May I ask who's doing the nisstune for you as I dont think its possible on a series 1 stagea.

You can. You just need a Z32 ecu or an RB20 ECU (with some other gizzmo for VCT). Its just a bit more messing about. But I'm sure Shaun at Boostworx could sort it out for you.

4bidn1, you should put your stag in the Extreme HP show this weekend ... hint, hint.

EDIT: bubba beat me to it :)

yeah above is correct, apparently there was a prob with autos but think that is also sorted out now but does not really matter as will be running a MV autos shift kit and a manulised auto conversion with b&m shifter same set up as J had in the vl and yeah shaun will be doing tune for me when i get there he is an old mate of Js from years ago when he was in the game (stopped to have family) but both J and i are car nuts so was only matter of time HA HA J could not even leave his work ute standard dam car bug  Needs more cleaning up and power b4 any shows maybe next year

cheers rose

Is the above correct for auto too? What ecu do you run bubba?

Currently a Haltech e11v2 (piggy backed), but my wagoon is series 2, have a NIStune board sitting at home waiting to go in when I have cash for a tune and find the motivation to extract the Haltech.. that bit is going to be far from fun

Auto series 1's you will probably be fine as the TCM is seperate to the ECU whereas in my series 2 the TCM is part of the ECU.

That being said, with a mild shift kit it doesn't seem to really care that the Haltech doesn't talk back. Before the shift kit though, it was terrible.

So, the old thread is too large.

Feel free to continue various discussions here, or start new ones! They might even be related to cars, too, but that'll be your choice.

Anyway, just to keep with the food theme of the old thread, may I say I've taken a special liking to a certain salad over the many years I've spend on this earth.

Meat Salad: chicken, pork, beef, ham, sausages, bacon, lamb, etc, in various combinations! May even sometimes include fish.

The beauty of it all is that seeing as I only really like pork fat (especially crackling) and chicken skin, and I don't really eat that much of either, I can remain relatively healthy! :P :P :)

Discuss.

Green stagea's have a nasty habit of getting written off ;)

and I dont own a stagea either, sif thats gonna stop me from attempting to whore up a storm in here

well there is a distinct lack of green stageas in adelaide now...

No way in hell I'm doing the Stagea green :D

Got something a little more classy than green in mind

NNNNnnnoooooooo, don't say that, Dale - mine is dark green.

:(

statistically , dark green cars are , or were before the demise of this colour 20 years ago in UK , more likely to be involved in an accident because its colour blends in with its surrounds , both urben and around town . Drive with your yellow`s on , works for me

Is there a time to go with that pic, or are you just teasing?

on a completely random note i wondered when i drove to sydney in the stagea why i saw no kangaroo's in the country

then two months later..i came across this weird plastic object that fell from the bumper when doing the fmic install, which later my mate explained was a roo shoo , makes a whistle and they supposedly bail.

Well it seems to work cause i didnt see one (that was alive)..and i went the inland route!

Went to the most awesome middle eastern bakery today(been going there my whole life haha).... so now just gorged myself on an awesome dinner, and have a 1KG tub of semi dried chili/spiced olives with evil chili's all through it to get through... when I bought it I forgot my tongue is shredded still from GI issues haha

    • Yea - I mean I've seen my fuel pump which is decades old and uh, while I'm not saying this with real knowledge... but I sure get the ick at using anything in the fuel system that produced the state of that pump. Many years ago I went through multiple pumps (and strainers) before I dropped the tank to clean it out with extreme violence. I'm talking the car would do maybe 50km before coming to a halt, which resulted in me cleaning out the filter with some brake cleaner and going on my way. None of my stuff ever looked like what came out of your fuel tank. I don't think I'd be happy with it unless every single component was replaced (or at least checked/cleaned/confirmed to be clean here).
    • I'm not going to recommend an EBC pad. I don't like them. Just about anything else would suit me better. I've been using Intima pads for a while now.
    • Agreed, and in particular the earth strap that should go from the subframe to the chassis but it often broken or left off. There is a section in the R32 workshop manual you can follow for troubleshooting if you don't see anything suspicious, and depending where you are (there is no location on your user profile) you should be able to get your hands on a second hand replacement unit still if needed
    • Yeah they mention as a R34 for 2.5 Turbo...but then again thos "small" were also for R34 by that different site. But i look into it and that 310mm EBC is for R34 GTT. And by those you linked the specs are the same 🙂    EDIT: I found these on one site here: DBA 4000 series T3 DBA42304S They are 310mm...and it says are for R34GTT...are there good? EDIT2: ok they have pads too.  What "color" should i get for street use? I dont want/need some noisy ones...(and if they are not that dusty that is good too)
    • Yeah, shame. Maybe  driver's carpet is available 🙏. I am waiting for both amayama and nangun to confirm.
