lol that's not a good sign :O

but more than likely it's where he lives / how he drives... cops LOVE them a bit of the ol "pull up an N/A skyline and major defect for a pod filter" move

yeah maybe, he lives around Frankston Nth...lol, i have no idea how he drives but he went of GOR somehow and had to get towed out, so I'm guessing he drives like Aaron.....it has big HKS gauges on the dash that don't help either...tried convince him to lose them but hes sentimentally attached to em..police have never paid any attention to my car..i don't know why maybe its not hektik enough or maybe coz i'm old man :(

I did alright in my 33... was fairly extreme and never got hastled too badly... the issue was that when it eventually did happen it was a major PITA to fix (i/c hole etc)

well yeah 12mths reg and new bridgestones is an easy grand right there....yeah hang out for 4k at least...its worth it...i was surprised what good condition it was in for the KMs on it

D'ya reckon i'd get more interest if i got a certified label saying "Detailing Artz recommends this product"?

with a pic of you like so.

You could charge an extra $50 with a "For Sale buff package". I swear thats how carsales make all their money.

My sister sold her car a little while ago to this Irish bloke, he never went to Vicroads for the transfer and managed to rack-up a whole heap of fines. 20 demerit points in 4 weeks... she is only on her L's and kept receiving Licence Suspension notices. was pretty hilarious.

Ah, let it elapse the first time?

Haha I'm a short kent so I think I won't mind riding a tiny 250 to begin with... 600s can come later :P

Yeah, bad idea - got my licence this time though. Should have ridden more before doing the test, but still passed :D

Clutch cable already shipped... had some new levers slipped in to the package too.. oops :D

so you are going to stay at the mercy of even bigger dickheads (HWP) by retaining?

Lol I was thinking that, I've done better than most with the cops so I'm not too worried. Also anything I get as a replacement will also be low and loud haha

I've been starting to think lately, about what car I'll get when the time comes. I haven't been in a situation for the last few years where I've even needed to bother thinking about it, so now I have no idea what I'll get when the time comes.

Any suggestions? leaning more towards new/newer cars, probably not a skyline/jap car at this stage but open to suggestion...

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.

    • Yes, but, I paid cash and I'm pretty sure the receipt was in the bin 10 minutes after I got home Note to self, keep all receipts

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
