Hey guys, i was in the blue s13 with the legit L plates on it. I got a lot of videos for the day but a lot of them had either water all over the camera or shocking driving. Made up a vid of some of the good footage from the day. its here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MNPWJ7ZdW14

Tks to all the peeps that helped to sort out the day. The end of the day was the greatest. Got so many runs, look forward to the next one.

Enjoy the vid

Dude your a surprisingly good driver for a L plater. Nice drifting man, good to see you take initiative to make it to track days/skidpan events in a car you enjoy instead of doing it on the street showing off to your mates. Keep it up!

Awesome pics Kory!

Also, the PM's are not working yet, according to Christian it will take longer than 24 hours, so maybe by Tuesday

Wow - nice video. You're on your L's! Holy S!>>>>

Keep up the good work.

Thanks mate, i drive like a grandma on the roads and even if i did decide to do some "mad skids in ma hectik ride yo" i barely have enough power to beat a bloody camry. Love going to track days and having fun and its really cheap compared to doing stupid stuff on the streets. Crashes arent cheap and the cops dont get happy if a young kid in a Nissan hits a tree. Plus if you do it on the track and you spin out, turn around and keep going, do that on the road = Funeral bills.

Good on ya weapon. You're a shining example of what could happen if younger drivers were taught to have some pride and interest in their driving skillz as well as as their fully sick rims. Nice skids BTW.

Only problem is that there are no tracks/Venues that can offer days like this. The government are mega strict on having a motorsport event anywhere but when its done on the road they have a rage and say go do it on a track. Kinda hard if they keep closing them down. Eastern creek is really the only track thats available to do some real racing/drifting and even then, sometimes when I have been there the people at the gate are real a**holes. Guess if you want motorsport that is non-stop awesomeness, go to jp.

can someone let me know Eric's forum name, i need to give him moneys for the gopro hire.

Hey Buddy, since PM's still aren't working you can reach me on my mobile 0419 468 835 or email [email protected]

I should be getting the last of the photos today (I hope - I've been chasing down the post man too). Then I'll duplicate them this weekend and mail out on Monday.

If anyone is coming to the Jim Richards Dinner, PM me and I'll bring your disks for hand delivery.

Post screwed up so I'll be getting the photos hand delivered and may be a little later in the week on posting them out because I have a busy week on. They will go out next week though.

In the mean time here is a little compliation video I put together (freshly dropped on youtube so quality will improve as then process and hopefully HD version available soon).

    • Hi all, long time listener, first time caller i was wondering if anyone can help me identify a transistor on the climate control unit board that decided to fry itself I've circled it in the attached photo any help would be appreciated
    • I mean, I got two VASS engineers to refuse to cert my own coilovers stating those very laws. Appendix B makes it pretty clear what it considers 'Variable Suspension' to be. In my lived experience they can't certify something that isn't actually in the list as something that requires certification. In the VASS engineering checklist they have to complete (LS3/NCOP11) and sign on there is nothing there. All the references inside NCOP11 state that if it's variable by the driver that height needs to maintain 100mm while the car is in motion. It states the car is lowered lowering blocks and other types of things are acceptable. Dialling out a shock is about as 'user adjustable' as changing any other suspension component lol. I wanted to have it signed off to dissuade HWP and RWC testers to state the suspension is legal to avoid having this discussion with them. The real problem is that Police and RWC/Pink/Blue slip people will say it needs engineering, and the engineers will state it doesn't need engineering. It is hugely irritating when aforementioned people get all "i know the rules mate feck off" when they don't, and the actual engineers are pleasant as all hell and do know the rules. Cars failing RWC for things that aren't listed in the RWC requirements is another thing here entirely!
    • I don't. I mean, mine's not a GTR, but it is a 32 with a lot of GTR stuff on it. But regardless, I typically buy from local suppliers. Getting stuff from Japan is seldom worth the pain. Buying from RHDJapan usually ends up in the final total of your basket being about double what you thought it would be, after all the bullshit fees and such are added on.
    • The hydrocarbon component of E10 can be shittier, and is in fact, shittier, than that used in normal 91RON fuel. That's because the octane boost provided by the ethanol allows them to use stuff that doesn't make the grade without the help. The 1c/L saving typically available on E10 is going to be massively overridden by the increased consumption caused by the ethanol and the crappier HC (ie the HCs will be less dense, meaning that there will definitely be less energy per unit volume than for more dense HCs). That is one of the reasons why P98 will return better fuel consumption than 91 does, even with the ignition timing completely fixed. There is more energy per unit volume because the HCs used in 98 are higher density than in the lawnmower fuel.
    • No, I'd suggest that that is the checklist for pneumatic/hydraulic adjustable systems. I would say, based on my years of reading and complying with Australian Standards and similar regulations, that the narrow interpretation of Clause 3.2 b would be the preferred/expected/intended one, by the author, and those using the standard. Wishful thinking need not apply.
