Any idea on the cam/head specs on that 2j lith?

So full boost at 4k is rather good for a near 800hp

I wonder how much sooner the 6262 would come on?

The 2J is mental, its a 3.4litre stroker running an angry head and 9.5:1 compression - good motor to get the best out of a turbo.

Slightly OT, but from the same car the initial test was a PT6266 vs PT6766 vs a PT7175 - they just maxed out all turbos and posted the results:

SP have also tested a new PT6466CEA which the results for are flabberghasting. Looks like a fricken awesome unit for a street 3litre.

Naturally the power delivery and power levels are mental because of it being a big angry 2JZ - but its all relative. The EFR8374 is known to spool similar to a GT3582R, so the PT6266 etc are very very impressive for the power they make.

Stupidly responsive for the power output!

Yeah but have a look @ the power band, the EFR noses over after 1500rpm (4000-5500rpm), where the Precision pulls for a solid 2500rpm (5000-7500). Numbers are rough, but ya get the picture

Depends on the use of the car. Also Precision not being twin scroll as well... Very interesting comparo.

I assume it would be their 7 sec street/strip Supra motor for the big 1000hp runs

Was reading the full thread on SF earlier

We set out to prove the R14 conversion kit, ETS-Pro and EFR turbo today. using the EFR 8374 on my RB26, we got 1st place on the dyno - 704whp thru the cat, with huge area under the curve. This morning we also got 1st place in autocross (historically our worst event since we usually focused on drag and time attack) but a bad cyl #6 coilpack overheated in the back of the valley and ended our day. too bad, thats racing!

mr lith - here is a cell phone vid of the dyno pull from one of the guys who worked at the dyno shop, you can sort of see the chart at the end. the cat was glowing bright red

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
