Getting the SLR ready, then going to head down to Motorvation Melbourne. Hopefully should be good, the weather is awesome outside!

Gotta wait for my stupid iPhone to restore though, it froze on the home page.

12hrs x 7 days... So ye. Not a lot other than sleep-work-home ---repeat

My base is crappy though, i make the serious cash via OT/oncall/loadings/allowances etc etc. I virtually make my yearly wage, and then the same again with everything stacked on top.

haha, well i don't, so hence i don't mind doing the extra hours.

Also stops me from hitting the piss hard friday/sat nights etc and burning through $300. If i can be @ work earning double that... why not :)

Lol it's good to have allthat money. But what's the point when you really have 0 time to enjoy spending it

annual leave. duh.

off to doncaster TGI Fridays then to st kilda beach. laterssss.

when i say HTPC i mean a great kick arse pc with HQ sound card dual HD TV tuners and about 6tb of storage in a antec case that has all the front fascia volume knobs and remote control like this

This is what i've got in mind at the moment

Asus Xonar Essence STX PCI-E Sound Card

Intel Core i5 750

Gigabyte GA-P55-UD3

G.Skill ECO F3-12800CL7D-4GBECO (2x2GB) DDR3

Then i'm waiting for 2tb hdd to drop in price an i will be using my GTX260 as the gfx (so i can play some games on the TV)

and of course the normal wireless keyboard and mouse

Why don't you just get a new ATI card and let it do the Audio (to your amp) and the video same time?

I can take about 3 months of pain, for some good financial gain each year.

I take a few holidays/weekends off to Syd etc etc. Off to Thailand again in a few months

So it certainly does get spent and enjoyed... of course a bit for the ole piggy bank as well :)

    • Possibly avoid using a Cometic one unless the deck/head surface are perfectly flat. I did have a look just then and forgiving gaskets such as Tomei or Nitto don't exist for the FJ20, however the Bar-Tek or Kameari ones look good and might do the trick.
    • Because pipe threads for pipe things. M threads for bolt things. Throw some teflon sealant onto it and dust your hands off knowing you did the right thing, instead of going twice around the block to achieve a result using the wrong things. Of course, all of these solutions are ignoring the fact that the minimum thread pitch we're talking about here is 1.25mm, with the 1/4" in NPT or BPS being out around 1.4mm. You will need to know that the boss you're tapping has enough thickness for at least a few threads. That's one of the reasons that 1/8" is commonly used - because the pitch is <1mm. And why would you look to use 1/4" NPT in a BSP country anyway? Ugh.
    • Just throwing around ideas, does it need to be in the compressor cover? Why not the hot side piping?
    • 1/8NPT drill size = 8.7mm. Since the hole got messed up by me, it’s probably around 9mm.    So 1/4” NPT would be next step. A drill size of around 11mm would be preferred there which is not way of my M12 (drill 10.5mm and tap M12 threads)
