it not that were having a go, if he want a gtr then fine but go do some driving couse and learn to drive the think, there is an art to driving a gtr, it not your nomal 4 wheel drive in fact it mostly 2 wheel drive if you no your facts on gtr you no what im talking about....

Chaos, i don't think my post was useless. Just wanted to thank him in my own way and ask a couple of questions about him.

He just turned himself into another black and white statistic which will be put down on paper for insurance co., authorities etc.

Mines, you didn't have insurance?! Why?

I'm sure you don't have to have insurance for insurance co's. to increase premiums after they hear/read incidents like this.

i neva wanted to see a thread like this, especially with a gtr...i hav to say as i always defend p platers(like me) driving hi-po cars if they are responsible. being 18 and driving the car i drive i always cop looks when my dads friends c wat car i drive

ok 1st i wanna say its good you are ok and u didnt hurt yourself or anyone else but i have 2 say this

DID YOU LEARN ANYTHING FROM THIS?

im sorry but if this is the second time u did it, it looks like NO!

Its got nothing 2 do with cars, speed, gtr or anything like that, i think it is pass that point. i think you need 2 learn about life and what happens when u do something WRONG.

I don't have a problem with you driving a gtr or a gt2 or anything like that, go ahead its good 2 see, u driving a car you like but the fact that you cant RESPECT THE CAR, or have any remours for what has happen now and in the past is just BS!

Im not tring 2 be a dickhead, i just do wanna see you kill yourself your life is just as important as anyone.

i cant really explain it that good but the botten line is

I HOPE 2 GOD, you dont kill anyone

It really is a sad thing when people overestimate their driving ability and smash up great cars.

Myself, I'd never touch a GT-R until I was off my P's for at least a couple of years; I'd never trust myself in it.

Unfortunately, it seems that this guy isn't going to learn from this, and will probably just end up in a slightly less powerful car, but then proceed to go faster in it and end up not only injuring himself, but someone else. F*ck, and if he is berating people for driving 'slow' GTSt's; then I'll ram a bus stop pole where the sun doesn't shine.

From the other thread..........................

Wow , fairly savage comments fellas

The guy has crashed his car and for that I feel sorry but glad he is still posting the story to tell.I know he only seems to post in the for sale but he is still part of this forum which strangely enough is actually like a family( which I like some more than others, same as a normal family).lol

For those who have bagged him I say to lighten up. What , you all have never sped or skidded the wheels around a corner??

If you can honestly say that then you should be driving a Lada or something equally as boring

As for fixing the car...

You all think that the cars you own are all Grade 4 , never been smashed , pristine one owner cars. HAAAHAAAHAAA.

Have a REAL close look and you might be surprised. A good cut and shut( and there is a few out there) is almost undetectable and surprisingly is actually stronger than factory because 90% of the time is fully seam welded and not just stitched ala. as in the factory.

Anyway, to Mines Datsun , you may have annoyed me with your numerous flogging stuff posts but I do feel for you with destroying a beautiful car

Cheers and commiserations

Ken

just becos u dont have insurance, doesnt mean insurance premiums's wont go up.

its all based on statistics. so, therefore at the age of 20 u just helped contribute to increase premium's for the younger drivers, skyline drivers, and gtr drivers.

good on ya mate

thank God that no one was at the bus stop.......otherwise you'd be doing time (and rightly so)

you admit to speeding in a GTR in a residential zone (busstop) while not being experienced. i think that says enough

enjoy the fully sic gemini.

it's good that you were not hurt

doesn't matter if you have 4 turbo's as long as its 125kW/tonne you're ok.

I'm also suprised (and maybe a little glad) that the power/weight ratio isn't policed too often.

Its illegal to drive a twin turbo car in victoria on your p-plates

shouldnt you be fined and  licence taken off , suprised the police havent done it yet

    • Maf is a question mark but TPS  I have set at 0.47, the fact that I’m getting proper voltage range out of it with the key on leads me to believe it’s functioning properly. I’m getting proper voltages on basically everything. I still need to look up voltage ranges for z32 maf and test that
    • Honestly no not at all, but it’s a very basic tune, it’s stock injectors q45 tps and z32 maf. Other than that it’s a completely stock base map. The file is from nistune and from my understanding if it was tune related I would be able to unplug maf and tps and it would still start even if it was a really shitty start. I have tried starting it with coolant temp, maf, and tps unplugged none of those 3 togethor or individually changes anything

    • What does it look like with highway driving? And yes, I had a similar thought as Duncan. It looks quite similar in my Stagea and I have made myself accept it as normal. Might have to look into it some day   Highway gets as low as 10l/100km on my end so I'm not as worried about it being a mechanical issue. More likely just the tune on the haltech.
    • While I was waiting for the new parts to come in for the charge pipe and radiator I decided to do some turbo modification. The drive pressure (exhaust backpressure) was a lot higher that I thought it should be. For 32lbs of boost drive was 55lbs. The turbine housing is a 1.10AR and my turbo builder has suggested to go to a 1.25AR. To test if a larger AR would do anything to reduce drive pressure AND not spend any money I decided to hog out the divider in my current housing. I removed it from the inlet and the whole way through the housing.  After reassembly and testing it doesn't look like this modification did anything for reducing drive pressure or requiring more fuel (making more power). Oh well, it was worth a shot. We'll get some data at the track if it makes it past the 60ft. I also machined a $7 shift knob off Amazon to fit my Stillway shifter since I didn't like the Stillway shift knob. Next on the list was the radiator replacement and fabrication of a new intercooler tube that had no silicon coupler. No pictures of this - I was short on time each night after work to get this done and didn't stop to take pictures.  Next was to get the clutch disks out and replaced. Previously when installing the dogbox I had ordered a set of the same sintered iron disks I had been running because I switched to the 26-spline input shaft. I thought it was odd that they didn't have any markings or brand name on them like all my old disks had but installed them anyway. At the track I could not get the clutch to lock up using my normal strategies. After two track nights I reached out to the clutch manufacturer and ask their thoughts. They said they had to switch the material out because they were having trouble getting the original material and that this new material would not take to being slipped very well.  So out with the first set of 26-spline disks and in with the correct material 26-spline disks. While I had the trans out I added an inspection/service hole. I've wanted one of these for a while. Now I can have a look at things and change the front cover shimming when needed (clutch wear). I hustled and got the clutch change done in a few hours on a Saturday. Hopped in the car and drove home. On the way home I did a 1-3 pull. When shifting from 2nd to 3rd the core plug in the back of the cylinder head popped out and dumped all the coolant. Thankfully I was only 30 seconds from home and coasted it there. Datalog showed nothing unusual and 2.5psi of coolant pressure. That plug has been in there since 1992 but I guess it worked its way out. Pulled the trans AGAIN and replaced the plug, JB welded it in, and made a brace. Also deleted the head drain I had added in during the bearing issue fiasco.  I am currently changing my boost control plumbing to make it cleaner. After that is done I'll make another attempt at getting past the 60.
