they arent bolt ons lol Definitely not the ones Joe showed me thats for sure.

Those were my twins. . .I split the setup (twins/manifolds) and sold it. . .

Precision doesn't offer the rb26 specific turbine housings, you can purchase the 4828's without their hotside (-$100), but will have to buy the 707160-5 housings and throw them on the 4828's. . .as far as piping goes my plan was to fab up some hard pipes all the way. . .

Guys this tread is wary too long, maybe this needs to be closed and a new one opened as i know theres new precision turbos out so makes the start of the tread useless.

Anyways i currently have a td06 25g that puts out 320kw on 18psi full boost is around 4300rpm. I want a precision turbo equivalent but with more response as i feel the td06 is a bit laggy. Also on e85 i hope to get at least 360rwkw :DD so which precision would suit me ? I'm confused with all these numbers..

ALSO i want to low mount it for stealth

HKS 7071 :)

The two sizes relate to the "visible" size of each wheel, ie compressor inducer and turbine exducer. Puts things into perspective when you consider a PT6466 flows more than a T51R Kai, and even a FP Super94 HTA (aka, FP6768) is a fair bit smaller wheel wise while being capable of T51R SPL flow

Are you using compressor maps to compare flows and pressure ratios? .... :P

Haha I was wondering if I would be called on that :-P I'll eat my hat if someone can show an unmodified T51R Kai making more power than the highest power 6466 setups, but yeah I was perhaps making a tall call on the Super94 haha... In all fairness the T51R SPL probably has an outright edge, just there is a fair chance of 90pc of people who use them won't see ever make good use of it.

Highest ive seen with a T51R KAI on an RB26 was 603awkw at 30-32psi.

That's the one with the upgraded compressor that ran at JEM? But yeah, folks have gone over 600kw in Oz with 6466s - bigger numbers in the US but obviously dyno comparisons get a bit iffy :)

Aggroman - there are others that make that sound too :D But yeah, safe bet with a T51R.... it's one of the things that disappoints me with the Precisions, they all sound pretty run of the mill. Yeah, I let the sound influence my turbo (and other parts) choices :teehee:

    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
    • Nice car! I’m glad folks in the US have gotten past the FnF and are buying real cool cars like the 260RS I was with a bunch of mates in Portland about a year ago and spotted a green Stagea (just a regular 2.5T AWD) parked about 2 blocks away and they were like “a what?” So I made a bet with them for a round of beers and said “ok one of you run down there and tell me if the steering wheel is on the correct side” 5 mins later the American comes trudging back up the hill and goes “he’s right guys. Ok what beer do you want?”
    • Should replace OR drop the tank, give it's good clean. Might be worth replacing that entire fuel level/pump/cradle thing with this: https://frenchysperformancegarage.com/products/fpg-s13-180sx-r32gtst-single-pump-hanger-kit-billet-hat-6-v3-fpg-089?gQT=2
