Tough wheels!

I like'em.

Or just get Charles to vinyl wrap your spoiler :P

Don't think vinyl wrap in CF will look good on purple.

Sticker bomb would be though, just need to find some.

Still not sure about the Panasports though, just walked outside to get mail from the letterbox, watching the R thinking, man, 17s does look tiny!

I meant get Charles to vinyl wrap it in purple or try and match your colour as close as possible.

17" will look tiny on a R33 GTR, you need to go at least 18".

Jamie, if I'm going to wrap it, I'd rather to have it stand out. If I'm going to wrap it in purple, I may as well paint the whole spoiler.

Yeah, for me to go 18s I'd have to grab a softer set coilovers than what I've got in mine atm, and grab swaybars - more money down in the drain...

600x600..

What happened to eastside imports club or whatever it was called..?

Ask Jezza Boi as he started that.

I think they are still around, but Vic Imports Clubs was the branch off club from SEI, which is growing quiet big.

True, sticker it up yo!

Haha!

you'll get there.

I'm in 2 minds about it, the coilovers I've got in makes the R handles really amazing (don't have any other form of handling bits) but it is way too harsh for street driving, one uneven surface, my driving position changed that instant - which isn't good should I want to make the R faster...

Atm, looking for softer coilovers, so far seen Tein Driving Master - need to do research whether how stiff it is.

Hey, not sure if this much will cover the area I want, where did you buy them from?

Harsh ride? Time to man up

I don't mind it actually, but I'm not sure if I wanna wreck wheels this rare though.

Yes, I'm a girl now, deal with it.

I don't disagree with what Alex is saying about lock in times, it's a legitimate reason for some people not entering. I don't mind staying the whole day, I can always leave my car there and go do something else...doesn't suit everyone though.

I just want to say one last "tl;dr" passage, that committee do take suggestions on board...it's stupid not to listen to your own members. But most of the time, the issue being raised is one that's already been discussed by us (~10 people). A decision has to be made, and sometimes we end up divided over it. Anyone can spot problems, coming up with an actual solution to keep everyone happy is another thing. If you've got a solution, send it through...I'm not being a smart ass...trust me, they will 100% welcome it if they can't fault it. That's all committee is, a bunch of fellow members critiquing items and throwing ideas/input at it until a majority agree on something...because 10 minds are better than 1.

Docklands only want us to move cars in and out during non peak times, being the start of the day and the end of the day. Which is a shame, because it is an awesome and central location. So then you change it to something like Caribbean Gardens, where you can drive in and out...suddenly you're snubbing the west siders who cbf driving an hour to the SnS, and I can't blame them for that.

Anyone want to help with / do a boot install for $$$?

No waiz.. what did you have back then?

Knew some people from Mccr, it's a shame they no longer exist. The club exec. was a dude with a black Mr2 and i believe he also had a powerful soarer

lol I was on my L plates when MCCR was around...only went to a couple of cruises, hung around the forums a bit.

    • Have a vb in honour of the car comming back
    • It was a great, but typical track day, and some VB was ingested at the night time debrief 🤪
    • And so, to round this out, I couldn't be happier to confirm @MBS206 has decided to buy the car. He drove down from sunny QLD with a trailer last week and it is off to its new home today. I'll let Matt confirm on next steps but I understand broadly that the plan is to leave it pretty much as is, and just get some quality wheel time with a nicely balanced car that is pretty much track ready. There are a few a jobs still to be done first but nothing too major and I think its a very smart buy Dinner last night at the Paragon with a round of VBs (mostly) for Neil
    • Well, 50 pages and the end of a chapter for this car. We took it out for a shakedown at Wakie yesterday, and everything went well. There were a couple of niggles: - Oil cooler fitting leak - tightened, cleaned, stopped leaking - Radiator cap overflow fitting was leaking....Mark called it, the overflow fitting was threaded in and not tight....tightened, tested and held pressure - Small oil leak at the rear of the block, probably the turbo oil feed - too hot to get at it comfortably but probably just needs to be nipped up - leak at the driver's side rear brake line where it meets the hardline. Fitting wasn't loose, so Matt backed it off and back on, no further leaks - there's also a leak somewhere on the top of the fuel tank, maybe that cross over fuel line - that was has been left to fix when its on a hoist Otherwise than those niggles the car went great, turned great and stopped great so it was a very successful day out. I'm always really nervous when a car first hits the track after a long break, especially with a brand new engine as well but it was great. VID-20251011-WA0007.mp4  Big thanks to @The Bogan who dropped by and helped out, @MBS206 and my nephew Lachlan the apprentice.  Neil's wife Mel also surprised the hell out of all of us by dropping by; she's up in Tamworth these days but was travelling to Melbourne so had plausible deniability for turning up at the garage, it was great to see her but also obviously a bit sad all round.
