Just an immature observation from me, but sometimes I have trouble getting past the emotional side of this thought: Cameras govern/enforce restrictions placed on us because we don't trust ourselves...and we pay people using our money...to use our money...to do this to us. Clever thing this government business :ninja:

This is gonna suck. The way things are going with noise laws and such, we're going to have to ride bicycles everywhere... and even then they'll try and find something to complain about and waste money on enforcing :P

Yeah, but then they will be cracking down on spokie dokies and moon wheels... at least on bikes the revenue could come from under 18's as well :ninja:

There's to many variances with this how do they count for wind, echo off a near by fence, building that happening near by, bass coming from a near by house party a dog sitting near by and farting.

Not only just that when it's muggy sound doesn't travel as far but when it's a clear day with wind traveling in the direction of the unit sound will travel further and how will they deal with dirt build up.

This has just got scam all over it

Sounds like your expecting them to be honest with these tests, this is the same as the road side db tests they do, you know, the ones that are meant to be done in a controlled enviroment but are done with traffic 5 feet away and the probe right in the exhaust, let's not forget that this is a police state.

Speed red light and noise cameras??? You lot dont half have it easy trust me!!!!!

Try traffic wardens that actually give you a parking ticket for being stuck in a traffic jam yes thats right stuck in a traffic jam!!!!

Police that will fine you for wipping your nose at the wheel and put points on your licence

A government that has just passed a law that means that even if you are found innocent in a court of law you CAN NOT reclaim ANY costs, forcing you to take an easy option and pleed guilty. Unless you are prepaired to lose a lot of money.

Oh its also an offensence to move an egg if told not to buy a person of authority yes this is true an egg and this cost tax payers almost 1million pounds to pass through this legislation

Having to pay road tax every 6 moths or year average $400 as well as an mot every year average $100 just for the test and there sure as hell going to find something wrong so you can add in cost of repair and insurance that also has a Government tax added to ALL policies average $1000

Having esculator tax on fuel meaning the price goes up every 6months 2p per lt above the rate of inflation or something like this. The current price per lt is $2.10 equivalant over 75% of that is tax

coppers that fine you for having incorrect size number plates when they them self dont actually no the law on imports and you would be silly to argue it even if you are innocent remember you carnt claim any costs back even if you are innocent.

Dvla standards that contradict the law so most mots are not worth the paper there written on

Your car can be impounded and/or crushed under section 56 if it is seen by the copper to be being coursing alarm harrasment and or distress. One guy had his car impounded because he was stopped twice because he was lost this caused alarm to the police officers.

Thats just for starters dont get me started on black spot cameras that actually course accidents and average speed cameras that dont work if you change lanes yet will flash you if stuck in a traffic jam doing an average speed of 2mph yes 2mph

so yeah i think you have it easy

Tuff one that

Best thing you can do imo is to out all the pc bollox and do gooders as they will only drag you down to your knees

This appears to be one of the biggest problems in the UK damn do gooders that think a mass murderer has human rights!!! Wrong they forfitted them as soon as they committed the crime.

And pass law after law that make it harder to get rid of them once there in and only protect the minority not the majority

Common sence gets my vote maybe a party should be set up along these lines??? Dont no how hard or easy it is to do that here but sorry to keep refeering back to it but in the UK we have almost been conditioned to do 12hrs a day 6 days a week to servive that means theres only one day left and whos going to want to set up a party too apose the opposition on there day off.... no one!!!! Hence why I think there will be a split government this election back home cos nobody has the energy and carnt be arsed

one key thing i get quite annoyed about is many people moan about it on the internet send a few jokes about it in emails and text your friends about it but dont actually do anything about it. What message dose that give out.

Actively stand up and do something about it and vote out your local pm if he or the party are being a plonkers (If thats how it works here) and tell him there being plonkers and the only way to get your vote back is to listen to what you want (hard because everyone whats differant things) although like i said i would think a party based on common sence would a good starting point.

Of course these are my views based on the UK i have no idea how it works here but from what ive seen so far id be fighting tooth and nail to stop it falling in to down ward spiral of doom and gloom that Britain has become.

TRUCKERS whose noisy rigs disturb the peace will be snapped by new noise cameras and risk having their registrations suspended.

The Victorian Government has announced the noise camera system to monitor heavy vehicles in a bid to reduce excessive truck noise on the state's roads.

    • Hi, is the HKS  Tower Bar still available ? negotiable ? 🤔
    • From there, it is really just test and assemble. Plug the adapter cables from the unit into the back of the screen, then the other side to the car harness. Don't forget all the other plugs too! Run the cables behind the unit and screw it back into place (4 screws) and you should now have 3 cables to run from the top screen to the android unit. I ran them along the DS of the other AV units in the gap between their backets and the console, and used some corrugated tubing on the sharp edges of the bracket so the wires were safe. Plug the centre console and lower screen in temporarily and turn the car to ACC, the AV should fire up as normal. Hold the back button for 3 sec and Android should appear on the top screen. You need to set the input to Aux for audio (more on that later). I put the unit under the AC duct in the centre console, with the wifi antenna on top of the AC duct near the shifter, the bluetooth antenna on the AC duct under the centre console The GPS unit on top of the DS to AC duct; they all seem to work OK there are are out of the way. Neat cable routing is a pain. For the drive recorder I mounted it near the rear view mirror and run the cable in the headlining, across the a pillar and then down the inside of the a pillar seal to the DS lower dash. From there it goes across and to one USB input for the unit. The second USB input is attached to the ECUtec OBD dongle and the 3rd goes to the USB bulkhead connected I added in the centre console. This is how the centre console looks "tidied" up Note I didn't install the provided speaker, didn't use the 2.5mm IPod in line or the piggyback loom for the Ipod or change any DIP switches; they seem to only be required if you need to use the Ipod input rather than the AUX input. That's it, install done, I'll follow up with a separate post on how the unit works, but in summary it retains all factory functions and inputs (so I still use my phone to the car for calls), reverse still works like factory etc.
    • Place the new daughterboard in the case and mount it using the 3 small black rivets provided, and reconnect the 3 factory ribbon cables to the new board Then, use the 3 piggyback cables from the daughterboard into the factory board on top (there are stand offs in the case to keep them apart. and remember to reconnect the antenna and rear cover fan wires. 1 screw to hold the motherboard in place. Before closing the case, make a hole in the sticker covering a hole in the case and run the cable for the android unit into the plug there. The video forgot this step, so did I, so will you probably. Then redo the 4 screws on back, 2 each top and bottom, 3 each side and put the 2 brackets back on.....all ready to go and not that tricky really.
    • Onto the android unit. You need to remove the top screen because there is a daughterboard to put inside the case. Each side vent pops out from clips; start at the bottom and carefully remove upwards (use a trim remover tool to avoid breaking anything). Then the lower screen and controls come out, 4 screws, a couple of clips (including 3 flimsy ones at the top) and 3 plugs on the rear. Then the upper screen, 4 screws and a bunch of plugs and she is out. From there, remove the mounting brackets (2 screws each), 4 screws on the rear, 2 screws top and bottom and 3 screws holding in the small plates on each side. When you remove the back cover (tight fit), watch out for the power cable for the fan, I removed it so I could put the back aside. The mainboard is held in by 1 screw in the middle, 1 aerial at the top and 3 ribbon cables. If you've ever done any laptop stuff the ribbon cables are OK to work with, just pop up the retainer and they slide out. If you are not familiar just grab a 12 year old from an iphone factory, they will know how it works The case should now look like this:
    • Switching the console was tricky. First there were 6 screws to remove, and also the little adapter loom and its screws had to come out. Also don't forget to remove the 2 screws holding the central locking receiver. Then there are 4 clips on either side....these were very tight in this case and needed careful persuading with a long flat screw driver....some force required but not enough to break them...this was probably the fiddliest part of the whole job. In my case I needed both the wiring loom and the central locking receiver module to swap across to the new one. That was it for the console, so "assembly is the reverse of disassembly"
