That is a massive turbo, if your going something that big you should either know what you are doing or be taking the advice of a GOOD mechanic.

No offense intended mate, but this sort of question is not one that needs to be asked... You are looking at a turbo capable of over 1000HP.. Which in turn will be a $xx000 engine setup. Note both numbers are missing, meaning I dare not assume it will be under 20 or even 30.

Just to put things into perspective, a 35R can run a 10. So the question is, what do you hope to do with a GT47?

Don't take on a setup like this unless you have $50,000 to spend. This $50k can be spent two ways:

1. Really good setup with all the correct parts and advice and you'll do 9's all day. You won't crack 8's because you need the chassis set up properly and the cost doubles

2. Buy all the cheap shit parts around to get it to work and spend $50k fixing your setup for every time it breaks

take a look at the mercury motorsport nitto, it has a GT47 on a built 2.7l RB26, can only imagine its a LOT more work to get it performing on a 25.

There is no reason why it wont go on a RB25, but for it to work effeciently is a whole different story

Yup thats what I was going to say, talk to mercury motorsport. I believe they use nos to reduce the lag, plus a fully designed setup with lots of experience in big power cars.

No reducing the lag on a GT4788. But if anyone would know about bolting a stupidly big turbo onto a RB trent would be the guy to talk too.

47 on a 25 .. goose.

my 26/30 will be running a gt42 and i reckon that a tad ovakill, couldnt imagine it with a 47 and an even smaller engine lol

Oh come come now - you can't really call him a goose given some of your recent posts! :whistling:

    • Agreed, and in particular the earth strap that should go from the subframe to the chassis but it often broken or left off. There is a section in the R32 workshop manual you can follow for troubleshooting if you don't see anything suspicious, and depending where you are (there is no location on your user profile) you should be able to get your hands on a second hand replacement unit still if needed
    • Yeah they mention as a R34 for 2.5 Turbo...but then again thos "small" were also for R34 by that different site. But i look into it and that 310mm EBC is for R34 GTT. And by those you linked the specs are the same 🙂    EDIT: I found these on one site here: DBA 4000 series T3 DBA42304S They are 310mm...and it says are for R34GTT...are there good? EDIT2: ok they have pads too.  What "color" should i get for street use? I dont want/need some noisy ones...(and if they are not that dusty that is good too)
    • Yeah, shame. Maybe  driver's carpet is available 🙏. I am waiting for both amayama and nangun to confirm.
    • Probably. I take it that they are also mentioned to be for R34 Skyline? For example.... RDA has that part as RDA7957. I have the dimpled and slotted version of that on my car https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/285518478694?srsltid=AfmBOopKxMuAFpsxZJdB1cam4D5RAj1f9yJyOttPZLAwXVNCOiwlhrIy This is DBA's top one piece equivalent https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/364246686631?srsltid=AfmBOorbb0XHQgqTvZLgQPhg70nqJtGvdojKnugum3O2LFSr2h-obp8D
