I've been waiting around 6months, a little longer won't hurt I guess.

So have you heard that they will release 10cm housings Roy? Or did you mean I may get lucky and come across a turbine housing?

Have you thought about trying an 8cm? Maybe it wont be as bad as you think.

The 3 bolt flange is said to flow 30% more than a square flange, maybe with a big gate it will work fine and be even more responsive? You could always try.

Gtscott I think that's what I will try, can't see the harm in giving it a go. And I can always change the housing at a later date.

Im interested anyway to see how it fairs against the 10cm on a rb25

And I'm running a 50mm gate so maybe it may help control it a bit

Got a dyno sheet? There has been some interesting discussion on how much the TD05-18G can make. Is yours an external setup or internal? Love to know what it will make on pump :)

Yeah got one but just got to load it up

Internal gate

And I had the same turbo previously on pump 98 made 231rwkw on 19psi but I only had 555cc injectors then so was limited by them not the turbo capable of more with more boost like now

Still ran a 12.5 @118mph at wsid with 231rwkw I'm hoping I can run a high 11 now with the extra 22kw

Your not the dude I met at St Marys station for the .64 housing are you?

Roy I read it on the FP site amongst other places.

Actually its sold lol, collected money for it yesterday.

Im confident theres nothing wrong with the disco itself but its a bad match to the high comp motor and the cams are also shit.

I did say you would make the 250-260 mark mate. A nice result, but like weve been discussing theres possibly more in it with another exhaust housing, probably not worth the hassle tho.

How responsive is it on the street?

so having issues getting mine tuned atm. its only making 230 at 1bar

it hits full boost by 3700 (20psi, my tuner says this is very fast for this size turbo)holds it flat to about 5000rpm and dies back down very quickly to 1bar (gate pressure).

initially thought it was the BOV leaking so my tuner blocked it off and it helps a bit but it still dropping off fast after 5000 rpm.

my tuner has double checked everything and can't see anything wrong with the setup or any loose clamps or hoses.

his conclusion a) the rear housing is too small for it to drop off so fast up top (even if it was the smaller housing, the 8cm it should still hit 250~ and hold boost flat like BSA's results) or b) the manifold is restricting (but its been proven that the stock mani is good for 300 so that rules out the mani).

i did question a few pages back why the kando rear housings were so small compared to Trust/Greddy items but then its the same rear hats on simons T67-25G and he hasn't had any boost issues.

td06sl2-20g

stock manifold

tial wg44mm (1bar spring) plumbed back to exhaust

greddy profec B Spec2

no cat

hybrid style cooler with 2.5" piping

3" alloy intake with 3A racing filter

any ideas guys? pretty disappointed right now.

Have you considered the gate mod to the manifold might be holding it back? I wonder what would happen if it was plumbed off the rear housing instead with an intact manifold.

And that is some pretty rapid spool. Will be interesting to see the final result. Don't forget Jez has the same turbo and housing.

    • I'm selling my brand new, in the box, never used Hypergear ATR45 - and I had some additions I paid for a few yrs back when I purchased it. Never ended up having the rest of the money to add all the mods at once, so I just ended up slowly selling each part. I originally had it internally gated, with the dump pipe, however I found it was incompatible with what I was going to use it for, so I contacted (I think Ken) from Hypergear, and he and I messaged back and forth & he got me to ship the turbo back, where they modified it & made it externally gated, and gave me the 5 bolt dump pipe attachment for custom welding. (Photos below) This turbo like I said has never touched the inside of an engine bay, it's completely brand new, never used, been sitting in the same box it arrived in, covered in plastic & all. Below are the photos of it: And while the guys at Hypergear were making it in-shop, they sent me some photos of the process: I'm looking at selling this just because I'm in need of the money right now, and don't have plans on modifying the 34 anytime soon - and from reviews & peformance sheets, this turbo had amazing results back when I was researching. The turbo was purchased in 2018 for $1.9k, with the mods I got added on. Looking at the website now, for the same turbo they sell (ATR45SAT), with the current addons it adds up to $1830 for the turbo Current addons included: - Bolted dump adaptor - Ball bearing CHRA - Braided oil feeding line So I'm looking to possibly sell it for around $1800, with shipping included in that 1.8k, It cost me around $120 to ship - so yeah thought I'd throw it out there and see if anyone was interested in purchasing. Cheers!
