I was not receiving anything until I did this workaround, it's not perfect but does the job:

And I have not tested it further, but I guess you can deselect the rightmost column (inline notification)

Yes something is busted boys. PM notifications are broken, and they were 100% working 2 days ago.

I've emailed C as i don't have access to that bit.

Sit tight

Yes ... same it was for me ... PM fine, but no notification when subscribed to a topic.

But when you set the (personal) notification-settings as I did, you'll receive a PM for every reply on subscribed topic.

It's a bit of a workaround ...

So is anybody taking care of it?

My workaround works, but I receive all notifications as PM ..

(At least I do not miss any replies)

same!

hmmm since your not getting any subscriptions at all maybe remove all watched topics and start again

you shouldn't need to tick a box every time you post, auto subscribe is in your Control Panel settings

in brief:

go to Manage Watched Topics >>Here<< put a tick in the box on the far right and then all the way down the bottom of the page unsubscribe

then

go to Notifications >>Here<< put a tick in the Watch every topic I reply to box and select immediate notification, fingers crossed that will fix your issues

When I originally had the issue this fixed it for me, now it doesn't seem to matter though as I get notifications every time.

Check your junkmail.

I had the same problems, and it was sending SAU to the trash.

It was odd, because it never used to do it. I just randomly stopped getting emails, took me weeks to figure that out. Make a rule for your inbox to not let them be trashed.

Thanks for info. Firstly I checked my junk straight away to check this. No mails there. I have noticed the odd mail for new topics being started in one of the forums which think I opted for a while ago. but I don't get them as often as I used to.

Also to clarify the e-mail notification box is ticked automatically hen I make a post or reply as that is what I set my control panel to. I just made a habit of checking it was for sure recently when I stopped getting e-mails!

I cannot really unsubscribe from watched topics as I am watching a lot and some are for a very good reason and I may not find them again if I unsubscribe. I guess I could try unsubscribing from some I don't need any more and see if that helps? Maybe there is a subscription limit we are not aware of?!

Cheers

Lee

yeah im not sure about a subscription limit

by a lot of topics your watching how many do you mean maybe you could open them all in new tabs unsubscribe from them all and re-subscribe to the ones you want to watch again

i lost a whole heap of subscriptions once upon a time also i dealt with it and moved on ;)

    • Yeah, it's getting like that, my daughter is coming over on Thursday to help me remove the bonnet so I can install the Carbuilders underbonnet stuff,  I might get her to give me a hand and remove the hardtop, maybe, because on really hot days the detachable hardtop helps the aircon keep the interior cool, the heat just punches straight through to rag top I also don't have enough hair for the "wind in the hair" experience, so there is that....LOL
    • Could be falling edge/rising edge is set wrong. Are you getting sync errors?
    • On BMWs what I do because I'm more confident that I can't instantly crush the pinch welds and do thousands of USD in chassis damage is use a set of rubber jacking pads designed to protect the chassis/plastic adapter and raise a corner of the car, place the aforementioned 2x12 inch wooden planks under a tire, drop the car, then this normally gives me enough clearance to get to the front central jack point. If you don't need it to be a ramp it only needs to be 1-1.5 feet long. On my R33 I do not trust the pinch welds to tolerate any of this so I drive up on the ramps. Before then when I had to get a new floor jack that no longer cleared the front lip I removed it to get enough clearance to put the jack under it. Once you're on the ramps once you simply never let the car down to the ground. It lives on the ramps or on jack stands.
    • Nah. You need 2x taps for anything that you cannot pass the tap all the way through. And even then, there's a point in response to the above which I will come back to. The 2x taps are 1x tapered for starting, and 1x plug tap for working to the bottom of blind holes. That block's port is effectively a blind hole from the perspective of the tap. The tapered tap/tapered thread response. You don't ever leave a female hole tapered. They are supposed to be parallel, hence the wide section of a tapered tap being parallel, the existince of plug taps, etc. The male is tapered so that it will eventually get too fat for the female thread, and yes, there is some risk if the tapped length of the female hole doesn't offer enough threads, that it will not lock up very nicely. But you can always buzz off the extra length on the male thread, and the tape is very good at adding bulk to the joint.
    • Nice....looking forward to that update
