pfft, since when is Birds ever right?

I guess the question to ask is, when have I been wrong? :P

Time to get my spending in order else i'll end up like those people Birds hate, who always have no money! ;)

You mean my deadshit friends? The ones I had dinner with on Friday and come bill time we were $60 short because the f**kin scumbags couldn't keep track of what they ordered or "forgot" about all the drinks they ordered. Told em to get f**ked and work it out between them :/

Do Fulcrum still do 3 Year warranties on Australian-spec Super Streets?

I got the Jap spec so no idea. Probably not though.

But they have a Pulsar class this year... and its every 2 years... i was excited for DECA but there will always be another one

Yer but 1 x DECA is more fun than 2 x CSA nationals, so you'd be waiting another 2 years to have the same fun anyway.

Oh he's talking about CSA Nationals rather than SAU Nationals. In that case, in agreeance with Birds.

In that case no. Way back when I bought mine (and as far as I was still aware) the Fulcrum Aus-spec Super Streets were covered by a 3 Year warranty which was handy.

I don't wanna get into a souvlaki war, but if it's a Lambs war, gay Lambs on Commercial Rd for me please. Just don't park in the no parking zone or it'll be the most expensive souvlaki you ever eat :P

The Lambs on Chapel have too much fat in their meat and shit slicing too, not small enough. Haven't tried Lygon or Brunswick.

Deeeerp so unfortunate. Stupid no standing zone! Two days before Christmas and we were stopped for 10 whole minutes too!

Also I'm guessing you haven't gone to chapel lambs much since you liked commercial better and it's so close. Chapel could have changed ;)

SAU motorbike ride to kebab store kgo!

I can definitely attest to Lygon have enough parking right outside the store :)

Not much, but I do know the people who own one of the Chapel Lambs (thus know it hasn't changed); my friends make me go there occasionally and I feel the same each time. Plus the guys on Commercial look after me so I return with loyalty :)

Yup...missus goes to the movies with her sisters family on the weekend. Gives her $60 for 4 movies tickets (~$22 each for 3D movie). So my missus decides to pay for 2 movie tickets....

I was like

This has happened a few times as well

Noooms. Lambs on Chapel... 5 minues walk from home.

Lambs on Lygon... 1 minute walk from school.

Best.

Hehe! Win!

amateurs, Lambs on Brunswick st is the best

Ah yes! So good :D

Or Stalactites!

I overpay, I think it's courtesy to avoid that shit. Expecting others to pick up your shit is fked. If you end up $15 over from overpaying then leave it as a tip or buy beers at a bar.

+1 for Stalactites being shit. My friend loves them, told me he prefers to Lambs, that shit cray.

Kebabs may be nice, but it will never beat a $12 Parma from Spred Eagle hotel. Six varieties Sunday Monday Tuesday. The place rounds down the bill for me when I take my mates and last time when they brought out the wrong parma by accident (extending my wait by 5 little minutes) they served me free of charge. Now that's pretty awesome.

Still just my CBR1000RR... But stay tuned man.... Very very very very soon there should be an addition as long as everything goes well :)

I feel it's important to distinguish between Melbourne souvlakis and kebabs, as many people think they are one and the same.

Souvlaki = wrap, untoasted, usually made by Greeks/Lebs and bought from a walk in shop. No such thing as a doner souvlaki.

Kebab = wrap, often toasted, usually made by goat lovers/Arabs and bought from a van. You can get a doner kebab.

There is a lot of crossover, but in pure form, that's how it is!

    • Here is the mess that I made. That filler there was successful in filling dents in that area. But in the middle area. I can feel dents. And I've gone ocer it multiple times with filler. And the filler is no longer there because i accidently sanded it away. I've chased my tail on this job but this is something else lol. So I'm gonna attempt filler one more time and if it doesn't work I'll just high fill primer the door and see where the issues are because guidecoat is of no use atm.
    • Ok, so I think I sort of figured out where I went wrong. So I definitely overthinked it, and I over sanded, which is probably a large part of the problem. to fix it, I ended up tapping some spots that were likely to be high, made them low, filled them in, and I tackled small sections at a time, and it feels a lot better.    I think what confused me as well is you have the bare metal, and some spots darker and some are lighter, and when I run my finger across it, it' would feel like it's a low spot, but I think it's just a transition in different texture from metal to body filler.    When your finger's sliding on the body filler, and crosses over to the bare metal, going back and forth, it feels like it's a low spot. So I kept putting filler there and sanding, but I think it was just a transition in texture, nothing to do with the low or high spot. But the panel's feels a lot better, and I'm just going to end up priming it, and then I'll block it after with guide coat.   Ended up wasting just about all of my filler on this damn door lol
    • -10 is plenty for running to an oil cooler. When you look at oil feeds, like power steering feeds, they're much smaller, and then just a larger hose size to move volume in less pressure. No need for -12. Even on the race cars, like Duncans, and endurance cars, most of them are all running -10 and everything works perfectly fine, temps are under control, and there's no restrictions.
    • Update: O2 sensor in my downpipe turned out to be faulty when I plugged in to the Haltech software. Was getting a "open circuit" warning. Tons of carbon buildup on it, probably from when I was running rich for a while before getting it corrected. Replaced with new unit and test drove again. The shuffle still happens, albeit far less now. I am not able to replicate it as reliably and it no longer happens at the same RPM levels as before. The only time I was able to hear it was in 5th going uphill and another time in 5th where there was no noticeable incline but applying more throttle first sped it up and then cleared it. Then once in 4th when I slightly lifted the throttle going over a bump but cleared right after. My understanding is that with the O2 sensor out, the ECU relies entirely on the MAP tune and isn't able to make its small adjustments based on the sensors reading. All in all, a big improvement, though not the silver bullet. Will try validating the actuators are set up correctly, and potentially setting up shop time to tune the boost controller on closed loop rather than the open loop it is set to now. Think if it's set up on closed loop to take the O2 reading, that should deal with these last bits. Will try to update again as I go.
    • More so GReddy oil relocation kits, sandwich plates, etc. all use 10AN fittings. And same, I've only used 10AN and my car sees track work (circuit, doing laps, not 10 sec squirt business).
