hat has made it back to Melbourne, but someone popped my cock and balls balloon last night :(

To anyone who cares, I started learning to drive manual today when I got back. I'm wrecked :)

Rest of my pics can be found here:

good event guys, organising the food van was a great idea, saves a lot of time for the committee and offers some different food

some of the battles looked fantastic, and very challenging. the driving skills of some of the guys has improved ten fold all round

one that came to mind was the p plater in the 33 GTS he was amazing for a p plater and handled very well

Thanks to all the organizers and volunteers.

Also a big thanks to all photographers, I think all will agree that getting photos/video's after the event of your car is one of the most exciting parts of the experience since we never get to see ourselves from the outside.

I lost my nerve in a big way after nearly tipping the car over in a place that you shouldn't be able to roll a car and will contribute that to being a couple of seconds off the pace on the wangs but I know frysie and Russ won't take any excuses!

I really enjoyed watching nick thrash his new GTR until it carked it (I hope it's not that bad mate) as well as Tim in the silver machine. It's also a pleasure to watch Chris/Ryan going out time and again throwing down clean runs. Did you guys end up deciding who's car you're going to both drive to finally settle who's the better peddler?

Haha thanks :( yeah was my first time out there but was so much fun, even in the non turbo i cant wait for the next DECA to come!

And now that I have my CAMS license i can start going to some other track events which should be good.

Thanks also to the photographers got some nice pics there :P

Martin THANKS!!

I will send my request on Wednesday :)

Also forgot to say a BIG THANKS to Dave (Gazelle D), for helping me out with my fire extinguisher, my day could have been over before it started. THANKS MATE :(

No probz AL, i will always do what i can to help ! ironicly i needed help after my first 80% run on long/mini wang as i had discovered my seat belt buckle had issues :P

I was able to rectify the problem and was let back in out of sequence by bec, THANK You !

unfortunetly i was unable to take passengers from there on but my mates michael and mark helped me rip my seats out in minutes to try rectify the problem. I'll probly invest in some bucket's and harness before next meet.

LOL Al, NUTR33 is trying to steal your "Best Entertainer" making smoke reputation :P

NB: Image downloaded from emts 's album - Thanks for some awesome shots!!

Here is a video that I quickly edited this arvo (whilst nursing a hangover!) I only had video footage of Lukes runs due to being busy helping out

Yes you are correct :)

Awesome event and a big thanks to the organisers and volunteers :)

Can't wait to see the vids from the pan  I haven't done DECA for at least 3 years and that was in the gtst...while I didn't miss the elec problems I had with the gtst at the time I realized that I missed those handbrake turns after my first run on the pan

Was some great driving by all and good to see that there were no 'incidents' - Nick I hope all isn't bad news and that you'll be back out there in no time.

It seems no matter how I try I keep getting shots of Skylines as well as Subies :)

with my compliments ....

    • It is a kunfine Android screen . Does anyone know the wirering diagram of the fuga ??
    • just an update to this, poor man pays twice  Tried sanding down the pulleys but it didnt do the trick. Chucked another second hand alternator in the na car which I got for free off my mate and its fixed the squelling. Must have been unlucky with the bearings.    As for my turbo car, I managed to pick up a cwc rb alternator conversion bracket + LS alternator for 250 off marketplace, looked to be in really good nick. Installed it , started the car and its not charging the battery.... ( Im not good with auto elec stuff so im not sure if this was all I needed to do but I verified such by using a multimeter on the battery when the engine was running and I was only getting 12.2v )   I had to modify the earth strap for the new LS alternator , factory earth strap was a 10mm bolt which did not fit the bolt on the LS alternator which was double the size so I cut it off , went to repco bought some ring terminals that fit, crimped it onto the old earth strap and bolted it up to the alternator , started the car and same issue. Ran like shit and was reading 12.2 at the battery.  For a "plug and play" advertised kit thats not very plug and play but alas.  My question is , am I missing something ? Ive been reading that some people recommend upgrading the stock 80 amp alternator fuse to a 140 amp but I dont see how that would stop the alternator charging especially at idle not under load.  Regardless ive pulled it out and am going to get it bench tested by an auto elec tomorrow but it would be handy to know if ive missed something silly or have done something wrong.
    • My wild guess is that you have popped off an intake pipe....check all of the hoses between the turbo and the throttle for splits or loose clamps.
    • Awesome, thanks for sharing!
    • To provide more specific help, more information is needed. What Android screen? What is its wiring diagram? Does the car's wiring have power at any required BAT and ACC wires, and is the loom's earth good?
