I'm guessing if you rode it quick enough my bike would see 150-160 on some of the straights.

on an R1... more

driving through there in the 33 "obeying" the speed limits and all rad rules I would "assume" there are parts I could get to around that speed, of course there is no way you would be looking at the speedo lol

me? not at all... I used to be a pro-am freestyle skiier... no fear there and no cage.

After bombing 50ft cliffs and landing between trees, rocks etc every day you lose the fear until something happens that stops you.

A few of my mates had serious, serious injuries (talking broken spine, full facial reconstruction etc) and then stopped, but until it happens to you, you never learn.

I ended up leaving the sport due to politicts and the fact that the coaches took all the fun out of it.

This is the reason that I have never bought a motorbike.

I have a very blurred line when i'm close to the edge and I always step over it because I am so used to being able to bring it back. If I had a bike, I know I wouldn't be here now

Wow it's too early in the morning for long posts, ill read later

new series of come dine with me (UK) is disturbing...

after a few years they have worked out the formula that people want, it's not good food, it's trashy scumbags lol

I have seen 2 eps of this season and so far 1 had a DISGUSTING 49 year old brittish slag solicitor with teeth straight out of a family guy british pisstake that was just a filthy whore that hasn't had it in years, so she was constantly talking about sex which was sickening... and the other involved a 30 year old dude making out with a 70 year old woman, over nad over again....

I've given up. I'm just gonna maintain it the way it is, might do coilovers and better tyres.. But after that I think it's time I thought about moving out

Mmm to rent or to buy?

Which area you thinking?

Come move next door to my house lol

Oh yeah drop some of Alvins Honey pork at my house :D

Yes, however Rimon asked what sort of speeds we saw on those roads and on that particular cruisy day we saw some motorcyclists doing what we can guess is around 150-160...

Or 200 using the police method of estimating speed...i.e. pick a number between 1 and 300.

My bad, they use camouflage and radar to cure rather than prevent

Love the bullshit line about the rest of the sections being too hard to enforce, so they stick to the downhill dip that everyone does a few km over through...

Pretty good time to buy I think, house prices seem to be stabilizing and interest rates are low

Alex can throw in his 2 cents!

Yeah Alvin said he'll make more so I can get some too lol

    • Just had this happen to me too.  R32 GTR.   Also broke "just before going out onto the track" - someone up there is looking out for us... Very scary since I was about to do a narrow street course with zero run-off and curbs everywhere. Many people on here upgrading to billet uprights and R35 bearings?   Or buying new OEM knuckles?  I am not keen to replace with another s/h 30 year old fatigued part.
    • Top off with distilled water and see what happens. If you keep losing coolant then you know to start looking.
    • Nope.    Grab a varex and turn it down as you get close to home, win win?
    • So, I've had my V36 for about a month now and have already copped an "excessive exhaust noise" notification from QLD TMR, reported by someone in my local area. It's a twin as per the original, and can have a bit of a throaty note to it when idling cold 😄 and if I do get up it a bit, it can be noisy, but it did pass a roadworthy inspection before sale, so.... ... but in the interest of being a good neighbour, I do want to quieten it down a bit. Is anyone here running a quiet aftermarket cat-back on their V36 or 370Z? And the big, bold question: does an aftermarket cat-back really make much of a performance difference on these cars?
    • The wiring diagram for the R33 RB25 is freely available, and is essentially the same same as most other RBs (just with differences as to which pin # does which job). To get the ECU to power up, you just need to provide power to the ECCS relay, and have the other power feeds that come in from the top left of the wiring diagram (wrt the ECU) that give perma power to the fuel pump relay, the ECU itself, etc etc, all connected. When you put power on all these it will just come to life. It's pretty clear from the diagram what needs to happen. Just follow the lines from the 12V + supply stuff in the top left over towards the ECU. I've even posted snips of such diagrams (not for vanilla 25, I think for Neo and 26) to various threads here in the last few months, talking about what it takes to get the fuel pump and FPCM up and going. Search these up and they will help get you started on doing the same with the vanilla 25 diagram. Hell, for all I know, I've done the same with that one in years past and have forgotten.
