Just something silly to keep you amused until i update this thread properly with what is/will be new........ :woot:

Nice 34 mate! Just checked out the Ringwood vids - my 3076 setup on E85 makes 300rwkw by 5.5k rpm - getting it to the ground in 1st or 2nd is practically impossible - that's probably what it looks like when I take off hard! ;-)

I was going to go the ethanol sensor / flex fuel route, but the E85 from Caltex here in Adelaide has been consistent all year round so far, and with the wideband it doesn't seem all that necessary. How has it been working for you?

How much have you spent all up do you reckon (if you don't mind me asking)?

Thanks :) 5500rpm? That is pretty laggy.... Are you sure?

The Sensor is great as the car is full flex fuel so i can use 98, E85 and anything inbetween....

Spent? Basically 3 years of everything i had spare lol.... No idea but its a lot!

Its certainly thinking outside the box, I've personally never seen it tried on an RB25, but I'm sure the results will be spectacular :D

Hmmmm have you got a DIY thread on how to do this? I see gains to be had :P

Actually while I'm in here...

Hey Mat. UPDATES!! I know you're keeping secrets! :domokun:

Updates will be coming soon! Its getting the tune finally done with the bigger injectors

300kw by 5,500rpm laggy? Or are you just kidding? Lol. :P

The dyno sheet you posted (page 30 I think?) shows you are (or were) only just making over 300 at those revs - and I still have factory manifolds and a low mount internal wastegate turbo...! There's also a restriction somewhere, as it hits 300 and then just holds to redline on 18psi - adding more boost just makes the intake temps soar and the power drop. Theories are either the non-split dump pipe or the internally gated exhaust housing... Not really keen on spending any more money to find out though - the only time I can really open her up is when I head up into the hills anyway, it is a daily driver after all. Trying to get the power down now around town is just about impossible (as you'd know well) - There's a reason why GTRs exist... heh. 3rd flat out is an awesome feeling, but you're in serious loss of license territory by then! ;)

Your car sounds exactly the same as mine, but then again I suppose it should since it's the same turbo! And it sounds freaking tough by the way. Anyone that knows Skylines would know it's not stock.

I went with the Haltech P2000 as well - awesome ECU. People freak out when I show them what you can do with a laptop. It's amazing how many people have no idea what's going on behind the scenes with modern fuel injection.

I'm thinking of moving interstate this year and will probably need to get rid of the car (booo!), so I actually added up all my receipts the other night - imported the car 100% stock in 2007 for $23k complied, and my receipts for all mods (including wheels but not tyres or servicing) came out to around $27k. Not as bad as I imagined really... over 6 years it doesn't seem that bad. Oh, if anyone's interested in one of these toys pm me, I'd probably be 'happy' to part with it in the low $20k range...

    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
    • Nice car! I’m glad folks in the US have gotten past the FnF and are buying real cool cars like the 260RS I was with a bunch of mates in Portland about a year ago and spotted a green Stagea (just a regular 2.5T AWD) parked about 2 blocks away and they were like “a what?” So I made a bet with them for a round of beers and said “ok one of you run down there and tell me if the steering wheel is on the correct side” 5 mins later the American comes trudging back up the hill and goes “he’s right guys. Ok what beer do you want?”
    • Should replace OR drop the tank, give it's good clean. Might be worth replacing that entire fuel level/pump/cradle thing with this: https://frenchysperformancegarage.com/products/fpg-s13-180sx-r32gtst-single-pump-hanger-kit-billet-hat-6-v3-fpg-089?gQT=2
