What an arvo! Thought I'd go get the tyres flipped due to severe inner wear due to the last Clayton place setting the wheel alignment to 8deg toe ? so I went back to the usual tyre shop and they put 2 big splits in the side wall of the tyre while doing it and then tried to say it wasn't them even though they just said it's that bad you can't drive on it as the sidewall was balloning out, then how the hell did I get there on them, then they said they looked fine when they first pulled the wheel from the car, go figure. So after some talks they said they will pay for the new replacement.

Then I get home and check the rims and they have put small scratches and a gouge in all rims ?

For such a simple job I've yet to come across a tyre shop that can do anything without f#cking it up.

The machine clamps on the inside of the rim to get the tyre on or off. Guess they weren't careful.

Sorry to hear, a least you have come to some sort of arrangement.

Yeah just lack of attention and care. Gonna have a go at them tomorrow about damaging the rim lips, can't see anything happening about it though.

*sniff, sniff*

Is that jealousy I smell in your post Alex? I think so. Mmmmm red V35 fronted Stagea...

The black Stagea is full Dolphin PM35 body parts (grill, eye lids, front lip, skirts, rear bar and spoiler). Looks surprisingly good (???!!)

Have started wondering what a Y50 Fuga front end on a Stagea would look like....

That wing is ridiculous though. Not sure if it's the adjustable version, but epically OTT.

Y50 Fuga front end might be ok, if it'll fit. But no one around here would put a different face on their M35, would they? :whistling:

Jealousy of what...?

You like it do you? Its all yours!

I like the black one. Needs a good clean but.

No thanks, that red one burns the back of my eye balls and sears the darkest recesses of my brain

Only those with an NM35 need consider a facelift.

Oh, and it is highly recommended :)

Why? They're 2 very different cars. Ask your mate how quickly & comfortably he can cart a family away camping for a weekend. He'd be embarrassed 'cause he'd have to drive his mums' camry wagon, lol.

Still, I bet it was a nice experience riding in (driving?) a 10 sec GTR. I admit I've never been in a car that quick.

Why embarrassed?

I stopped comparing my car to gtrs or s15s. There is no point. You have to start of thinking you have a wagon!

I can do say, 80% of what a gtr can do. But I can still carry a couch in the back when I want to, and I don't get stalked by cops everyday. That's a win, to me.

yeah yeah I know I know its a different car...

I guess embarresed might be the wrong term. More "disappointed when I stomp on the accelerator and I don't get pinned to me seat"....LOL

I can help with your addiction... :)

I would prescribe another 100kw to put that smile back on your face, but power costs money and lots of it. (as i'm sure your gtr mate has found out.) And you cant control what you have now... Back driving yet? :P

So Scotty, when are you joining the 400kW club?

    • You Gregged a whole racetrack!?
    • Look for broken wire or bad connector at the motor. Might not be it, but is worth starting there, as it is easy.
    • Hi everyone, I’m having an issue with my R32 GT-R. Sometimes, when the car goes over a bump or experiences some vibration, the 4WD warning light comes on the dashboard. When I check the code from the control unit in the trunk, it shows Code 19 – ETS Motor. However, everything seems to be working fine — if I turn off the engine and restart the car, the light goes away and everything functions normally. Has anyone experienced this before? Where should I start troubleshooting this issue? Thanks in advance!
    • I'm back from the dyno - again! I went looking for someone who knew LS's and had a roller dyno, to see how it shaped up compared to everything else and confirm the powerband really is peaking where Mr Mamo says it should. TLDR: The dyno result I got this time definitely had the shape of how it feels on the road and finally 'makes sense'. Also we had a bit more time to play with timing on the dyno, it turns out the common practice in LS is to lower the timing around peak torque and restore it to max after. So given a car was on the dyno and mostly dialled in already, it was time for tweaking. Luis at APS is definitely knowledgable when it came to this and had overlays ready to go and was happy to share. If you map out your cylinder airmass you start seeing graphs that look a LOT like the engine's torque curve. The good thing also is if you map out your timing curve when you're avoiding knock... this curve very much looks like the inverse of the airmass curve. The result? Well it's another 10.7kw/14hp kw from where I drove it in at. Pretty much everywhere, too. As to how much this car actually makes in Hub Dyno numbers, American Dyno numbers, or Mainline dyno numbers, I say I don't know and it's gone up ~25kw since I started tinkering lol. It IS interesting how the shorter ratio gears I have aren't scaled right on this dyno - 6840RPM is 199KMH, not 175KMH. I have also seen other printouts here with cars with less mods at much higher "kmh" for their RPM due Commodores having 3.45's or longer (!) rear diff ratios maxing out 4th gear which is the 1:1 gear on the T56. Does this matter? No, not really. The real answer is go to the strip and see what it traps, but: I guess I should have gone last Sunday...
