so admit i love my gts-t track shitter, it was epic fun to drive! grip well but love to go sliding so i had the best of both worlds (but was starting to find out how much cheaper grip racing is compare to drifting :) )

Kind of sad it ended so soon :)

was awesome fun even if i had like 1mm left on my front pads and didn't have a tune yet lol

lol i love watching my oil pressure gauge... goes like a yoyo

Nice work mate, looks like you're flying!!! Wouldn't call it a shitter, looks like a handfull to drive though.

In comparison look how boring my car looks on the track at Sandown.

Doesn't look (or sound) like it's going quick at all.. :D

Was fun trying to hunt down Snowman (blue 34) and Aaron (white 34 in front).

*Sigh* Them were the good old days..... :D

Ill get you to move it out to Racepace once its closer. Always good to have someone sympathetic to skylines loading it on and off trucks!

Man you're not thinking of selling up though - you got the giant alcons!!

No probs mate...

Giant Alcons haven't had a run yet, but they are noisey on the street.... :D

So what is the quickets Markov or JFK ever went on semi slicks at Sandown? hehehe, i cant wait to see the footage of The Flash!

I think Markov has dipped into the 15's but I know JFK has done a 1:16.2.

Adam has just smashed the fastest RWD Skyline time today (which coincidentally was his previous fastest). Also there's only three GTR's that have seen that time aswell (that I know of).

Good to see all the R&D in the last few months has paid off.

Now where are those VIDS!!!!

Selling up Jack? Wow, that will be an awesome buy for someone. Must hold back ... want to buy it... :)

1:16 is just ridiculous. Flat out, plain ridiculous!

Not desperate to sell, but if someone came along with the right kind of money I may bring myself to part with it....

I'd like to see the g's Adams car is pulling around the corners verse some of the setup gtr's on the same tyres. Suspension geometry has alway interested me even though I know little about it. I'd just like to see if the time is mainly in balls out around corners or in the straights/braking.

1.16 is fast for a skyline gtst and congrates to Adam getting there but slow compared to the sport sedans times. No doubt it can go a quicker with practice and dialing it in. Hanging to see how it progresses. Its a monster of a car with a good steerer.

Jack its funny how things have changed. You only see a handfully of people you know at the track these days from SAU. I like you, bris etc and most of the others haven't seen the track in a while apart from Russ/Ryan/Ant. Don't even who why I peruse the forums when I never drive my car. This SAU forum addiction is hard to shake!

Looking forward to it soon changing. LOL, i have done the Ring, Spa and attended a few GPs. SO whilst abroad, I am trying to get as much motorsport whislt not piloting my car. :)

Re sports sedans, they are on bigger slicks, 200kgs lighter again then Adams GTSt and use custom suspension points/layout on space frame chassis. So, if on semis you can get within 4 seconds of those times i say you are a freak. He is 6 seconds off the top Sports Sedan times....so still a freak and from what i know is as quick, if not quicker then any Vic GTR. The only times i know of being quicker in a GTR are JFK and Markov on slicks in their GTRs

Yeh posted it and then thought about the suspension mount thing and also the weight bias. Gtst's are very light in the ass. Didn't know he was on RE55's also. Thought he would have gone stickier tyres to go with the car. Adam has massive tyres on his car though. Had a read of the sports sedan page and they are in the 1.08's but the average is 1.10's. Another 6-8 seconds faster than him and then another 6-7 faster than you. Where do they gain all this time?

V8 Supercars have been in the 1.09's and are prob the same power/brakes/weight. He is super quick but all I was trying to imply is there should be a couple seconds more in the car in the future with tyres/practice/suspension. It would have cost more than a second hand supercar to build so I bet he's hoping to gain a little more time. I know the Sports sedans and Supercars have proper suspension guys who know boats and that is a massive advantage plus all the practice the drivers get in their cars is always going to be hard to beat or even get near to for a weekend club guy. He even admits though when you speak to him that its pretty much almost a sports sedan.

It'll be good to see how you go in the old girls Bris. Hope she treats you well and behaves with all the love you've given her.

More importantly when are we having beers?

DECA NEXT WEEKEND is too far away. Sat night brother. Will sms you from the airport tomoz :)

I would be real curious to see someone buy a basic used R33 GTR, already with the usual stuff for 22k. Spend 5k on stripping it, race seat, and good pads and seat and harness, tyres. I suspect with steel wheel turbo and 280awkws it would be an entertaining, quick and reliable thing without breaking the bank.

I'm going out in Richmond sat night trying to chase a few munters at the Swan with a heap of mates. Your welcome to come.

I've msg'd Ash already about the R33 rolling shell his mate has. My plan atm is to put all my gtr gear into a R33 GTR or a Stagea. Stagea is the best value I think. Almost buy a whole Stag for the price selling the gtr shell. 300rwkw tow car sounds good.

JFK's car was pretty much that not long after he first got it wasn't it? Was really quick even then.

Roy, Jack, Rowdy, I fall into the same boat as all of you. I haven't seen a track day in years and it's getting to me. Hell the POS Telstar has been sitting in the garage for 12 months now, waiting for a reshell or some love.

Issue after issue with it too. I chanced my luck with a 2nd hand built bottom end, which has blow by after 12thousand km's since it's build. Poor tune resulting in no mapping above 5000rpm due to lack of time spent on it. It was the week before Powercruise and Jamboree.... The car is running 20psi and blowing open the exhaust valves, causing crap power and a severe drop off in torque.

I also share the pain with Bris of being away from the 'centre' of the motorsport and the guys I know. Couple that with spending money on keeping the house standing and it leaves very little coin to be thrown around on a car I don't drive every day. I spent 7K in 2 weeks on repairing the roof and a busted hot water system that would have seen the car well and truely sorted....However it does keep the rain off my head and my water hot.

I could sell you one almost right now for around 14k, if you want? :(

(minus the steel wheeled turbos, i dont have those :))

    • looking for some help and maybe some insight on others experience with a new LSD. R34 GT ran and drive beautifully, but always alot of grip loss due to the open R200 rear end, so I just installed a new 1.5 LSD way into the stock open R200 for a ER34. Simple. Everything seemed right. I test drove for the first time this weekend. as I started to back out the garage the first time slowly with tires straight it sounded and felt like I had a loose or half disconnected drive shaft...that was clucking around loose and shaking entire vehicle, and making it feel like the trans clutch was spontaneously slipping then grabbing very roughly while just letting out pedal slowly. I backed it out went to pull forward with the same noise, shake and slip grab feeling with hesitation, I turned the tires to back out more and then pulled ahead some same thing but worst because of added wheel resistance (which that I expected) puzzled … pulling it back in checking everything over and finding nothing wrong, I tried it the next day. same thing, couldn’t believe how it shook everything again making a terrible noise and making it feel like the trans clutch was slipping and grabbing, but I got it out of garage into the driveway, got it straight, drove forward and then reveres a few times in a straight line everything shaking , causing what felt like clutch slip and grab every time, sounded like right behind front driver tire and I could feel it in the floor board with my feet,... worst right when beginning to let clutch pedal out to engage slightly, shuttering and sounding terrible along the way…I managed to slowly get down the road, babying it the whole way, once I was rolling (out of 1st) seemed to be better and between shifts, then clutch felt closer to normal…not slip/ grab etc., but back down to any stop, straight road or turning, same thing. Made no difference if all tires were straight or if I was turning. All other gauge read out correct. with in 2 miles as planned I reached the empty parking lot and performed the break in procedure that came with lsd, essentially to drive in a figure 8 a bunch.  Did this, binding chattering, and shaking the car the whole way. I drove it back home seemed somewhat normal once I was in straight line and past 10 mph or so, and I know it will “bind” on corners and cause some tires squeal when turning especially from a stop, but when I begin to move it still causes what feels like the trans clutch to slip and jerk badly as well as shaking the entire car, and sounds terrible, that I didn’t expect. I used the fluid they supplied with LSD kit and did the breaking, planning to change fluid as they suggest after breaking, but wondering will it get smoother or less aggressive with use? maybe a 1.5 is just too aggressive for normal road driving?   I have a LSD that I put in my 71 cuda when I restored it, with amazing smooth , quite yet effective results. Different style LSD but that ones a joy to drive. maybe expecting too much from this R200?

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
