Has to make a comment about everyone's wheels.

Have you ever stopped to think...maybe the owner likes them?

+1

but it all comes down to the primary use of the car.

If its just being driven as a daily, 200kw-300kw wont do much good in peak hour traffic. Hence they spend money on cosmetics.

or you can spend it on both :P still need suspension tho. Apparently when I launch my sideskirt almost touches the ground and my rim gets hidden under my guards haha

so... the owner has aids, and not the wheel?

sure you can do both but its the way they start which defines the primary use of the car. If you were serious on track work lets say, you would spend money first on proper suspension setup (more than coil overs) than the way the car looks. Rb ryan mentioned preference on functionality as he has a diff view on the primary use for his car. Hella flush may look nice but the sacrifises are not worth it. This is an opinion after all so each to their own.

not really... just stating my opinion.... heaps of people on 86dc rag on my ksev's wheels if it makes you feel any better :P

Yea I'm with you on that hellaflush is for show. Chuck the car on the track with 10 inch wide rims running 215's with massive camber n see how How it handles.

I'd say it'd handle better than a car with 7" wide wheels on a narrower wheelbase, a higher centre of gravity, tyres running at a lower tyre pressure with a lot of flex in the sidewall, and no camber or toe adjustments reuslting in poor cornering.

but apparently everyone in melbourne drives their skylines ready to jump on the track at the drop of a pin.

you'll find most guys who are concerned with stance and fitment pay more attention to suspension settings, so if they go on a track will change to better wheels and most definitely a realignment/readjustment of suspension.

that's what we do anyways, every single time we go to a track event, properly using a laser assisted alignment rack. how often do you "omg hellaflush is so shit on a track" arsemonkeys check your suspension?

you may find a lot of sau guys are intrested in mega kits with rims etc

just basic looks are ok, they seem to be more keen on increasing power and acceleration

nothing wrong with that, im not overlly a fan of all show and no go but your go needs to be relevent to your intended purpose ie, for me i dont need 300rwkw doest mean ill pay out on ppl with that, i prefer a complete package, looks + required amount of go.

plus i just dont like when people post bs about stretched tyres and blah blah

oh and not to mention standard r33's would be one of the ugliest cars nissan created

maybe I should stick some cards in my rear rims to see if I qualify as being 'hellaflush'.

BTW, spacers: aids or acceptable? I know quite a few people who run them, my front rims sit in a little far (probably +35 not +22 like the rears), and people keep telling me to get them, but I always thought they were dangerous and for the gays.

you need hubcentrics there ok i dont use them, i had them and didnt feel the same but heaps off ppl use them no problems so no they arent aids best advice is to get the right size/offset from the outset.

I got spacers in the rear.

It came with the car from Japan.

Save you from buying a staggerd set of wheels.

    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
    • I also used NP   That’s were it’s seems to be the best place to fit it? All schematic shows also that it’s should be referenced from the turbo housing. But idk, I do see high hp cars without any connection or anything to their turbos, so I really don’t know how they connect their things
    • I do have loctite 243 and 246 and a few more models. I could drill it now in place and make new threads for m12 and order an4 - m12 coupling and fit that to the turbo. Run a braided hose to the EBC which I could get a an4 to 1/8npt
    • So M12 and sealant should be fine?    NPT ” because that’s what I had and what I could get atm.
    • Wouldn’t touch par if they gave it to me. You need to ask how much power you’re looking to make and then add about 50% to it because that’s what you’ll end up making  The factory box says no more at about 350kw or so, the upgraded synchro boxes won’t handle much over 500kw for long and at that point you’re looking at an auto or dog engagement manual,  once you’ve gone dog engagement you may as well go sequential, they cost a little bit more but it’s worth it  also while you’re at it you should upgrade the transfer case with 10 friction plates
