how do they go for comfort kris?

drove a evo 7 with bc a few weeks ago

damper was set down and fark me it was soft, like driving a normal car (especially compared to the stiff standard shocks of my car)

very nice ride though and can get them really stiff if you want

sweet! thanks very much guys!

i tried the method that leigh suggested and worked a treat - took a few little nicks out of the plastic and you can see how they are a lighter more grey colour than the black rubber/plastic

but still looks much nicer without the weathersheild!

so ill try one of those tomorrow - all avaliable from autobarn im guessing?

yeah autobarn.

You apply the liquid onto the rubber. Let it rest for a minute or so. Then buff it into the rubber. Crucial to let it rest for a minute or so, get best results that way. It does create streaks on windows/paint work. Can be removed wth Mothers Showtime

Non-original electronic chips or computers, whether

fitted as a direct replacement or in a ‘piggy-back’

configuration, are not permitted to be used in an

engine management system unless it can be

demonstrated that their installation and use allows

the vehicle to meet the appropriate ADR. They must

also be sealed or otherwise constructed so as not to

be reprogrammable.

So when going to an EPA inspection, arent you demonstrating that it meets/exceeds emission requirements and achieving ADR? It doesnt say that it must be ADR certified, just that it can meet it? Having Nistune would mean it is sealed and cant be reprogrammed without a license. Sounds plausable?

Also scanning over the EPA doc;

http://epanote2.epa.vic.gov.au/EPA/Publica...6;FILE/1031.pdf

Only mention of aftermarket turbo is below:

Note: aftermarket turbocharging kits that

include intercoolers that have been type

tested (ADR certified) for the model vehicle

are permitted. Documentary proof must be

retained to substantiate this.

What if it isnt a turbocharge kit incl intercooler? Being a 20yr old car, obviously brand new factory replacements can be argued as not available and hence an aftermarket replacement has to be fitted?

Also:

Alternative, replacement or aftermarket EFI systems

are not permitted unless ADR certified for that

particular vehicle make and model.

Extra or larger fuel injectors are not permitted.

This i believe is referring to fitting an aftermarket EFI system onto a carby engine.

There is no mention of aftermarket injectors not allowed only mention of larger/extra injectors.

So this means that bosch/denso equivelent injectors can be fitted so long as they arent larger. How can EPA check the size of the injectors anyways?

hmmmmmmmmmm

Any modification is permitted provided that it can be

shown, by way of test1 or engineering reason, to

show that the modification would not be expected to

cause an increase in emissions beyond a similar,

unmodified vehicle.

1 Test procedures used for demonstrating compliance

must be to the ADR applicable to the vehicle model. A

simple exhaust emission test at idle, steady speeds or

using an IM240 procedure is not acceptable.

hmm bummer

hey leigh, ive got a question for you mate. with your new coilovers how do you go with with adjusting the stiffness of it. is it done from the top of the coilover? and if so does it get annoying having to remove the back seats to adjust it? thats the only thing thats going to piss me off with mine i think.

^^ thats what i ordered. which model u get?

the BR series (gold) pretty much from my research in general just made from better products then the other slightly cheaper one I think.

I got suspension place to set up for street / track every 3 months and they did a good job i think, its really nice to drive now as a daily I do about 70km so suspension stiffness on my old Teins was a real back breaker, now it feels so much better I cant describe it you don't feel every little paint strip on the roads lol and yet when you turn sharp into or hard into something it still responsive and seems to handle itself.

Yo yo, I havn't adjusted it at all cost me like 300 all up with a wheel alignment and height adjustment to lowest legal, they setup the stiffness on what you say I told them I will be using it mainly for street and a bit of track work so they did so quite well I think (traction tyres in rowville) so couldn't answer your question apart from recommending to get someone else to do it, because they gave me a sheet with camber % and all these different readings which I had NFI about, and even if I did how the hell would one get into that much detail in there own garage with a jack.

    • Oh, I forgot too, all the multimedia stuff captured and sold through things like people playing Pokemon Go. Pokemon Go specifically, can actually be traced all the way back to a CIA investment company too. So yep, they're watching everything. Not to mention the new stuff where they've worked out how to use WiFi signals to be able to map occupants inside of a building. That one would be something that I see being more used in public/government buildings, as you need to understand the signals when the room has no one in it first. It's not as easy as Hollywood would like you to think it is.

    • Lets keep this going , Spotted this very stock V35 in Penrith and also saw a nice R32 FLY past me on Castlereagh rd , sounded really good.
    • Great work! Give it a clean up with some Emery paper, and I'd run a thread die over the threads too to clean them up. It will make reinstall much easier, and also life easier for the next time it needs to come out.
    • I'm not a fan of high humidity, it's one reason I don't mind being further inland out Ipswich, except the last 3 odd years, the drought broke, and it won't stop raining, which is making the humidity nearly unbearable when the rains are in during summer! For me, my body hates the cold, once the cold sets into my body, I'm totally screwed. I end up with severe muscle spasm in my back/shoulder muscles, and it feels like someone is trying to tear the muscles out. I have no issues with it getting stupid hot, so long as the humidity goes away. So the last 3 years as above, have been woeful! Ha ha. However, June 1st, and I'm only just converting from shorts and a tee, to long pants and a t shirt. And that's mainly as it's a bit wet and miserable and I wanted to work on a car.
