they only take photos of the egine baby and dash with ign on(all lights up)

and under the car from the front.. mine was done at holden when i got this 200.

The pics dont go to Vic roads, only if you get a defect within 30days. Vicroads will only THEN ask for the pictures from the RWC issuer to see how it compares to what they took

He said no photos of engine bay. Just underneath, with 1 wheels off and dash... He made a point about the Hicas and airbag lights cos they flash etc.

RWC checklist:

Remove 2-way diff - Really?

Re-install Hicas - I should have one around somewhere.

Front tie rod ends - Bursons TE926-14

Raise about 1 inch

Re-install steering wheel

Remove exhaust and change - Really?

Change rims

Front fog light not working... I need s2 fog lights if anyone has them. 4 door fog lights seems to be a sealed light.

Take the cluster out, very easy and remove the blubs.

i guess different reasons for a roady mean different pictures..

i took mine for a legit roady to find if there was genuinly something wrong with the car, then he took it for a dodge viper2000.. nice car those are.

pics of bay, dash, and under car from the front.

only because pod, FMIC and s15 Steering wheel..cant see the hicas lock bar from the front in mine, ide assume the same for you.(mines a 34GTR rear diff..

Fark dude you got RWC raped :(

Definitely take the cluster out and pull the bulbs man, it'll be easier than refitting and you'll also need to never worry about it again :)

You shouldnt need to change the diff, thats farked :(

Lets have a working bee to help Billy to the SAU Nats lol

I'm fairly sure exhaust shouldn't need changing for RWC. Always thought it's fine as long it's secured properly and EGT sensor attached, and exhaust noise is EPA related or RW/Vicroads like to screw us lot?

That brings me to a story; Last December i bought a 32 GTR, seller said he had to put stock exhaust in cos the Apexi N1 is too loud to pass RWC, That being said, the system consists of 3" Y pipe, de-cat and stock catback. He then swapped back before I got the car.

I did! I might be changing the diff on Friday night with a mate... I hope.

Sunday working bee anyone? haha

yeh they do have to pass noise to pass a RWC.. but only at the discretion of the RWC issuer.. nothing to do with EPA

What?!

is it 90dB as per EPA or?

Victoria is now a very homosexual state...

Getting Hicas and stock catback from alex.

I was amazed at having to change the diff!! so annoying....

Im just getting the KKR adjustable pillowball tie rod ends

I might have a stock S2 diff you can borrow. Will check tonight.

I would just tell the guy you got the diff reconditioned and it clunks because it is yet to wear in, at least that is what the diff place told you....

as i said, whatever the RWC tester considers quiet.

Straight pipes dont help

lol well yeh

doesnt make sense though seeing as the stock is over EPA limit anyway..

    • Oh, also, forgot to add these photos I believe.
    • Thought i'd update on this. I was able to get in contact with Craig Lieberman and later on Darryl Alison (owner of Kaizo Industries). Darryl was able to help me verify that my car was in fact one of theirs and is helping me find more info on mine !
    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
