hybrid performance manifold, using one with gt3582r and another with precision 6266... cannot beat the price and value.. you would be stupid 2 purchase anything else around that price range. specially the cheap chinese shit. we all know the problems they have.

Yeah not too bad with the ring spanner, I recall there was one that I could get about 2mm of movement so I got the grinder out and cut the spanner :D I'm just lazy and love using ratchets. But brilliant value for money.

My cars still in the build stage so cant report too much on their durability but the welds were good, the position of the turbo flange is great, lots of space to the cam cover. alot of the stainless cheapies wont fit most aftermarket turbochargers.

I had to make a custom mount for the power steering reservoir as it fouled on the compressor housing.

How long have you been using the Hybrid manifold?

what turbo are you using with it?

They don't look to bad for $350-400 and there made out of steampipe/mild steel

I'm using a hybrid one with a 5558 Been on the car for about 3 months

So far Done about 3000kms maybe

Including drags at wsid and a trackday at Wakefield .

I can not complain for price

I had to make a custom mount for the power steering reservoir as well... It took all of 20 mins, if that?

I've had the hybrid mani on the car for about 1000kms now (car sits at 370rwhp), it's been a hard 1000kms :-P

Was probably the most straight forward Part of this Build lol.

Did you make a brace for you turbo? Im thinking of making one utilizing the bolts that hold the crossover piping to the head.

We will have some low mount ones that we are working on, which will be available in a couple weeks , The ones we will be doing will be good to run with a 38mm wastegate , if you are wanting to run big horse power i would suggest going for the top mount with a larger wastegate port, Low mounts are a mission and cramps everything in a tight spot so its quiet hard to make something which will look half decent and will also clear everything.

I haven't made one yet. I had the same idea. Only because there is a lot of weight hanging off those exhaust studs in the engine block. The gyrating force of the turbo (not sure if that's the correct term) would put a but of strain on those studs as well.

yeah hot manifold + the weight of the bits attached would put alot of strain on the studs, hate removing broken studs! I didn't think the turbo spinning would affect too much if its properly balanced but then again, I am no turbo expert, thats why I'm on these forums

Ill get some steel and see what I can do for a mount, should be quite easy as the Hybrid manifold has both T3 and T4 bolt holes so i can mount to that.

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
