Fark Cruise the homo and fark Redbull for giving some uber ruch retard such a special experience.

And re the name dropping of corners, I think its more to with years of watching races at this circuit and from reading accounts of people like Surtees etc which makes the circuit and the cornes zo memorable. I wouldnt have a clue of corner names of the new uber shit tracks that you never read about

let's hope its a wet race then...

Hell yeah thumbsup.gif

No DRS through Eau Rouge during practice and qually.

That's bs, make the drivers drive, racing is unsafe as it is, they're just making it slightly less interesting

Btw if anyone's interested heidfeld may be out due to his uncertain future at renault

http://www.itv.com/formula1/news/2011/8/uncertainty-surrounds-nick-heidfelds-renault-future-6572/

Also didn't rossi have a run in an f1 car a few years ago and quickly got within a second of massa or raikkonnen?

Oh, and IMO Spa doesnt need DRS. They are such long straights that if your tyres are two laps older I think they are going to struggle to defend position into Les Combes and after the blast up through Blanchimont and into the chicane, hell if Baron can overtake GT3s in a lowly Exige at that part of the track then maybe Vettel can do it this year without punting someone :)

lol, yes I can take a GT3 up the inside into the bus stop but on the way to blanchimont they were blowing past 2 at a time! it did take me a couple sessions before I realised I was about 50km/h too slow through blanchimont and that it's actually pretty much flat even in the exige. fking great corner. the whole track took me a bit of recalibration as it's just so fast everywhere. very easy on brakes as you practically don't need them except at the bus stop and la source. my kind of track.

god I want to go back to spa. let's do it soon bris. I'm ready for europeans to try and separate me from my dough again. fkers.

asking vettel to make a pass without some contact might be wishful thinking though.

exactly. fark tell me 'turn 13' at spa and I have NFI what you're on about. say blanchimont and I know. same goes for la source, eau rogue etc. i have no idea what turn they are but I know what they're called and what they look like. if you guys are telling me you watch F1 but have no interest in spa then you must not be watching the same thing I am watching. spa by a fair margin would be the best circuit on the current calendar. many other circuits have some good points but spa is the package.

also agree that tom cruise is a bastard. plus he's a bloody scientologist freak. that alone should be enough to convince anyone to treat him like the clown he's become. I mean he's like operating thetan 6 or something now isn't he so he should be able to levitate... well if he can fly under his own steam (gas more likely) what the fk does he need an F1 car for? give it to poor mortals like me who can only walk at the best of times.

Cruise races motorbikes. Dudes that are handy on a bike usually do alright in track cars.

Rich guys go well with the ladeez too but that doesn't make it right.

A couple of us handsome lads at SAU are far more deserving of a drive in F1....bastard.

My comment was a bit of a joke, they are lovely corner names.

I like spa, think I'm unbeaten there in my 4 year f1 career

As for no DRS, chances are the drivers wouldn't have it open through there anyway as they don't want to die before race day

Tom has been an F-14 pilot, a NASCAR driver and even made cocktails in flamboyant style with Bryan Brown. He's more than qualified.

Ah cocktail, great film, :whistling:

And Baron he's been on the bus so long now he's basically f**king Xenu !

But yes, Spa, greatest track on the calender !

I know it was a joke you fanges. don't make me pouhon you from my la source.

Well the Top Gun pilot thing has been explained in this rant by Tarantino in Sleep With Me.

...and he jumped on Oprah's lounge.

What's your fastest lap time?, Mike D

No idea to be honest. Not happy with the fact that the name Michael is not in the list of names the team calls you. 'Mick' doesn't do it for me.

I suppose if there was a mildly successful F1 driver with the name Michael they would have incl....

    • Yeah I suspect even if you hold airmass per cycle/cylinder constant if you get too far away from stock you're still going to have problems running the factory tune within the bounds of the factory load scale. Cams, different displacement/rod ratio, etc. I'm just lucky that the GTIII-SS with wastegate boost + CA compliance cats is pretty much equivalent to stock turbos. When I have actual space I can finally get it tuned and modify the fuel system for flex fuel to 100% handle any detonation concerns when cranking the boost to whatever those dinky turbos can put out.
    • I would say no, why, because my daughter, who also lives in Goulburn, hasn't recommended us going there Pity, as we miss all the German joints around in Sydney, actually, the restaurants are the only thing I really miss about Sydney, and a special mention to Ishibanboshi at Bondi Junction, their Kara-age Don is heart cloggingly deliciousness (always added a special boiled egg...or 2) 😋
    • Does that German restaurant still exist in the old place out the NW end of Goulburn? When I say "out the NW end of"...I am really being vague. It was 1997 when I was last there, and the only point of reference I can recall is that it was on the opposite side of the main drag from the big merino. And when I say "opposite side of the main drag", I don't mean "on the main drag". It was either a couple of streets back from there, or might have even been out in the sticks a bit further. Was an old farm building or mill or somesuch. And when I say "the big merino" I might actually be thinking of a completely different part of town, because I just looked on maps and the big bugger is not where I remembered him to be! The food was good, consisting largely of various German mystery-meat sausage/loaf things and kartofflen.
    • So while the second sentence is completely correct and the whole point of the conversation, the first sentence bears consideration. If this bloke is just hoping to throw big turbos on and drive it around, because there are no helpful facilities at all in his tropical paradise** then he likely has zero chance of even knowing what the TP is on the last column in the stock maps, let alone know whether the ECU is operating anywhere near it or past it. So the point is very very moot. And, per what I said before, at stock boost on those turbos, you may well be off the end of the map. **I'm just back from Vanuatu, so I know exactly what small Pacific nations can be like wrt paradise without requisite facilities. But it's not even that simple. I put a high flow on my car and had to drive it around without a proper tune because of the lack of opportunity*** to put the bigger AFM and injectors into it to allow it to be tuned. I had to turn the boost down to less than I had before, and back off the boost controller's ramp, because it was exploring parts of the map that it didn't drive in before, and really couldn't access for tuning on the dyno either, and so was pinging. It was still well within the last column, because when I first**** set up the Nistune on the Neo I rescaled all axes of the maps to give some more space to explore. ***Family dyno was broken ****This was 13 years ago, and the TIM thing wasn't a thing then and so TP would definitely grow when pushing past the stock tune's limits.
    • Yep, this bit another local owner. I caught it before putting the transmission back into the car, what I noticed was the pressure plate fingers weren't flat and even. It's more obvious with the pull style clutch because the throwout bearing ring was visibly not flat once everything is put together. Nismo should really update their instructions to call out this specific detail. I'm not even sure the clutch as-shipped orients everything properly.
