Think I was driving behind one today, maybe slightly older....Sounded tough when he let it rev out a bit at low speed then backed off...

So he should he's a f**kin dog...Should get 4 weeks for that if Crameri gets 2 weeks for a f**kin accidental bump

And the tribunal tells the jury not to take his previous offences into account, what a crock of shit

good luck man :D

anyone know if there are any places which sell defi gauges in Melbourne? or at worst in Aus?

trying to grab an oil press gauge (no overnight parts from japan yo)

How long are you willing to wait? I got an awesome deal through RMS Motor Parts - http://www.rmsmotorparts.com.au/ - many moons ago. You have to wait for them to come from Japan though (no overnight parts yo)

fk em they deserve it and the bs union demands, if my boss's went broke ain't no government handouts for them or me/us other employee's that's the real world. Government has no place meddling in private industry.

not to mention make a decent fkn car and people will buy it.

I think Leigh's supercharged v8 is a decent car. In order for car companies to survive you need to pump out generic camrys cars and none of us want that...

4 weeks.. second!

Leigh car is good and the engine is incredible, unfortunately everything eles on it is subpar for the price range, hsv has 5 times the amount of sales because they offer a complete package is the only difference i can thing of, handling, interior etc

It's a good car but unfortunately FPV don't come near HSV in sales, who import their engines from overseas.. now that Ford Australia have developed an AWESOME engine they should sell the f**ker overseas!!! Actually make that 2 awesome engines, the 4.0l turbo and the new 5.0 supercharged.. they'd sell like hotcakes

yeah true, thing is though, toyota, ford & holden all share the same parts suppliers in Australia. When one car manufacturer takes a hit, the parts suppliers take a hit which then affects the other 2 car manufacturers.

Toyota provides support to ford & holden knowing that if ford/holden die, then toyota will be in pain...

yeh i dont know why they cant make sales fpv, from sitting in one (never driven one) i would guess its the interior that people go 60k+ wtf? its just not upto it compared with other options and its only gonna be worse with the srt chrysler.

    • I thought it could be an issue because the standard plate was flexing when stressed. Maybe the original gear set will hold a bit better without flex? Last time on the dyno it made around 670nm at the hubs. Now it have bigger turbo and better intake but have not been on a dyno yet. The car is being used from family trips to drag race events. So the shifts can be a little violent. It is grinding if I shift to fast so was thinking I should overhaul it soon.
    • From the factory on RB26s there's a fitting on the intake manifold collector/"plenum" that provides pre-throttle boost signal. That's how they did it back in the day, I figure it's fine to replicate it.
    • I would be surprised if that wasn't the issue. It's probably telling you, that even if you remove the plastic liner, you may have some other clearance issues that may occur too in some scenarios. IE, tyre to guard. It looks like someone has already rolled the lip, but you may still have issues in the future IE, turning and hitting a bump etc. The fact it changes how bad it makes the noise when you are going backward vs forward is highly indicative that it's the tyre rubbing. They do make a terrible sound, even if you're only pushing a project car that has a liner hanging down on a tyre!   Has the car been lowered? If it has been, what is the measurement from the centre of the wheel hub to the lip of the guard straight up?

    • Mark's a bit smarter than people give him credit... He'd convince the person that is to become dead, to drive him to the forest first. That way his car has no evidence in it, and he's free to dispose of their vehicle permanently how he sees fit too...
