Grant, M3 is a larger money pit than R and doesn't have anywhere near the go.

Chris with the Red M has basically replaced every bush and ball joint as they are f*ked. All the sensors possible

in the engine bay. Many seals etc etc. Sad story, great car though.

Also what is with the poofy awd again?

John, thanks for scaring me away from the M3.

About the 'poofy awd' thing, I've got brain damage, the one that make me want a 33R again. Not sure how to fix it.

I had a plan years ago to buy a cheap little laser as a daily when I had my 33.....was gonna paint the whole thing like lime green with spray cans, black bonnet and wheels (with spray cans...)...never did get around to it though

it's only worth if if you spray the tires too.

probably for the best dezz.

hows ya house going?

lol yeah, not a wise idea to make your daily stick out more than the weekender.. house should be done in under 2 months...gotta call the site manager and let him know I'm not happy though, went in there the other day and there's some water damage to the plaster etc...

white walls maybe

only get another 33gtr if your NOT going to complain wasteland cant handle mch more of it.

yeh dont stress to much dezz you'll get to do your final inspection and list all the defects anyway they are always aweful until you do that inspection i just came frmo a couple that are at that stage now my god they are practically gonna repaint he whole house! haha

Me, the same and got a deposit for the 32R yesterday so buyer is pretty keen on grabbing it (inspection took 15-20 minutes).

Now, shopping for another Skyline, hopefully buying a Midnight Purple 33R, but my younger brother is hassling me into buying a M3.

I know who bought your car.

you get another 33R.

That's the plan

only get another 33gtr if your NOT going to complain wasteland cant handle mch more of it.

People in wasteland isn't that tough enough to handle my bitching?

Wow.

If you get a 33 GTR and don't like it Grant I will swap you for my gts-t

We'll see.

Lol, he'll only complain after stacking it. So it'll be quiet for awhile.

Hopefully I don't go crashing into barriers.

I know who bought your car.

Um, should I be worried?

by getting a gtst...

rekin - how'd ya auction go on the weekend passed in?

real estate agent said 270 - 300. Ended up going for $332.5

Decided to change my view and look for 2 bedroom appartments. Smaller deposit and no issues with the 50sq metre loan rule

btw; do you know any website which lists recent auction sale prices? Interested in chasing up some auctions i missed out on.

Thanks!

Let me know if you need any help

house wise no provided your not in violation of local plannning and or body corporate.

dunno what ya neighbours will think..

Unless the house is covered by a Heritage Overlay, you can essentially paint it whatever you like.

When I was working in the industry, I once got a few phone calls from a resident who was complaining that their neighbour had painted his house fluoro pink. Turned out to be a neighbourhood fued escalating, and because the caller sounded like such a bitch, I took great satisfaction in telling her that there was nothing I could do about it : )

Sending my iphone 4 back to vodafone because i've gotten out of my contract and they're shit.

Want to take a ipad or something overseas so I can access wifi and keep in touch with home. Anybody know of any good tablets (preferably other than ipad) that I should look into buying?

Prefer cheaper so that if it gets stolen / broken i will only give 0.5% of a f**k.

Yeah I know, just that I'm tempted to say something now so that it doesn't delay the finish date more than it needs to...re-painting is easy enough, but re-plastering etc is a bit more work... not 100% happy with the tiling in some spots either, doubt they'd re-do that though :S

    • That is way more science than even I would use. I just eyeball it, not even accounting for the non-verticality of the tape measure when held on the lip and the centre at the same time. +/- 2mm is good enough for the girls I go out with.
    • So, before putting them in I need to understand the stock ride height. This is how I measured it: First, check the diameter of the wheel's centre cap, it was 52mm. Then put a piece of masking tape approximately across the centre and measure 27mm (half) from at least 3 sides to get a reasonable idea of the centre of the wheel cap. Mark that with a horizontal line as one measuring point. Then, directly above the wheel on the guard, put another piece of masking tape in approximately the centre. Use a string line to find out the point on the guard above the centre of the wheel cap and mark that. Then it is simple, just a tape measure to check the distance from centre of the wheel to the centre of the guard. Final results where  LF: 381mm RF: 379mm LR: 401mm RR: 400mm Pretty even considering they are 120,000klm old factory springs, lets call that 380 front and 400 rear.
    • So....knowing that I have a problem with power steering temps on track and another Wakefield day booked in next Friday, I've done the obvious thing They are very reasonably priced at $1650, considering they are a big monotube shock, double height adjustable (don't have to change pre-load to change ride height), one way adjustable damping and standard sized and customisable springs if you want something other than what comes with them. They come with 9kg/mm front and 4.5kg/mm front and I went with that as a starting point because I'll add adjustable sway bars too https://justjap.com/products/bc-racing-coilover-kit-ds-ds-infiniti-q50-v37-14-current#description Unfortunately they didn't come with rear strut tops so I've re-used the factory ones which was a bit of a pain. Also, the adjuster for the rear shock will be an absolute nightmare to get at, and while there are extensions in the kit I can't see any way you can actually attach or use them
    • I also had 2 bulbs blow at once, years ago in the stagea. made for a fun drive home. The issue was the voltage regulator had failed in the alternator and it was giving 15+ volts. Really, I was lucky all that was fried were the headlight bulbs. So, I'd suggest you check the voltage across your battery terminals with the car running and warmed up. Yes, you will need a multimeter to do so, sorry.
    • Good work to think to check that, and thanks for coming back to post up the outcome.
