Yeah I remember yours being taken, same guy (the other offender) f**kwits!!!

have you thought about going to the media?

Seeing as a gun was involved it would help to get attention to this and possibly catch the offenders and recover whatever is left of the car.

If you did get some media attention it may make the cops get off their lazy asses and actually go look for the offender rather than just taking a report and not acting on it.

my 2c.

Or you can spend a few hundred and get one that if the car is stolen you sms the phone a certain code and it will sms you its current gps coordinates or its last gps coordinates if the signal is lost.

hey man sorry to hear bout ya car.

the area behind that maccas is filled with maoris and shit .im gonna go take a look round there tomorrow .{being monday} if i see anything i grabbed ya number of the first page ill call u .pretty well known for steling cars and drivng them around the area .WOT CAN I SAY SOME PPL JUST ASKEN TO GET A GOOD BEAT DOWN .

man personally they can take the car its not worth getting shot over but yeh melbourne is fkd tyre iron is not leaving my side wish cops would catch real criminals instead of worrying about my car been low/loud..

id still rather be shot than have mine taken  ... its funny how if even if the cops do catch them they still dont get the punishment they deserve n in more than 1 case do re-offend

just do sum cheap DIY beating the living f**k outta the low life scum bag!!! id rather be shot than have sum prick take my car, its like sum c**t holding a gun on u 4 ur girl... really really hope u find the car all in one peice and even better find the scum of society with it

Nah man it ain't worth standing up to a gun. Let them take your material goods cause they can easily be replaced, but the lives of you or your family can't...

That's just f*cked.

Not being racist - just an un-fortunate observation....

Too many (not all) of these "darker" skinned people think they are "gangsters" and try to emulate what's going on in the USA. Very disappointing.

Just boils my blood.

If these people wanna play "gangster" the only solution is to treat them like ones... tie them up - smash all their knuckles with a hammer - that way they can no longer hold a gun, knife or have self pleasure.... Best part is they stay alive to see/think about what hey have done....

yeh true true aye... btw did he have insurance???

WTF, another stolen Aristo??? There was one stolen a couple of weeks ago...now another one? What does this say - that these cars are wanted or are easy targets?

That's terrible, so sorry to hear that mate....those farken kunnts

yeah he had insurance, not sure about most of the mods though.

on vicimportsclub.com on the thread in there his mate who was in the car posted the story, after reading it you could understand how traumatic a situation like that could have been. just glad they both got away unharmed.

what the f**k has victoria come to? as a teenager in the 90's i had no worries about going to raves at global village in the middle of footscray in the middle of the night, now you cant even go through there in a f**king car!

Word. Surgeon @ Pureflow '00, Footscray Flower Center was one of my best nights out ever. Melbourne night life has definately changed a lot since then.

Yeah I agree...with cops chasing imports like a man chasing titties...it sure doesn't help with all this criminal shyte too! :(

melbourne night life is rubbish these days... bring back the old days!

Agreed...Melbourne has become so much more violent, most chicks that go to clubs are broad minded personts now and cops are targeting imports like Skylines without any degree of mercy...I am quite sick of getting pulled over all the time.

car MAY have been spotted in sunshine at grocery store, guy who spotted it said it looked exactly like the 1 stolen except had different plates..took couple pics we waiting for him to upload them. couple guys have gone down to the area to see if they can spot it.

    • Have a look at that (shitty) pic I posted. You can see AN -4 braided line coming to a -4 to 1/8 BSPT adapter, into a 1/8 BSPT T piece. The Haltech pressure sender is screwed into the long arm of the sender and factory sender (pre your pic) into the T side. You can also see the cable tie holding the whole contraption in place. Is it better than mounting the sender direct to your engine fitting......yes because it removes that vibration as the engine revs out 50 times every lap and that factory sender is pretty big. Is it necessary for you......well I've got no idea, I just don't like something important failing twice so over-engineer it to the moon!
    • Yup. You can get creative and make a sort of "bracket" with cable ties. Put 2 around the sender with a third passing underneath them strapped down against the sender. Then that third one is able to be passed through some hole at right angles to the orientation of the sender. Or some variation on the theme. Yes.... ummm, with caveats? I mean, the sender is BSP and you would likely have AN stuff on the hose, so yes, there would be the adapter you mention. But the block end will either be 1/8 NPT if that thread is still OK in there, or you can drill and tap it out to 1/4 BSP or NPT and use appropriate adapter there. As it stands, your mention of 1/8 BSPT male seems... wrong for the 1/8 NPT female it has to go into. The hose will be better, because even with the bush, the mass of the sender will be "hanging" off a hard threaded connection and will add some stress/strain to that. It might fail in the future. The hose eliminates almost all such risk - but adds in several more threaded connections to leak from! It really should be tapered, but it looks very long in that photo with no taper visible. If you have it in hand you should be able to see if it tapered or not. There technically is no possibility of a mechanical seal with a parallel male in a parallel female, so it is hard to believe that it is parallel male, but weirder things have happened. Maybe it's meant to seat on some surface when screwed in on the original installation? Anyway, at that thread size, parallel in parallel, with tape and goop, will seal just fine.
    • How do you propose I cable tie this: To something securely? Is it really just a case of finding a couple of holes and ziptying it there so it never goes flying or starts dangling around, more or less? Then run a 1/8 BSP Female to [hose adapter of choice?/AN?] and then the opposing fitting at the bush-into-oil-block end? being the hose-into-realistically likely a 1/8 BSPT male) Is this going to provide any real benefit over using a stainless/steel 1/4 to 1/8 BSPT reducing bush? I am making the assumption the OEM sender is BSPT not BSPP/BSP
    • I fashioned a ramp out of a couple of pieces of 140x35 lumber, to get the bumper up slightly, and then one of these is what I use
    • I wouldn't worry about dissimilar metal corrosion, should you just buy/make a steel replacement. There will be thread tape and sealant compound between the metals. The few little spots where they touch each other will be deep inside the joint, unable to get wet. And the alloy block is much much larger than a small steel fitting, so there is plenty of "sacrificial" capacity there. Any bush you put in there will be dissimilar anyway. Either steel or brass. Maybe stainless. All of them are different to the other parts in the chain. But what I said above still applies.
