took out my coilovers and put in standard suspension, rides like a 4x4 to go over the pits,

failed because of my eyelids, i knew it anyways forgot to take them off, and because of my tint

i have 8% light through the rear two doors and 13% in the front doors, aparently i have to take all the tint off the car, dont know how i can do it... i also found out that they tinted over the factory glass, well will see what happens....

sigh so annoyed

least the guy didnt waste my time and told me what to fix before he "inspected it properly"

Is your tint just the factory tint or does it look heavier? From what I understand the factory tint should be fine :s

Not something I did to my car (engine is still out of it) but what I did today:

went to Tauranga for an SDU (Skylines Down Under) dyno day. In the awd turbo class an R32 GTR made 501awkw, an R33 GTR made 381awkw and a 260RS Stagea was third with a first run of 300awkw on 14psi and on 18 psi made 324awkw (for those who remember Psymin's Stagea it is no more - he is putting all the good running gear in an R32 GTR and the car is for sale with an RB26... pretty much stock RS260).

A 4wd V8 Adventra made 228awkw!

Friday, i fitted new clarion HU and Gizzmo EBC, removed split dumps, front pipe, hi flow cat and GCG turbo off my written off r32. Yesterday i fitted split dumps and hi flow to me new stag. Have my Nistune board here, just waiting for another ECU i bought from perth to arrive, then ill fit my nistune, hi flow GCG, z32 AFM (off the r32) silicon intake pipe and tech edge wide band O2 sensor.

Then i need to sell my r32 (repairable write off, has nistune, injectors, coils and so on already fitted) to fund intercooler, injectors and coils for the stag.

Looking good...

Funniest night in history last night

finished work, went to kidafa's place to help them finish his manual conversion

all was well

took it for a spin round the block, runs really good

started heading home, and as I boosted past chris to turn off my way home I blew off an intercooler pipes.awesome

luckily chris had mike and Adam in his car and they pulled over to help

was f**ken bucketing down and we had no tools to fix the popped hose

another sau member was randomly driving past and pulled over to help

he went back to his place that was just up the road to get tools,he got back and after some swearing and mike putting water down my arse crack I got the pipe back on and tight

only to find that my battery had gone flat.thanks for jinxing me Adam!

Had jumper leads in the car so sau random did a u turn to get our cars end to end,but his hybrid pos wasn't starting my car

he starts reversing back up the portrush rd only to be pulled over by the fuzz on patrol!

Got a warning, and breatho'd and he headed home again to get a jumper pack

so us 4 clowns are standing on the footpath waiting for him to get back and got f**ken egged by a car full of douches, who carries eggs these days and pelts stranded people? Teats

anyways, finally got my green machine running and headed home. But an hour and a half standing in the rain and with my window stuck half open my interior and Gtr seats are sopping wet...

Thanks to all the lads for sticking around

big ups mike,chris and chef

I'd have been f**ked without you!

And of course thanks to the random sau good Samaritan for the tools and jump pack

ps chris, that's why you should dress appropriately.put some pants and a f**ken jumper on!

And that's my story, and mike wonders why I want to sell my stag...

Finally got to have a decent drive after fitting the front facing plenum. It still runs lumpy when cold but after that smooth as. Did 460ks on about 3/4 tank. Best I have ever got.

Also while away picked up a pair of front guards, front bar with lip and some skirts. $50. They are spares jic.

On blowing IC hoses. During testing after fitting the front mount and running huge boost, the hoses kept blowing off the straight pieces of pipe, did not matter how tight the clamps. Simple solution was to drill 4 holes and fit self tappers. The heads stopped the clamp from slipping the same as a lip or ring of weld. Easy to do and inexpensive.

    • I'm normally copping my own abuse from neglecting my daily drivers. "Those suspension bushes will last a bit more", "Don't worry about the oil leak, just keep topping it up". The project cars I'm always doing things slowly on them as I'm wanting them to be done better, and neater, and nicer. Luckily I don't have to deal with 18 year old Matt's "Learning to wire" stuff in the project cars. And there's only one piece of wiring I'm displeased about in the Landcruiser, and it's about to be cut out... However, the box loads of parts that have been going through this place lately for the Landcruiser... Brake pads Brake Rotors Full handbrake overhaul Wheel Bearings Seals Swivel hubs Steering Boxes Half the suspension joints Shocks Air bags (Ones to go in the rear springs for towing) Water pump Timing kit Lower timing case Harmonic Balancer Radiator Lots of other little seals and shits Gas struts for the bonnet New power window switches And god knows what else I've forgotten... Ha ha ha I have my fingers crossed the pinion seals don't start leaking on the diffs, that the transfer case doesn't leak, and the gearbox input shaft doesn't leak, nor the rear main seal. As they're about the only seals I haven't replaced in the driveline! I'm seriously eyeing off buying new caliper rebuild kits front and rear brake calipers... I'll probably recheck all the valve clearances soon too, and hopefully, it should be all good and sweet to haul some long distance trips again!
    • Every time I pull my 3x gauges out of the console and see the crack-addict way that I did the wiring, and I just can't bring myself to tear it all apart and "make it nice", because it is currently working. In fact, the last time I was in there I probably made it worse.
    • The best part is when you own the car long enough that you look back and find your OWN ham fisted amateur shit!
    • The annoying part about neglect, is when you start to replace one thing, and find ten more broken things. Ham fisted monkey repairs you normally only find out about when trying to do something unrelated! Ha ha   Neglect you can kind of anticipate the huge costs to fix it all. Ham fistedness is normally a shock the first time your work on a new old car, as everything "looked" good before.
