RS4 was no racing model when I drove it, my guess is the RS5 isn't much better.

30 more kw and another 100kg

Prolly similar

Still pulls a 4.5 second 0-100, would have been a good contest given my propensity to face diagonally until second gear!

RS5 y u no drag me. You didn't buy the sports model, you bought the racing model...why do this if you're gonna take off like a Hyundai Excel. Did the smell of burning sugarcane scare you?

Answer me!

because you touch yourself at night

Spend $20k to get both.

Bahahaha! Nice thinking Grant! But unfortunately not to be.

Which setup will give you more gains?

Both will give similar results, with the supercharger giving between 350-400rwkw but with bucketloads of torque on tap from basically anywhere in rev range.

Single turbo (either a Garrett GT4088 or equivilant Turbonetics turbo) will be pushing around that ballpark too, but more likely to touch and/or topple the 400rwkw mark. Being on a 6L, can't imagine a lot of lag but won't have the level or response the charger has.

So similar power but with 2 different characteristics...

You after low down response or top end?

Spend half on each and you get both for 10 large?

:P

Going by that logic, I'll have a water-to-air intercooler installed, as well as the front mount air-to-air intercooler installed with the exhaust manfiolds, but no turbo and no sueprcharger. LOL!

Yeah basically!

Umm... both? hahaha To be honest, I'm not even 100% sure what I want, all I know is I have boost withdrawl symptons ever since selling my 33 and in search of my next boost hit :(

Personally I'd be going for the SC option, for a street car the low down goodness is going to be much more beneficial. Just change gears earlier ;) You'll still be going 200kmph be the time you run out of gears at low revs :P

Do that, and film people (including finest constabulary) reactions when the bonnet is open.

Hmmm true true. I would probably be swinging towards charging cos I've had a turbo 6 before, and the car is currently cammed so can say I've had a cammed V8, so I guess the only thing I haven't tried is a supercahrged 8. Hmmm....

bring to scotty and do it for less lol.

Hahaha you keep saying that! But how much can Scotty do it for though? A GT4088 is about $2.3k on its own, plus a decent cooler core probably about $600, external wastegate about $800, BOZ about $400. Add in lines, fittings, piping, tuning and labour and I reckon I'll be close to nuding the $10k mark anyway :(

That'd be asking for an ass reaming LOL

Hahahahahhahah! You better believe it! ;)

Up to you I guess, I mean, it's a 6lt and as you know, it ain't short of low down torque.

Put the turbo in for some nice top end fun.

Well once it kicks in from the low down torque, it will still power all the way through.

You'd probably just start spinning the rear tyres a hell of a lot more :)

Hahaha, yeah that's the only thing that is making me think supercharging, cos even though I LOVE the violent-ness of a car coming hard on boost with a turbo, the crappy commo would struggle to put that power to the ground I rec kon, even though it weighs almost 2 tons

    • Don't even try to run it on the stock ECU if you're going to have the boost controller bring boost above ~10 psi. I've already told you that. If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
