If listed all the go fast bits on my car, people would think AMAGAD BUILD THREAD??? but it performs rather.. averagely.

Not bad, just averagely.

It has Tomei type B's in it (engine is 2.8L), adjustable cam gears, and I'm not 100% certain that it's all the way it should be. It probably isn't actually wrong, but I doubt it's completely right so it'll bug me until it's checked.

I've also read many places on SAU that having an adjustable exhaust cam gear is of benefit. So I got one, with my cams, and no one has ever actually adjusted it to see if it does anything. Just a "she'll be right mate its designed to be on +0" in which case why even make the item?

Fair enough, have you had opinions from the tuners etc..?

Is it currently with a reputable workshop?

Curious to know which one its at. PM it if you want to keep the workshop private

bahahahah.

they are race cams for the 1.3 in the micra..... going stupidly cheap. but i dont know enough about duration/lift etc to even contemplate buying them....

I could ask a mate if you REALLY wanted to know....

race cams for race head or just OEM head???

If OEM will certainly requiring machining. That's about all I know.......and IF I'm wrong well my disclaimer is this.......kiss my French something something dark-side :P

i have consulted the guru of all that is micra.

ghettofrank.

hopefully he should get back to me when he wakes up, but from what im reading your right ants...

this is tomei poncam spec. http://www.rhdjapan.com/tomei-camshafts-procam-poncam-cg13de.html

the engine it came out of must have been mental.

just be wary: procam is for solid lifters. poncam is for hydraulic. anything bigger than 280-290 degrees... you'd want solid.

Dont know much about those engines, but cams that big is like "I need to wait 15mins for my car to warm up before its possible to drive it under 40km/h" and the "my car doesnt make power less than 4krpm"

thanks man. will leave them the f**k alone then.

Seems to be some car enthusiasts on my street, there's been beemers, mercs, and now micra project cars in the carport.

give that micra kent a shout and see if he has any parts!

where you live?

Who needs a daily?

I have a workmate selling a 1995 integra Type R for ~ $2k with RWC

f**k me your kidding?

would have loved that 3 months ago.

    • The issue now is the 'fuel cut' while driving, and when it happend, it does not stall. This, I did not test the fuel pressure while driving as I cannot with a fuel pressure gauge. I do have Nistune logs, yes. I have also replaced the MAF Sensor.   Also related to the FPG Fuel Hanger – I just realized that I need a Deutsch Crimp Tool to crimp some cables for the FPG Fuel Hanger. Need to purchase additional cables as the kit only included 2, which are for the float. FPG has not responded to my emails so far since purchasing. I thought about taking it to someone and having it done professionally, but I am reluctant since everyone I took it to messed up in some way.
    • There's a good German place in Brisbane if youre up for the drive 😛
    • The German place in Cabramatta was rock solid, fresh pretzel cooked to order back then. Then it went all quiet, after all the poker machines were removed, then I believe it closed for good. I did drive past the other week and noticed outdoor lighting a big screen, but no idea what is there now.
    • Yeah I suspect even if you hold airmass per cycle/cylinder constant if you get too far away from stock you're still going to have problems running the factory tune within the bounds of the factory load scale. Cams, different displacement/rod ratio, etc. I'm just lucky that the GTIII-SS with wastegate boost + CA compliance cats is pretty much equivalent to stock turbos. When I have actual space I can finally get it tuned and modify the fuel system for flex fuel to 100% handle any detonation concerns when cranking the boost to whatever those dinky turbos can put out.
    • I would say no, why, because my daughter, who also lives in Goulburn, hasn't recommended us going there Pity, as we miss all the German joints around in Sydney, actually, the restaurants are the only thing I really miss about Sydney, and a special mention to Ishibanboshi at Bondi Junction, their Kara-age Don is heart cloggingly deliciousness (always added a special boiled egg...or 2) 😋
