they are too small and over priced for what you get is the primary reason i can think of.

i actually dont mind the z4 myself but its a really niche market a pure two door, not to dissimilar to the slk mercs nice car but strict 2 seater is hard to go for when you have 3 series coupes of c class coupes etc

SLK and Z4 are good fun and practical if you don't need to carry passengers. Bit overpriced new though, especially the Z4. Second hand SLK are a good bargain, speaking relatively that is.

Hadn't seen the RCF before you lads mentioned it, I like.

Can't decide what to do car wise...

C63 would be sick (I assume, having never driven or been in one)

Some of the beamers look sick, 335, the M1/1M or whatever it's called...

But then there's the issue of needing a tow car/ute for my track bike and maybe a jet ski or boat...

can strongly vouch for c63 amazing to drive sound is so addictive its actually unfair.

335 is not in the same class imo still an absolute weapon fast, refined maybe even say the interior feels a bit nicer but probably subjective. to truly compare c63 has to be m3 (speaking of which one in altona meadows going cheap 79k with fk all kms) cos v8 > 6cyl

1m is a cool little car but i wouldn't consider it in the same line as the other two options its much smaller, still fast but almost seems like a novelty car given how rare it is etc. Never been in a 1m though having said all that just a 135.

for what its worth the new 235i about to come out is a very very attractive option 0-100 4.8sec (i think it was) making it .2 slower than the M4 and 79k brand new nothing comes close for the money. Suppose you'd have to see what options you'd need on top but brand new > 4-5 year old no warranty on something like a c63.

RCF is apparently going to be as good as the m4 - having said that the RCF will likely have 10 times the features of the m4 for less but be interesting to see when its out i think the lexus looks hot as wont be in my budget though so hoping the 3.5ltr 6cyl one will be *fingers crossed*

nice deal save quite a bit with the servicing etc, the best feautre IMO is unlocking the car at night / underground carpark and the welcome home lights up car turns heads like no tomorrow lol

love dem gimmicks.

havent seen that feature yet!

i look forward to it :P

Pics of Audi?

i dont take delivery until next week but its the same as this pic i found online..

oh man you'll love it you go the xenons and led's yeah? just leave headlights on auto and jump out at night / jump in at night and the magic will happen as long as you got the feature set to on - should be as standard.

nice i love those rims mines the older model so got the 19" Y arm style was gonna change em over but cbf don't think ill keep it much longer

like this -

yeah thought of a new holden/ford as an option but I want something different that you don't see everyday/every man and his dog has..

Maloo/GTS/whatever the top FPV ute/sedan is these days would be alright and would be brand new as opposed to a second hand c63, but they're pretty common...

Maybe I'll settle for a regular ute/tow car, as in not even an SS etc and go all out on the other one..

I thought that was the issue? This isn't my bias opinion, but if I was looking for competition for the 1m the a and cla 45s would knock it for 6.

I heard a v8 a6(?) go past and I needed to go home to change my pants

But you just can't go past the c63 for noise, as Alex said, it's frustratingly addictive and makes you want to be in it all the time

    • You just need to remove the compressor housing, not the entire turbo. I would not be drilling and tapping anything with the housing still on anyways.
    • So, I put my boat on a boat. First of all, I'm going to come out and say it. Why is Tasmania not considered a holy goal, an apex that all road-legal modified cars go to, to experience? This place is an absolute wonderland of titanic proportions. If people are already getting club runs for once in a lifetime 30 person cruises to Tassy then I've never seemed to see it. It is like someone replaced the entire place with an idyllic wonderland for cars, and all of the people living there with paid actors who are kind, humble, and friendly. Dear god. After doing a lap of almost all of the place I've found that it's a great way to find out all of the little things that the car isn't doing quite right and a great way to figure it all out. All in all, I drove for 4 hours a day for a week and nothing broke. I didn't even need to open the engine bay. This is by all means a great success, but it has left me with a list of things to potentially address. I also now have a 3D printed wheel fitment tool which annoyingly hasn't got any threads in it to actually assemble it. I might be able to tape it together to check the sizing I actually want to use, but it'll likely involving pulling the shocks out to properly measure travel at least at the front, and probably raise the car while I'm at it, at least in the rear. I scraped on quite a few things and I'm not sure how else to go about it. I was taking anything with a bump at what felt like 89 degree angles. And address those 10 other tasks. And wash the car. God damn it is dirty. And somehow, the weather was perfect the entire time - And because I was on the top of Mt Wellington it turns out it was very much about to freeze up there. I did something I typically never do and took some photos up there in what must have been -10 and the foggy felt like suspended ice, rather than mere fog. If you own a car in Australia, you owe it to yourself to do it.
    • Damn that was hilarious, and a bit embarrassing for skylines in general 😂 vintage car life ey. That R33 really stomped. Pretty entertaining stuff
    • Hi, I have a r32 gtr transmission. Does any of you guys have an idea how much power it will hold with the billet center plate and stock gearset? At what power level and use did yours brake with or without billet plate? Thanks, Oystein Lovik
    • Saw this replica police car based on a Mitsubishi Starion XX parked next to a 'police box' (it's literally a box) in Hirohata, Himeji City in Hyogo prefecture the other day. It's owned by Morii-san who is a local Mitsubishi Starion enthusiast. According to a local radio station blog post, he always wanted to make a police car himself based on ones he saw in his favourite Manga comics.  As it's illegal to modify a car to look like a police car and drive on the road, Morii-san tried many times to get permission from Aboshi police station headquarters nearby. They refused initially by after they got tired of that they granted him permission. However, the car can only be displayed on private property and obviously can't be registered as long as the police livery is present. The car was completed at a cost of 1.5 million yen (US$ 10,000) in addition to the car cost. A location was chosen outside Hirohata Police box where the car can easily been seen from the street. Morii-san has two other Starion road cars, both widebody GSR-VRs.
