It's interesting however, people were shitcanning the guy for asking loads of silly questions (myself included; I'll admit it)

Then when he does EXACTLY what everyone suggested; (do some research) you've still got the boot in.

He's dropped some serious cash on a mod that NO ONE else on the forum has tried; What's your pioneering new development?

If I'd copped the hard time you guys are giving him when I first came to the forum; I wouldn't have come back.

Just because we've been on here for a while, doesn't mean we can't learn something from a newcomer. This kind of attitude was what caused friction with the C34 guys who'd been on here for years before we got here.

This is NOT the way we should be acting towards one another.

Not to further stoke one of 'those' conversations; but I think the issue at hand is not only just how continually unclear/vauge his posts are, but Dust seems to have a "Im doing something you cant nur nur nur nur" attitude - which rubs me up the wrong way considering how willing to share everyone else is with their developments.

This.

Look, I don't blame him since he's caught a bit of flak on here (some of it deserved though)...

And the keyboard warrior thing...

Yeah, fair enough Dunc; I can see where you're coming from, but maybe it's just a case of telling us what he can, as it develops. He's only just had the preliminary tune by the sounds of it.

I'd be busting to let everyone know at every little step.

It's just easy for these throw away comments to spoil things

Thats exactly it; maybe I'm just used to threads on here where if someone undertakes some new development there's photos, videos, dyno sheets and details. When you dont see those, I naturally get quite skeptical (it is the internet after all, a land where 'the men are men, the women are men and the children are FBI agents').

Im keen to see the HKS install - and its results, simply because I find it interesting; and I say that knowing full well I'll never get a HKS unit for my car, because no one locally can work on it - I'd need to either invest/acquire the tuning software myself AND learn how to tune (Not an overnight job); Id hate to be stuck with a car knowing that if I change the exhaust I could lean out it out and melt a piston etc!

So please, Dust, post up some more details!

so been busy with fine tuning etc

lets just say the nm35 ecu harness yes is awsome direct plug in made the job a breeze then just a tune teheheh first run was awsome, as in the first boost around the block the car is a totally dif animal with just the ecu changed

fantastic....you have a plug in alternative! different animal in what way? Fuel consumption? Cam timing? Throttle control? ect!......Why don't you start a new thread on the F-con and spill the info as it comes and many people have done with you on this forum!

Dust,

You say that the loom plugged in and from memory you installed the F-Con IS.

You said that the HKS dealer has done a tune on your car. Was this done on a Dyno? Not sure how they would tune it otherwie?

Can you post some figures from the tune?

Cheers

Andy

Nah, he went with the V-Pro Andy.

+1 to all this

stiiiiiiiiiil sceptical

picsorban!

No need to be sceptical mate.

Just let them get it completely tuned, then ask for pics.

Who did the installation...Soichi? Do you have before and after dyno charts?

What is the speed limiter on M35 set at?

I got mine up to 180 the other day no worries. Not sure if would keep going but showed no signs of doing so.

Will have to give it another go....

180kph.... just remember that the speedo is about 10kmph too fast..

coming from the dumbass that answers his phone in mid flight from Fiji!

hoep ya had a good trip and happy birthday!

lol....nah I had landed and only just turned the phone on and it went mental!!!!.......you were the first call follow instantly by Alex!!!!

some of us are lucky and can keep going over that 180limit, had mine up to 200 bout 3 weeks ago... on a private road naturally :whistling:

is there any V-Pro tuners in syd? be intresting to see results.

so the V-Pro does the job of the E and V manage? or just E-manage?

Vmanage didnt seem to work as Scott may have explained in the first page..

Maybe check your ECU if it has any aftermarket Stamps! you may be lucky and have an AfterMarket ecu already! but i know a few stagea speedo's that are right out..usually because of different rolling diameter of wheels compared to stock :P

    • Are you suggesting that the kit did a cheap and nasty job of just jamming the wheel in between other things and caused the misalignment? I mean, we normally do this with an integrated crank trigger wheel, not something bodged on. It's not 1995 any more.
    • I mean, given the number of BMWs you own their tolerance for improper torque is rather low. The number of torque + angle spec bolts and non-reusable bolts in one is nuts.
    • Atmospheric vent requires something that doesn't use a MAF for load. You would need a standalone ECU for that.
    • Hey all,   I’ve got an RB25 with a trigger kit that includes a crank wheel, and I’ve hit a wall trying to sort a timing belt tracking issue. The belt either rides right on the edge of the cam/crank pulleys or walks slightly forward once the engine starts. It tracks okay-ish for a moment, then creeps right to the edge—and honestly, it’s stressing me out.   I’ve spent hours removing and reinstalling the belt, double-checking everything:   Tensioner setup is good, checked multiple times Idler pulley and washers are all in the correct places Followed the RB25 timing procedure step-by-step     The only thing I changed was the rear crank washer—I swapped the OEM one for a Neato version, and it made things worse. The belt now sits even more forward than before. I’m beginning to think the crank trigger wheel itself (from the trigger kit) is the issue—poor design or slightly off dimensions.   What’s strange is that with the previous belt setup, it actually ran fine for a couple of years—around 4,000 to 5,000 miles, even with hard driving and high RPMs. But even then, the belt was always riding right on the edge, and I know that’s not ideal or safe long term.   At this point, I’m debating whether to:   Machine a few mm off the crank trigger wheel to bring it back in line, or Replace it entirely with a better-designed unit     Only thing is, I already have the Cherry Hall sensors, bracket, etc.—I just want to replace the wheel only, not the entire kit. Anyone know a brand or supplier that sells just the crank trigger wheel on its own?   Would really appreciate any feedback—especially from anyone who’s run into this exact issue and found a reliable fix.   Thanks in advance.
    • Hi...a little refresh. Is Nistune gonna be enough to run BoV? Or do i need some proper ECU?
