Where do we apply for this job? How much experience is required? I have a few friends fresh out of uni that may be keen!

no freshers unfortunately. i had to fire a fresher web designer cos I had to spend too much time bringing him up to speed and was making way too many rookie mistakes.

nothing you learn at uni is useful when it comes to programming jobs. experience is king.

I went there with my (hot) ex and her (hot) friend on a Saturday night. Bouncers didn't want a bar of it. Since then i boycotted the place. TFU is infinity times better anyway :)

I went with 5 pretty attractive women on a Saturday night...bouncer goes you, you, you and you can come in, but not you (pointing at me)

I go yeah, they're really gonna come in without me f**k head, and went to wahwah instead :)

how was wah wah dez?

theres also some cocky ass dude at cq, think he's a manager or something. that flamin mongrel just ruins it sometimes

agreed.

lolfag

:)

"admins gonna f**k with your shit"

yes i hate when they do that....why buy a sports car when you want bling bling...might as well spend money on a stato (a bit of a pimp car  i think) and put those heavy wheels on them...

^^ Yeah, that's it.

you need to do an interview to get into uni?

what are you "gifted"?

Most Design Courses, they want to interview you to see if you have the "Design Mentality" to be selected to do a design course.

It's a load of pretentious wank (the interview process) and some ppl come out of it thinking they have tickets on themselves...

Then again, you get ppl who do the course and come out fine.

Also the interview is a chance to sell / show yourself off to say how good you are and uni will give you the chance to show case your work and give you praise.

Once finished, hoping to find a job at a design firm.

I'd did tafe then uni in design courses, you learn so much more in tafe, where as uni, it's all about reading the text book and work it out yourself instead of hands on teaching.

unless u wana full feee pay bet they dont interview shit then.

International Students.

They play about $10,000 as I recall from 1 of them who I did a course with.

Can't fail you either cuz you pay so much

    • Impossible to remove the housing while turbo is installed on the manifold on the engine. So I have to do it anyways. I plugged it so there will not be any debris in there. Will vacuum aswell
    • would a r34 gtr hood line up with gt/gtt stock fenders? after latch, front bumper and hinges are swapped for gtr ones? or would the fenders be too low or high in relation to the hood surface? ( I believe seeing somewhere that gtr front fenders use some type of riser for the sides, but do not know how that relates to stock gt/gtt fenders.)
    • You just need to remove the compressor housing, not the entire turbo. I would not be drilling and tapping anything with the housing still on anyways.
    • So, I put my boat on a boat. First of all, I'm going to come out and say it. Why is Tasmania not considered a holy goal, an apex that all road-legal modified cars go to, to experience? This place is an absolute wonderland of titanic proportions. If people are already getting club runs for once in a lifetime 30 person cruises to Tassy then I've never seemed to see it. It is like someone replaced the entire place with an idyllic wonderland for cars, and all of the people living there with paid actors who are kind, humble, and friendly. Dear god. After doing a lap of almost all of the place I've found that it's a great way to find out all of the little things that the car isn't doing quite right and a great way to figure it all out. All in all, I drove for 4 hours a day for a week and nothing broke. I didn't even need to open the engine bay. This is by all means a great success, but it has left me with a list of things to potentially address. I also now have a 3D printed wheel fitment tool which annoyingly hasn't got any threads in it to actually assemble it. I might be able to tape it together to check the sizing I actually want to use, but it'll likely involving pulling the shocks out to properly measure travel at least at the front, and probably raise the car while I'm at it, at least in the rear. I scraped on quite a few things and I'm not sure how else to go about it. I was taking anything with a bump at what felt like 89 degree angles. And address those 10 other tasks. And wash the car. God damn it is dirty. And somehow, the weather was perfect the entire time - And because I was on the top of Mt Wellington it turns out it was very much about to freeze up there. I did something I typically never do and took some photos up there in what must have been -10 and the foggy felt like suspended ice, rather than mere fog. If you own a car in Australia, you owe it to yourself to do it.
    • Damn that was hilarious, and a bit embarrassing for skylines in general 😂 vintage car life ey. That R33 really stomped. Pretty entertaining stuff
