your holden breaks down? bad luck.

your luxury car breaks down they look after you really well. (talking new car <5 years.) anything older than that aint worth having furreal.

they also charge you just as well.

holden breaks down? walk into the nearest servo/repco/supercheap/bunnings and buy the spare parts.

audi's and beemer's are the falcons and commodores of europe, furreals. VW's are the toyotas (they sell a shitload, and are just simple, easy to use, mechanically resilient cars). Anyone who think's they're luxury is delusional and needs to get their head checked. It may work on your average bogan who's never needed to apply for a passport cos he reckons Albury is going too far away, but seriously, get yourself some perspective.

Same goes for any assmonkey that thinks Lexus is value for money. The Toyota Altezza was half the price and twice as feature rich as the IS200 or IS300, just because globalisation wasn't as prelevant back in the day, doesn't mean it still has to be right now. Stop swinging on history and archaic thinking's nuts, and wake up to the fact that we live in a global economy that drives a global playing field. The more you pillocks let dealers convince you that something is worth paying a premium for because it is a "luxury item" the further you propagate the myth.

Next time you meet a euro wanker, remind em that they're driving germany's falcon. Meet some middle management knobjugger that drives a Lexus 4WD? Ask him how his glorified landcruiser does offroad.

Fuck off with your "luxury" bullshit. You bunch of cockjockeys also probably reply to Nigerian princes and buy speakers out of the back of white vans.

Owning an Audi or Beemer is more an excuse for some prat stuck in middle management to ramble on about how much more affluent he is that the next guy. Wanna prove you can dabble in real luxury? Have a garage that resembles a member of arab royalty's. Hell, even an Aussie mine owner's garage will do. Real affluent people buy an Audi or a Beemer cos they can afford it and its quality is higher than what passes off as acceptable in Australia, then they never speak of the fact ever again, to them it's just another car. The guys who bleat on about it are usually the ones trying to prove to the world that they are worth something.

if all that shit was true you would have bought a hyundai excel, cos you know its no worse than a vw, and it would have been cheaper right? or why buy work's rims why not get some bob janes its same shit right? :whistling:

man they dont charge you a thing, lexus encore is the bomb. jus sayin. check it out sometime you can afford it.

I equate owning a golf to owning a corolla. Buying a Seat would be the same as an Excel. If bob jane made wheels that looked as nice and had the same features I'd be rockin it non stop. They don't.

lol alex, I actually built lexus' website back in 2007, and as part of my package my old man now rocks complimentary Encore for the next 3 (and has had for the past two) years on his GS 430. Come at me bro.

i dont need to you would know what is included then and that there aint no charge if you break down.

COME AT ME BRO!!!!!!

nah dont that shit is ghey, but you get my point.

PS. encore should be 5 years, they jibbered you

PS. encore should be 5 years, they jibbered you

probably why they gave us 5 years free. I just use it for the airport services and free gig tickets.

Although I've always wanted to test out that 100k's breakdown offer they have. Not that we've ever had to use it. I think the only time my old man had a legit reason to call em was coz he left his lights on and the battery ran flat.

reading fail haha.. my bad. bed time.

yeh they offer the service cos they know the likely hood of kents needing it is so slim.

like if u break down they come out fix your car, or bring you a replacement car, pay for you accomodation if you XX kms from home, get your clothes dry cleaned etc. still a nice touch.

oh and all you mo fockers that havent been to a bmw/lexus/merc/audi etc dealership do yourself a favour. they seem to have a strict policy of only hiring glamours, having said that i doubt rocking up in your skyline will win many brownie points

At work on break...

The GTR is getting new fuel pump later today as stock is dying.

Now I gotta find something to amuse myself between 2am to 9am and not sure if I'd feel sleepy.

Finally offloaded my 180 shell tonight, meaning I no longer have that car anymore (even though it never moved in 2.5 years lol)

So yeah, really want to get another fun car again...

Buy my 32 gtr?

Yeah maybe something along those lines. NFI at the moment though. Really need to test drive a few different cars to gauge an opinion.

But yeah, it needs to have at least cruise control, and I would like leather.

    • It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about. Reliability of everything in a 34 drops MASSIVELY above the 300kw mark. Keeping everything going great at beyond that value will cost ten times the $. Clutches become shit, gearboxes (and engines/bottom ends) become consumable, traction becomes crap. The good news is looking legalish/actually being legal is slighly under the 300kw mark. I would make the assumption you want to ditch the stock plenum too and want to go a front facing unit of some description due to the cross flow. Do the bends on a return flow hurt? Not really. A couple of bends do make a difference but not nearly as much in a forced induction situation. Add 1psi of boost to overcome it. Nobody has ever gone and done a track session monitoring IAT then done a different session on a different intercooler and monitored IAT to see the difference here. All of the benefits here are likely in the "My engine is a forged consumable that I drive once a year because it needs a rebuild every year which takes 9 months of the year to complete" territory. It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about with this car.
    • By "reverse flow", do you mean "return flow"? Being the IC having a return pipe back behind the bumper reo, or similar? If so... I am currently making ~250 rwkW on a Neo at ~17-18 psi. With a return flow. There's nothing to indicate that it is costing me a lot of power at this level, and I would be surprised if I could not push it harder. True, I have not measured pressure drop across it or IAT changes, but the car does not seem upset about it in any way. I won't be bothering to look into it unless it starts giving trouble or doesn't respond to boost increases when I next put it on the dyno. FWIW, it was tuned with the boost controller off, so achieving ~15-16 psi on the wastegate spring alone, and it is noticeably quicker with the boost controller on and yielding a couple of extra pounds. Hence why I think it is doing OK. So, no, I would not arbitrarily say that return flows are restrictive. Yes, they are certainly restrictive if you're aiming for higher power levels. But I also think that the happy place for a street car is <300 rwkW anyway, so I'm not going to be aiming for power levels that would require me to change the inlet pipework. My car looks very stock, even though everything is different. The turbo and inlet pipes all look stock and run in the stock locations, The airbox looks stock (apart from the inlet being opened up). The turbo looks stock, because it's in the stock location, is the stock housings and can't really be seen anyway. It makes enough power to be good to drive, but won't raise eyebrows if I ever f**k up enough for the cops to lift the bonnet.
    • There is a guy who said he can weld me piping without having to cut chassis, maybe I do that ? Or do I just go reverse flow but isn’t reverse flow very limited once again?
    • I haven’t yet cut the chassis, maybe I switch to a reverse flow. I’ve got the Intercooler mounted as I already had it but not cut yet. Might have to speak to an engineer
    • Yes that’s another issue, I always have a front mount, plus will be turbo plus intake will big hasstle. I’ve been told if it looks stock they’re fine with it by a couple others who have done it ahahaha.    I know @Kinkstaah said the stock gtt airbox is limiting but I might just have to do that to avoid a defect so it atleast looks legit. Or an enclosed pod so it’s hidden away and feed air from the snorkel and below Intercooler holes like kinstaah mentioned. Hmm what to do
