Time for some updates

I had this green puddle appearing under the car. Was time for a new water pump.

Out with the old

And in with the new

The airbox is now complete and installed.

I found that the coolent bleeder was blocked, so I had to remove the bleeder bar and blow it out with a air compressor. Unfortunatly I broke the barb that goes in it for the header tank, and that barb is all the is stopping the engine bay from being 100% complete. We also have mounted the canisters for the shocks.

The glass has also been installed. The car should be on the road early this week for some road tuning.

ME SO HORNY!!

love it mate. looking very nice now. I think you should let me borrow it for a while. i have too many cars so I'll happily give you a 2 for one deal for a quick swap. :) it's so nice. nothing un-necessary just all the right gear to go fast. it's probably my favourite car in this section at the moment. :)

Just went through the build for this, well done it looks awesome, cant wait to see some footage of it running.

What sort of power are you expecting from the motor? Interested to see how the rb20 highflow goes, i'm thinking of going that way on my rb20 to.

What paint did you use on the rockers?

So with AFMs being the nightmare they are, the radiator/intake beunbg reasonable solid mounted to the car, the AFM solid mounted to the radiator/intake...is there any concern over vibration and failing AFM? Given its on the inlet side i would be trying to throw some silicon either side to dampen any vibration it may be seeing

I recon the AFM will handle it

Billit turbochargers high flowed it, was about $1600. I'll get a better idea of the responce when I tune it tomorrow. But the inital reaction is that it's pretty responsive on the limp around tune.

Looks great, that airbox is tops IF the AFM does break just tune without the AFM? :D but yeh looks like there is some flex in that blue piping anyway should be fine.

The engine paint looks nice as well I like it :) going to put some braces over the top?

I think the Haltech can live without a AFM ;)

Yeah i'll be getting some strut braces at some stage, just on the lookout for some cheap ones. possibly an engine dampner too, as I don't want to be replacing engine mounts all the time.

    • Agreed, and in particular the earth strap that should go from the subframe to the chassis but it often broken or left off. There is a section in the R32 workshop manual you can follow for troubleshooting if you don't see anything suspicious, and depending where you are (there is no location on your user profile) you should be able to get your hands on a second hand replacement unit still if needed
    • Yeah they mention as a R34 for 2.5 Turbo...but then again thos "small" were also for R34 by that different site. But i look into it and that 310mm EBC is for R34 GTT. And by those you linked the specs are the same 🙂    EDIT: I found these on one site here: DBA 4000 series T3 DBA42304S They are 310mm...and it says are for R34GTT...are there good? EDIT2: ok they have pads too.  What "color" should i get for street use? I dont want/need some noisy ones...(and if they are not that dusty that is good too)
    • Yeah, shame. Maybe  driver's carpet is available 🙏. I am waiting for both amayama and nangun to confirm.
    • Probably. I take it that they are also mentioned to be for R34 Skyline? For example.... RDA has that part as RDA7957. I have the dimpled and slotted version of that on my car https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/285518478694?srsltid=AfmBOopKxMuAFpsxZJdB1cam4D5RAj1f9yJyOttPZLAwXVNCOiwlhrIy This is DBA's top one piece equivalent https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/364246686631?srsltid=AfmBOorbb0XHQgqTvZLgQPhg70nqJtGvdojKnugum3O2LFSr2h-obp8D
