So I failed the EPA lol. Told me that I should have red rb20 injectors fitted :D they know their colours. Passed co2 emissions with the sards and standard exhaust was 89db lol.

Told me to throw on some red injectors and will sign it off. As I was walking back to the mechanic, a hwy patrol pulled out of the mechanic. I hope he didn't have a poke around lol. An unmarked was there getting a service, so hope he had the same lol

don't think I can be stuffed putting the sards back in after this...

turned it on yesterday(just to see if it would get cold(forgot to test it out before i bought the car) and yeah, didnt get cold

also, got mum to do the transfers for me, so she decided to "fill it up" for me, nice of my mum to fill it up and all... on 91....

kill it with fire! Got yourself some detonation issues there my friend lawls.

tyre sies? thinkin 225/45/17 and 245/40/18 or 235/45/17 and 255/40/18

You may need to pump your guards even further out with those tyre sizes. I ended up going with 215/45/17 and 235/40/18 but thats on a 9.5 and 10.5.

lol kris said baby it, so i am till the fuel finishes.

noob q- can i top it up with 98 when the fuel gets low?

yup, you could also buy some octane booster from repco etc, and put that into your tank. Wont bring it up to 98, but it may be better than 91

my current ku36's won't be dead when the xd9's arrive so I'll be using them on the back... They are 235/40

I'll prob go 225/45 on the 17's

guards will definately have to be worked on the rears... But just the insides... I never rolled that bump out that sits above the tyre on the inside.

Outsides should be fine

Today I took my R for a drive for first time since Sunday...

And I didn't enjoy the drive much, do I have a problem if I don't enjoy 302rwkw GTR?

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
