I had a great night and learnt some little secret's as well!.....one of the best and most interesting club meets I have ever been to!

Well done to all who organised this!

Put me in for the next one!!!!

P.S. So when's the 4WD driveline going in the R31 Jason???? :P

Nice meeting you mate ^^

What an awesome night!!!

My one and only complaint is that we should have started at like 9am. I could have listened to Jim and Alan speak all day.

And having the current owners of the cars there as well made it that much better.

By far one of my favourite SAU events.

Best part - it was extremely well organised and ran like clock work.

Thanks to all that organised the night.

good effort organisers, ran perfect. A very massive achievement considering it's the first kind of it's event the club has held. very impressive.

the whole night was excellent, catching up with people, checking out the cars, hearing stories from the good old days. top job!

It's amazing what you club execs can pull together these days! A far cry from the old days where organising a bunch of cars to meet in a carpark at a set time was difficult haha

the cut off for the Calendar's first print run is this afternoon. All orders currently in, or that are placed before 6pm today will be printed tomorrow and sent out over the through the week. if your interested best to check the calendar thread for payment and postage details :)

p.s. Who wants to help me steal that group c bluebird? ;) haha

Awesome night. Was great to talk to a few familiar faces too. Thanks to everyone to who was involved in organising the event.

A quick vid of the GIO Group A car being unloaded... :)

Looking forward to seeing Matt and Kory's photos!

 You guys can give yourselves a pat on the back because...

As I was trying to listen to a conversation between Eric and Duncan, I couldn't help but overhear Jim saying to Alan, "This is a great bunch of guys!"

So that to me my friends, was the 'cherry on the cake'!

PS A Request:-

If you really enjoyed your food on the night, would you like to to help the Trackside Restaurant's "Eatability" Rating by logging onto the "Eatability" site and register what you liked about the place!

p.s. Who wants to help me steal that group c bluebird? ;) haha

lol! love the 32 GIO car cause its a 32, still think the 31 is one of the best sounding cars ever, but my god would i love that bluebird!

Its the old school, small wheels, flared guards big a$$ spoilers that does it for me :)

Fantastic night!!! I'm so proud of the club when they put on amazing events like this... as Matboy said we've come a long way. Couldn't have done it without the tireless efforts of Terry & co behind the scenes (I'm not going to thank everyone lol).

Loved Jim and Alan's stories, and Jim really is SUCH a nice guy... got an awesome photo with him that I might just have to frame hehe. But he was so happy to sign/chat/etc with anyone and had a big smile on his face all night.

My pics are here if anyone wants a looksy!

    • I've searched fairly extensively among Japanese websites but found nothing really like those skirts in your photo. The closest I got was Origin Labo side skirts however they look more 'complete' in that they have a finishing piece or tab at the rear of the skirt so it blends into the bodywork, unlike the one in your pic. For that reason I'd say the skirts in your pic could be adapted from another car and they didn't include that tab piece, or those skirts aren't copied from an existing skirt but an original design. Sorry I can't help out in regard to ID'ing/sourcing them
    • Wonder if JB Weld sponsored the event lol
    • There's a big difference between a car built with millions of dollars in R&D, and someone like yourself taking a normal sporty road car, and making it 5 times more powerful. At the same time, get a modern sports car, and you can turn them up towards the 1000hp mark a lot easier too. Also, give that Lambo another 20 odd runs, and chances are it too may break something.
    • There isn’t really a cheap upgrade here. If someone made a decent, bolt in 6 speed that holds some grunt, it would do very well. The 5 speeds suck. You can put a - OSG 5 speed gear set into it. Ratios are tall so it zaps the “zing” out of it. Had one, busted it. - PPG 5 speed gear set synchro or dog’s. Ratios are even taller. - An overpriced Getrag. Nice to drive, expensive to source now. - A sequential of some sort. Expensive, very expensive. How many times do you pop a 5 speed before you throw the toys out of the cot?
    • Yes, fair call. I don't have any special love for super/hyper cars but it was impressive to watch the Lambo line up against successive skylines without any problem at all.
